The Gunbower Butter Factory was a functioning Butter Factory built in 1928, restored to its former glory in some parts (the accommodation) and preserved in others to capture the ageing beauty of the stunning old building.

The Gunbower Butter Factory is located on the banks of the Gunbower Creek with many native animals in the area; pelicans, platypus, ducks and turtles to name a few with the ever elusive Murray Cod enjoying the cool waters. Gunbower & the Gunbower national park area is the biggest inland waterways system in the Southern hemisphere and is affectionately referred to as the Kakadu of the south.

There are many ways to enjoy the surroundings; canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, swimming or kayaking or just with a good book whilst relaxing on the banks of the creek or by the open fire featured on the property.
