We had booked 2 x Honey deluxe rooms for 4 nights as a family of 4, we left after 2 nights, we had wanted to leave after one night. We paid approximately Aud$140 per night per room, what we got was; an old air conditioner in each room that sounded like an airplane was taking off that spat water over the beds, cracked and broken cups in the room, blocked drain in bathroom, room not cleaned, Internet that didn't work except at 3am in the morning when couldn't sleep due to air conditioner, bad breakfast that we believe made my daughter ill, no umbrellas on the beach, everyone trying to use the shade of tree with only enough room for 6 under it, beach area not cleaned, staff that do not care and soooo sorry. We didn't ask for a refund on leaving early, we just wanted to leave, which is the first time in our travels we have ever departed our accommodation early. Our previous accommodation was a third of the price and a million times better. This place could be good, if they cared and had some pride.
If you are spending the day at the Choeng Mon beach, you can absolutely have a lovely lunch by the beach. We had seafood, fried fish and squid, fried rice and praws, all very good. The service is also great, and you can lay in the beach beds...
Really enjoyed the location of this hotel, only a few meters from the beach and they arranged a pick up for us from the ferry. We booked through a special offer and therefore did not get to stay in the newer looking villas around the pool. Ours was tucked away in the corner and must have been one of the originals. It was basic and has a few cracks etc. However it was clean and for the few days we were there it was all we needed. The team there were lovely and really helpful, even though we were accidentally dropped off at the wrong pier one our trip back to the mainland. Other than that they were more than happy to arrange pickups and they had a laundry service that was quick and efficient
Stayed for 4 days and location was excellent for meeting with family staying nearby at the Imperial Boathouse and being right on beach.Beach is quieter than Chaweng which I liked. The staff were lovely but was hard trying to comunicate but I got by. Breakfast was good..I like eggs and so they always cooked mine just right. Loved where my cottage was (24) but I think it was the oldest in complex and only one not painted. However I only used it to sleep and shower and not hang out. They bought clean towels and water everyday. Loved having the massage ladies so close. Not alot of hawkers on the beach. Just be polite and they will leave you alone. It is a bit rocky in front of cottages so walk down in front of Imperial to swim. I walked entire beach and found it gets dirtier where there are no resorts. Was there for a wedding at Melati which in quieter part so Im glad I stayed where I was. Taxis can be quite expensive so if you are staying for a week look into hiring a car as may be cheaper. If not use the saoteung the red pick ups with seats at back of bargin hard with taxi driver. I hired a scooter and loved ghe freedom it gave me. Just be careful and use a helmet. All in all had a good time in Samui.
WiFi rubbish. Dirty when I got there until I told them to clean it after seeing dead insect in the room. Comfortable bed though. Choice of breakfast for everyone taste. Pool was quite small offering massage on the beach.
Ask for Bungalow 24 right on the beach...Stunning Amazing staff couldnt do enough for us, organised a taxi around the Island to all the sights( fantastic day) Friendly massages on the beach and always a warm welcome.
Skip from Busy day, relaxing place .. Room : with the Price I Paid, is really nice & reasonable room. You will get clean Towel everyday ... But for you bathroom thing (shampoo, soap..etc.. ) better buy by your self. (small shop is close by) My room for me is Big for us. Food : for truth in they restaurant I dun try eating there. coz price lil bit high than next door restaurant. Swimming Pool : is small but reallly nice, U can sit there and relaxing enjoy your HOT Sunny day. STAFF : They really Nice and always wanna Help you. Even they lil bit understand English so you can slowly tell them wht you want. I will stay here again when am back to Koh Samui for Sure !!!!!
We stayed 5 nights in a deluxe bungalow. The main room was a little small, curtains needed a good clean, but the double bed was comfortable. An old crt TV displayed some European channels and a few Thai channels, but not much in English. Pretty much in need of renovation. Quite a good location on the beach and 6-7 minute walk to the main road with convenience stores and restaurants. Prices for food and drinks at the hotel were high by usual Thai standards and mediocre. But this seemed on a parr with other hotels in the area. Try to book early to receive the best price and have breakfast included. Staff were friendly. Overall, relaxing but not deluxe.
Great location with very friendly staff and owner. Deluxe cottage was great, basic and clean but of a good size with clean bedding and towels provided every day. Breakfast was adequate and cooked to order at the restaurant overlooking the beach. Pool was nice but rather small with plenty of sun beds provided on the beach and free use of kayaks. 5 minute walk to the main street where you will find restaurants severing excellent food at reasonable prices. The resort and neighbouring hotels also provide excellent food if you want to dine by the beach and one has a small supermarket which is handy for those essential things. The only negative point is that it may be dangerous for small children or physically impaired persons due to gaps between stepping slabs in access paths above the fish ponds. Would definitely use this resort again.
Nice and relaxing place where our family has stayed twice. The pool is a little small but clean. Staff friendly. We stayed in a room which had room for us all 4, good and basic. The bungalows look lovely. Good breakfast that is cooked when you order, not buffé. Good food in the restaurants, altough a little bit overpiced compared, but nice and fresh. ChoengMon beach beautiful, but a lot of rubbish, Samuis authorities ought to do something about the rubbish issue. The owner of Honey does his job though, he had a car and cleaners down at the beach after a windy night. Choeng Mon is a good place for families, its not a partyplace, the street above the beach has just enough restaurants and shops to keep you happy!
