WiFi didn’t work in our room but we didn’t mind. Everyone was super helpful and the entire place was quiet and wonderful. Close walk to the pier, shops and restaurants. We only could stay one night but we would’ve stayed longer if we could! We told the front desk it was my husbands birthday and when we came back to our room from dinner there was a cake waiting for us!!
We have been there in October 2017 and stayed there for 3 weeks. There was no reason for us to travel trough different ones The Hotel is very nice and based on a clean Beach in Mae Nam. The whole Hotel is clean. The staff is very awesome and is doing everything for your joy. We had the tropical ville 217. Very near to the pool and very silent. Lek is a very awesome guy, he puts a smile in your face no matter how your day was or the weather is like. The rooms are big and very comfortable. Every Night comes the lady that cleans the rooms from bugs and moskitos. The infinitypool is just awesome, you can stay the whole day there and enjoy the cocktails from the bar or a good snack. Lilly the manager is there all day, and she also gives everything for a pleasent stay. She also has an open ear for everything. (even if your name might be Wolfgang) Hey Lilly) :) The breakfast is also good. You wont miss anything. Its not that big so you can try anything you need. Typical Thai dishes und international things. In the Hotel Area are very nice dogs and cats. They made our stay very special and nice too. They only thing, that was a little bit sad was the wifi connection some times. In the first week it was not really working. But the staff got that under control. So if we would come back to Thailand this would be our hotel again.
We stayed at Saree Samui hotel for 12 days and really enjoyed. Hotel staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. Our tropical villa with private garden was fabulous. But room interior in our opinion was not five star class. And the major issue was internet connection. Apart from this we can recommend to stay in Saree for those who are looking for nice, quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
Stayed with my girlfriend last week in a pool villa and found the resort to be amazing. The staff make this place what it is and the manager should be very proud of her team !! The beach was very nice one of the best on the island that we found. The outside bathroom did take a day or two to get used to but after that it's great fun. There is a local village 2 mins walk.from the resort and found the local people very friendly and helpful. It's also only a 15 minute drive to fisherman's village great market on Fridays . We did use the airport pick up service and found the service was good
We stayed here recently for 5 nights in a villa with an outside pool. We absolutely loved it. Located directly on the beach. Staff was nice, especially a gentleman in the evening in the restaurant which I unfortunately forgot the name. Be prepared that this is a resort full of nature which means after one day you are fully relaxed, however the amount of mosquito bites are not funny... But please don't be put off as this is the same everywhere in Thailand. There is also a nice small local village a few minutes walk, everyone is super friendly and helpful with any suggestions you might need. We would certainly come again!
We have travelled to Thailand a number of times over the last 4 years and a consistent theme emerges of older resorts not keeping up with the standards of new resorts. Without ongoing upgrades what was once 4 star moves down the ranks based on the standards set by new resorts. Saree Samui is one of the older resorts that when new would have been 4 star but is no longer in that category. Pros: - great location on Maenam beach - Meanam beach is very clean & great for swimming - away from the crowds - pool villas have good sized private pools. - close to O.K. Village which provides variety of dining options, shops & massages. Cons: - all resorts on Maenam beach are in a great location. - Back to nature theme is not very evident. & not practical - outdoor bathroom & toilet leads to mosquito bites and means leaving the air conditioned area. - Very small air conditioned area, bedroom only. Part of the back to nature theme. - No longer in luxury category - Outdoor baths in pool villas are impractical. - Ocean view villas are not on the beach front and most look through either the restaurant or across the pool deck. The location and view across to Koh Pha Ngan is very relaxing & beautiful. We dined frequently in O.K. Village. Unfortunately for us Saree Samui did not live up to its "luxury samui resort" tag and we left disappointed.
Overall we had a great stay in Saree Samui. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Every night they free the room from all mosquitos. The tropical villas have a nice garden, open bathroom and living room. We enjoyed the silence at the beach. The ferry pier nearby did not bother us at all, since only a few ferries stop there per day and the beach is clean.
@MaeNam. Quiet and wild, the coolest spot. Nature-oriented resort, very fancy. Villa with open bathroom and living room, quality furniture. Regarding amenities, pool, lobby, beach and restaurant are really simply beautiful. A fresh coconut or a cocktail almost alone in this idyllic setting...priceless! You could rent a motorbike next to the hotel and pralan pier (pha ngan, tao, ang thong) is right by the private beach. Best experience!
Beautiful rooms. I really enjoyed my stay, Saree Samui is tucked away in a quiet beach side location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. Only negative is the lack of Food and Beverage service around the pool. Could also do with some music in the pool area.
Very nice place with highly serviceminded staff. Large rooms to a reasonable price. Close to the pier where the ferries can take you on excursions to islands close by. Tasty lunches. During our stay it was calm and peaceful also.
