This is not a hotel, just one bed flats in a tower block. there was no reception when we arrived, we were given instructions on how to type a code and pick up our key from the box. The 'apartment' is really spacious but very dated and tired. There was couple of dents in the bedroom and bathroom doors from someone trying to punch it. The place is centrally located and good value for money in one of the most expensive capitals in Europe. I would look else where if I decided to come back to Helsinki.
Fantastic location and very spacious apartments. They do need modernising and a general refresh but that aside I would not hesitate recommending if your main purpose of staying is to visit and see the sights of Helsinki
We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location. Tram stop just around the corner. We were surprised at how big our room was in the one bedroom apartment with sauna. Only thing some people may have a problem with the lighting because it wasn't great but it wasn't a problem for us. And if mobility is a problem there is a lift but our room was eiteit a short setsof stairs down door up from where the lift stopped. It was an older lift which added character
Awful! Fetid smell in bathroom because floor floods everytime one has a shower because there was only a half of the shower door in place, no shower curtain, and a gap between the shower door frame and the floor. Bed, the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. Ancient spring mattress completely worn out, you have the option of laying one way with your head higher than your feet or the other way with your feet higher than your head. And in the middle, a spine contorting depression that makes any attempt to sleep a painful experience. With the reception closing at 1700 by the time you want to sleep its far too late to complain and try and get moved.
Friendly staff. Excellent location (near the city center). There are all necessary household appliances. Magnificent sauna. The only negative, which can be noted: bad room noise insulation. Next time, when I will stay in Helsinki in this hotel.
Spent the NYE in Hellsten Senate Penthouse. The apartment was spacious, also kitchen was big and well equipped. Perfect for a group of friends. However we needed to order cleaning for the bathroom as the first thing we arrived there. This would be perfect with small renovation (floors and bathroom were not in the best condition).
We loved our stay at this hotel. We felt welcomed and everything was nearby, the Viking line terminal and the city center with all the shopping and dining opportunities. Rooms were big and spacious and had everything we needed!
Totally satisfied. Very good location, nice staff, comfortable room. Very close to historical center. Continent for walking. Tram station located just few dozens meters from the entrance to the hotel.
Nice apartment to visit Helsinki this weekend. Great neighborhood, proximity to downtown, nearby tram stop. The room furniture ( chairs) are very old and require replacement or new clean covers. Dishes should be washed better, no dishwashing detergent. Overall decent
Located a short walk from the centre but feeling like being in a distant suburb this apartment was amazing. Firstly, it was huge, properly big. Clean, well presented, great touches (came with a sauna!) and properly Finnish. Highly recommended.
