This hotel was not as good as I expected - small room for two people and VERY dated decor. Walls are paper thin so you can hear every word from your neighbours. No tea/coffee making facilities and the bottle of water left on the side will set you back 4€ if drunk! Bathroom is decent - shower is powerful enough, although the water kept changing to scalding hot no matter how cold you tried to make it. Towel rail located directly above the toilet meant that towels fell in the toilet on at least two occasions! Breakfast is ok - not worth paying extra for if it’s not included in the price. Simple continental items and some congealed scrambled eggs. Breakfast staff are miserable and could do with cracking a smile once in a while. Location-wise, we were quite happy. Number 13 bus stops directly outside and will take you to Veddel train station, where you can be in the city centre within 10 minutes. Transport links in Hamburg are excellent in general. This hotel could do with an upgrade in decor and customer service, but is a cheap stay in Hamburg.
I've seen it's a good breakfast at the hotel- that's absolutely not true. Very limited choice, even no pastry. Cheap bread, three types of tasteless cheese, fatty scramble and a bit of yogurt. As for accommodation, my room was clean, but a bit old-fashioned. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for romantic trips or vocation, just for business. Boat Nr. 73 goes from the pier nearby (10 min on foot) to the city center every 20 min.
The hotel it's good, comfortable and have good rooms. The breakfast it's good and the staff too. The only problem it's the localization, because the hotel it's far from the downtown, but the public transportation from the city it's very good and easy.
Great 3 star hotel - room is spacious for 2 people Breakfast is really nice - continental style but not so good if you have symptoms of lactose intolerance not much to choose from . the bar in the hotel was close all day and night when we was there but bar close by . no tea making in room as well but can get one from a vending machine on ground floor at 1 Euro . Hotel is a little way from the city centre - but the M13 bus stop is right outside taking you to Veddel station -then only 2 stops until central station. the best way is get a family ticket or Hamburg card so travel is cheaper .
LOCATION: it's not in the center ( for the paid price is normal) and the area is not nice, but you can reach the hotel easily with the S bahn + bus 13 ( 15 mins to the train station) , ROOM: old , but clean, functional and warm WI FI: very good BREAKFAST: ok , maybe too limited STAFF : nice and friendly
The hotel was clean. The service was good, but the location was bad to say the least. You will be travelling with S13 bus and you will be travelling with A LOT of shady subjects. Just accept it besides its not that bad since the walk from the bus station is really short and its always crowded so not very dangerous imho
The hotel was quite a distance from Hamburg city though I expected a journey I did not think it was that far out so taxi at 25 euros was order of the day. The hotel reception was tucked away down a side road so not easy or obvious! I was booked in efficiently and staff member was polite and courteous! The room 137 was basic with a single bed and shower in the room as well as a sink and TV. The linen was clean and fresh even if the bed was squeaky every time you moved on it. There were no tea & coffee making facilities like advertised however there was a complimentary bottle of fizzy water that they subsequently charge you 4 euros for. The supposed free wifi did not work in room 137 The inclusive breakfast was ok if you like warm long life milk and stale cereal! The usual selection of meats and cheese was on offer with a selection of rolls and bread! I would say that the hotel was not value for money as it was basic and lacked the level of comfort I would expect for the money charged! The decor was tired and needs updating! I will not be returning to this venue again!
The hotel is very basic and quite small. Our twin room did not even have enough space to place and open the suitcase conveniently. On the up side, the room is clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is very reasonable and there ample parking space in the rear. On the down side, there is no air-conditioning or ventilation options (Hamburg was experiencing a 34 degrees weather during our stay), the walls are paper thin, and the neighborhood seems a bit unpleasant. Public transportation to the city center involves a but and an S-Bahn, or two busses and a U-Bahn over the weekend
We were staying in Wilhelmsburg to visit a friend, so just needed something functional and this fitted the bill. The location is convenient for transportation via a 45 minute bus and train trip to the city centre, though it's not exactly an area that always felt very safe. We stayed in an apartment room with a bed, sofa bed, kitchenette and ensuite, which was only fractionally more than the single rooms with no ensuite so seemed worth the extra. However, we were located directly opposite a bar/club round the other side of the building from the hotel via a different entrance, which was incredibly loud until the early hours of the morning. The breakfast much like the rest of the hotel provided the essentials, through a continental buffet, though the scrambled eggs with bacon bits in them were delicious. I wouldn't exactly recommend it because the hotel itself was anything special, but if you know what you're getting then it could be perfect for what you need.
A few minutes walk from the central train station and very easy to spot thanks to the sharp Green/Black colors of the building. The staff was very helpful and allowed me to book a room even if my credit cards were not working. My room was clean and comfortable. Fast wifi. The only const I could see is that the hotel is located a bit far from the st. Pauli district, which is the place for enjoy nightlife in Hamburg. Still you can reach it in less that one hour walk.
