Well furnished, very quiet room with great view. Plus good quality of tea, water ad good room service. The parkin was on site, next to hotel. Neibourhood quiet, good connection to city available through bus and metro (station is just 10 minutes walking distance).

Clean, cozy, great for a business trip. Lovely view on a hippodrome and pond. Amazing breakfast - lots to choose from, fresh fruit, bread, selection of fine teas. Hepful staff. A bit far from the city center.

- perfect for business stay - very good breakfast - quite rooms towards the horse race track - nice and clean rooms - friendly front desk staff - good connection to public transportation - app. 20 minutes to the airport via taxi

Great hotel, great staff, perfect location. Ideally located about 3 minute walk to the train station aswell as a Lidl for all your supplies. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Taxi to and from airport is about 25 euros Great place to stay for a visit, quiet enough to get sleep but very easy to get to the reaperbahn for a few drinks

Stayed a couple of time at NH Hamburg Rennbahn, an excellent hotel but a little too far away from the city centre. The accommodation is spotless, a first class breakfast, no complaints whatsoever about the all-round nice break...oh and the S Bahn/Underground Train Station is within walking distance, 5 minutes or so from the hotel.

We were there 4 nights. The hotel has very good connection with the center and it is very easy to go around Hamburg. Very pleasant staff! We kept them awake for far too long but they were always kind and helpful! Nice rooms , good breakfast and restaurant. I would like to stay there again in a future

Hotel is five minutes walk from U -bahn, so getting into town is very easy. Breakfast is fabulous. Rooms, especially on the racecourse side, are spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The heating in the room needs care - like everywhere in Hamburg it's turned up very high, but it is possible to regulate it. Staff are friendly and helpful. I very much hope to stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I was impressed with room being well equipped with tea selecions and a coffee machine. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was very clean. Hairdryer was of a poor quality (despite description on their website that room is equipped with a professional hair dryer, slippers and bathrobe ), there was no slippers or bathrobe. Disappointing to learn that hotel charges their clients 5 euros for the use of sauna (unlike other hotels!). Good choice of food at breakfast. Very dissapointing however was rudeness of the restaurant staff and their lack of professionalism. One breakfast I was sitting at the table with three other people. I noticed a waitress would give out a pot of coffee to few tables and not care about other tables. She never asked if our table wanted coffee. I understand that if as a rule they give out coffee pots at breakfasts then they should ask each table. It was 5 minutes before the end of breakfast (9.55am) when I saw a coffee being given to another table but not to mine. I didn't want to annoy the waitress and ask if I can also get a coffee (as they always seemed very rude and never smiled or said; 'you are welcome' if I or my friends thanked for anything!) so I decided to finish my hot breakfast first and then go and get a coffee myself from the machine situated at the entrance to the restaurant. I stood at a queue, a person before me got himself a coffee and as it was my turn, the coffee machine got switched off. I asked the waitress at the bar what happened to the coffee machine and she said that the breakfast finished 5 minutes ago. I explained that I had been here for 20 minutes already and saw waitress giving away coffee pots but not to my table therefore I need a coffee. If the wairess had done her job properly I wouldn't have to be here and ask for one now. So can I have a coffee please, I said. She answered: As I told you, breakfast finished 5 minutes ago! Of course I wasn't given any coffee! I find such customer service disgraceful (especially for a 4 star hotel!). In the UK hostels offer much better customer service. I wasn't given a coffee because one of the waitresses didn't do her job properly and nobody would even apologise for that!. Each day there was some incident of rude staff which my colleagues that I stayed with noticed. On one occassion we were asked to leave the restaurant as we were still eating, because it was after 10am and the waitress said to people at my table and other tables that they need the room. It's very rude to ask people this whilst they finish their breakfast! In every hotel that I stayed in the past (and I stayed in many around the world, I also worked in this industry in the past!) serving times doesn't mean the time of leaving the restaurant. If breakfast is served by 10am it means the food should be available until this time and of course after this time people still eat. In fact on my last day at 9.50 there was only half of the choice of food available as other items that finished have not been replaced. This is not right for a 4 star hotel! Biggest problem was with the restaurant staff being extremely unfriendly. Hopefully someone (hotel manager?) will raise this problem and train the staff to be a bit more polite, friendly and helpful.

Everything was fine for a four star hotel except of that you have to pay addionally 5,- to use the Sauna. If your room is situated to the street then it is too lound to sleep with open window. The former horse track is a green area where you have a wide view, can do sports or walk with the dog. Breakfast was excellent as they also have allergy food like lactose or gluten free - very good selection of teas! We were there for a sightseeing trip and therefore were mostly in the city center which is a bit too far to stay for long evenings or nights as there are poor connections by the public transport in the night time.

This Hotel has excellent facility's and has great links to the city. The staff are extremely helpful and the restaurant on site is very good. Subway links and buses are only a short walk away but if you prefer the reception staff will call you a taxi which will arrive within minutes.
