We stayed here for 10 nights after a very hectic 3 days in Bangkok, all the staff are a credit to John the manager who is about every morning chatting with the guests. We stayed in a beach front villa which was lovely, clean and had the biggest shower. The food served in the open bar is lovely and a very large choice. We also did the Thai cooking class which was very good, thanks to the patience of the chiefs. This place is a very short taxi ride to fisherman wharf where there is always something on and lots of very reasonably priced food, markets are as good as the big ones in Bangkok and there are lots of famous copies to buy. Thank you John and sorry for the late post.
We arrived at Saboey in the resorts car that kindly collected us from the airport amid the lunchtime hustle & bustle of cars, scooters cement lorries but as we came into the reception area checked in effortlessly we walked through tranquil gardens to the bar & affinity pool. We knew we had found peace & tranquility! We found all the staff extremely helpful & friendly the food was great & we enjoyed drinking the cocktails looking out to sea Our room was clean & we had fresh towels everyday We spent time relaxing in the pool but also visited many places on the island We miss Saboey very much so we will be back for more
We were very pleased with the size of the room we stayed in. The staff were very attentive. The pool is the highlight of the resort, it has great views directly onto the beach, which is a very quiet stretch of beach. The breakfasts were absolutely great, the best of all breakfasts we had in resorts in Thailand. They offer Thai food for breakfast, as well as American or European style breakfasts.
We had 3 great nights here. The hotel is set on a busy road and we were slightly disappointed by this when we arrived. We need not have worried though as 15 paces later we were in Reception and it was a different world of calm and serenity. The rooms run down to the beach and although there are other parts of Samui we prefer, if we came back we'd definitely stay in the same hotel. The reason for this is we found it extremely accommodating and comfortable and we enjoyed our three nights very much indeed. Getting there – it isn't the easiest to find so it may be worth arranging for the hotel to pick you up from the airport. We arrived by separate taxi and although the driver was reasonably local he didn't know where the hotel was. It is worthwhile noting that the mobile TripAdvisor app has a feature where you can show them the address in the local language which is very useful. Location – very good indeed. The hotel is just off the main road but close to the beach - it isn't the best as it is dirty in parts but it is still very nice. The views from the hotel grounds are like something from paradise. There are both restaurants both left and right at the front of the hotel. We found the best ones to be about a 10 minute walk down the left hand side. There is a 7/11 immediately opposite. Rooms – we didn't go for a villa but the superior deluxe was excellent. It had the best air conditioning we had during our time in Thailand which is much appreciated. The bed was big and quite comfortable and all the things you'd expect in place - safe, hot drinks facilities, robes, torch, umbrella, hairdryer and so on. Bathroom had a good shower. It was slightly quirky that the sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom. I would much rather pay the extra to have this type of room in the main block as our terrace was fantastic. Big chairs and a table and a fantastic views over the sea. Pool – not very big but absolutely lovely. There are plenty of sunbeds with parasols we never had any problem getting two beds together. There are steps down onto the beach should you wish to use that instead. Food – we only had breakfast there and it was basic but good. You can order from a quite extensive menu we just used to have fruit and yoghurt. Wi-Fi – again, some of the best we've got in Thailand. I was shocked to get 93 Mb down near the beach! There are many routers around the resort so you will never struggle for signal and I was able to stream live sports. Noise – a mixed bag. True, it is on the flight path. However, you soon get used to flights taking off and to watch it's fascinating. We close to the road but as soon patio doors were closed we didn't hear a thing. We slept very well on all three nights. Staff - very helpful when requested and unobtrusive a lot of the time. We were very specific in our room request a at the hotel and they had gone out of their way to accommodate us which we really appreciated.
An amazing resort and the perfect place to stay. Staff are so happy and helpful. Suites are beautifully presented, clean and spacious with wonderful views. The White Bar is the place to be at sunset with cocktails by the pool and a delicious restaurant menu. We will be back!
Stayed here for 2 nights in August with family. I liked the fact the room was spacious, had a beautiful view of the sea. Beach is literally on your doorstep. Jazz was amazing, booked us tours, always on hand to answer any questions. Thank you Jazz! Infinity pool was wonderful. Location is good, there are plenty of shops around and some fantastic massage palours. Breakfast was good, you have to choose from the menu...continental is available. I would recommend!
An excellent resort and the villa we stayed in capped our stay. Food was outstanding. The pool clean and maintained so. The bar was delightful with Joy mixing awesome cocktails and mocktails. The staff are very friendly, endearing and ensure that guests are not left lacking anything. Sitting out in the garden or idling in the Infinity pool, the views/sunsets were a sight to behold. The beach, unfortunately, was no great shakes as also the water ( slimy ). But, the Infinity pool more than made up for the same. A must for a quiet, comfortable, easy and relaxed stay. .
Perfect place to stay for a holiday in Koh Samui! everybody kind, rooms are very clean and spacious, relaxing place among palms, wonderful swimmingpool, and a spectacular view on the sea. the hotel position is perfect, 6 km far from the traffic and the nightlife of Chaweng, very near to be reached; we got a scooter and discovered the island at a low price. I would only suggest an help/ a conventon between the hotel and some taxis to bring and catch the hotel guests from and to the airport. Wonderful koh samui & saboey hotel, one of the best in bangrak! The staff made our stay here. They were always happy to help us. The infinity pool was spectacular and the bar/restaurant attractive. Unfortunately the resort is directly under the flight path from Koh Samui's airport and at times planes are arriving or leaving every few minutes.
Enjoyed two nights staying in the ocean view villa. Very comfortable and spacious. The resort is fairly small as is the pool but the views of the beach and sea are lovely. The sea isn't the cleanest I have ever swam in and the beach gets littered with rubbish from the sea during the night but in saying that the hotel staff do a great job first thing in the morning clearing everything up. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully set out and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had two lunches in the restaurant and the food was excellent, as were the happy hour cocktails. Breakfast was average. Worth a trip to the Fishermans Village - short ride away by taxi and a nice place to spend the evening. Enjoyed two excellent massages from the two charming ladies on the beach - as previous views have said they are very popular and get booked up quickly.
