the location was great when we stayed there were a lot of renovations going on which i think this place needs looks old and tired and i believe its all over the place the carpark is in a weird place and a long way from reception especially when you have a lot of luggage and then from there u have to take 2 lifts and walk numerous long hallways. i believe after the renovations this place will be better. the room we got i believe was different to what we booked online
We booked via booking.com and what we got room wise was so different from what we had booked. Room stated Mirowave, Superior Room, & Bathrobes. Reception wasnt really interested in our complaint, just said if we needed to use the mircowave use the one in the bar. We had twin beds that were so close together it was hard to walk between the beds..... beds were comfy .... bathroom... clean.... just disapointed we didnt get what we had booked. I suppose we could have made a bigger fuss.... just wont go back. not sure if I trust booking.com anymore either.
Our stay didn't start well when you drive past 2 times before you see the one sign to identify the place then another 3 times to find the driveway to the car park. Then the adventure starts walking through many corridors until you come to a lift. Even after you take the lift it is even more corridors past rooms trying to find the reception desk. To find it self navigate to where all the corridors appear to meet and either go down the stairs or another lift. All up 5 minutes from car park door to reception with little to no signs. The room wasn't much better with furniture that didn't fit the room and a odd smell.
Great hotel for the price central to the city. Rooms are comfortable. You can also earn air points by staying here. The staff are friendly and helpful; and it has free off street parking and free internet
Location is great for city center, and is in ideal location close to shops, cafes and bars. Has all you need for stay. We stayed in double with private bathroom. Clean, tidy, get what you pay for, no frills. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside is that place was under renovation and it was really hard getting from car park to reception.
Your staff member on reception was very rude and didn't seem to want to help at all. We are not from Hamilton and when arrived was told we needed to pay an extra $100 bond and that our second night was not booked anymore. Even though I had an email stating 2 nights had been booked. We arrived at 6pm which is still very early and there was no need to charge our card considering your website states 24/7 check in. Along with having to park in a bus stop because your car park was blocked and still expected to pay the $10 parking fee. There was no phone call or contact made just an attempt to take our money before we had even arrived. You left us with two young children in an unknown town with no accomadation, we are highly disappointed.
I hesitated to stay here after reading recent reviews, but I'm glad I didn't let disgruntled travellers put us off. My husband and I arrived in the early evening on a Saturday and the duty manager couldn't find our booking - because I'd booked for the Auckland hotel. She (Pari, maybe?) was very gracious and managed to change our booking. I had prepared Hubby for the notion we might be staying in a glorified backpacker's, but our room, though small, had high ceilings, was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The bathroom was clean and modern. The heat pump worked well, though some appliance (possibly the fridge) made a humming, breathing noise all night. The hotel is located in the centre of town near heaps of restaurants and bars, which is convenient, but it also means listening to drunken students and townies at all hours of the night. We were tired and slept, anyway, after an excellent meal at the steakhouse across the street. Parking was reasonable ($10) and breakfast was included in our deal. A short stroll across the street brought us to Metropolis, where we ate hearty cooked breakfasts in a funky little cafe. It's too bad others have had less-than-stellar stays, but I can't fault the staff or our room (303) at Sudima Hamilton. Our experience was very pleasant.
Cheap yes but you get what you pay for. Place is like a rabbit warren and lack of signage meant I felt trapped in a maze at times! Room was spacious but with no external windows was claustrophobic. Great location and good restaurants nearby. Just didn't feel clean and pillows were old and flat. Won't be coming back if I can help it.
Terrible from the word go. Had to knock to get into the hotel. The hotel is well overdue for a renovation. I liken it to a half way house. No care and attention to anything. Don't waste your money. Breakfast was down the road - this was also very average. We were the only people in the restaurant - that isn't a great sign.
Not the type to ever leave reviews like this but this hotel really set me off. The photos are NOTHING like the actual hotel rooms. We arrived, checked in and went into our old outdated disgusting room. It's 2017 so really don't understand how this hotel still hasn't been refurbished yet? Old brick through the walkway and in the room? Bathroom had been semi redone but the shower had flooded after 3mins of being in there!? Heat pump didn't work either had it sitting on 30 degrees since we checked in till the next morning and still wasn't warm. Also noticed the lights underneath the beds had graffiti underneath them! Absolutely foul! Almost feel like a refund is needed because this place was absolutely horrible!! It is well Worth paying the extra 50/60 dollars and staying in a quest or Novotel!
