small and nice boutique hotel. we were upgraded to the biggest room of the hotel: the junior suite (most probably because I am an accord member). the view from the room was amazing. the service is amazing: the staff remembered our names and likings and greeted us every time they saw it. food was yummy. staff was the most helpful I have seen in Thailand. great pool. beach bar and chaweng beach are on the other side of the street - a 2 mins walk away. hotel is right on the busy street of chaweng where there is quite a bit of action. we had a great time there and will surely stay there again.
The building has a romantic layout, with wood work and red ochre stones, patio, fish pond, fountains and garden around the swimming pool. The staff is fantastic, they are always ready to help. Good room service too. Fantastic location in the South of Chaweng, with all commodities at walking distance and easy taxi ride to city center. Own beach area with small restaurant.
We stayed in a Suite for only 1 short night. Location is slightly south of Chaweng, not a problem if you have transport. Room and pool are very clean, lighting is really kind of dark but work well. Private beach lounge about 5mins walk across the street. Suite room is big and nice layout, however it is at the corner and directly facing the T-junction, road noise is clearly heard but not a big problem for me. check in and check out very efficient. Only complaint is the car park located at the far back of the hotel and have to carry the luggage walking along the street to reach the hotel entrance. Definitely not what I expected from Mercure brand.
We stayed 6 nights and loved it. On the main street in Chaweng Beach, has own beach club, for lovely avo drinks. Clean, tidy with lovely towel displays every day. Has a great pool (and swim up pool bar) , for a lovely cool off after a hot day. Had buffet breakfast each morning and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Would definately recommend it to all.
The hotel is dark including the rooms, they are very clean with excellent towel displays every day on your bed, but you can't see with all the low level lighting. We were disappointed with the service at the beach with the staff not clearing the beach area of plates glasses and rubbish until either we did it (and paid the service charge for the privilege) or they did it at the end of the day. Non residents came in off the beach taking up space on the beds and nothing was done to stop them, even when residents had no where to sit. We were told the beach area was being redeveloped in October which would be a shame as the beach space is lovely and would have been nice if it was open in an evening.
This lovely hotel is located in a quite area in Chaweng. It has a lovely pool(with a great pool bar) and has its own private walkway to the beach directly opposite the Hotel. The path leads you down to a beach bar with sun loungers and seating and of course the fabulous beach. The Hotel is top notch and the staff are so nice and very helpful. It has its own tour desk so you can book trips/tours in the lobby which was a great advantage. I will be recommending this hotel to all my friends that are heading to Samui in the coming years as it was perfect.
I stayed here for four nights whit my wife and we loved the hotel. Friendly and professional staff the room was cosy and everything worked fine. We loved the swimming pool so relaxing and clean. There is also a nice private beach whith sun beds and bar just across the street. We didn't have breakfast included but paid for the buffet only 250 bath each and that's A bargain I think. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely came back to this lovely hotel.
Mercure Samui Chaweng Tana Hotel is an average hotel with good location. They have nice staff and good service. Noisy in room due to music nearby. The air condition not cool enough. The Breakfast is ok.
Excellent hotel, excellent staff (Mr. M and Mrs. Joey)! We stayed here for 9 nights (24th August - 2nd September 2017) and had a wonderful time! Hotel has its own beach territory with the bar, sun loungers and sofas. Good quality of restaurant food.
This was our second stay with Mercure and I'm glad we chose to come back .Mercure is such a hidden gem in Samui. A lot of things has changed since we last stayed here in 2014.They now have bar with exclusive seating on Chaweng beach for hotel residents that serve amazing cocktails and hot food. The staff were all amazing, reception, housekeeping and restaurant /bar staff especially the guys serving us cocktails down at Cape Diem(name of the beach bar). The hotel is only 3 minutes away from the beach and don't let the reviews about Hotel not being on the beach put you off staying here. The hotel location is perfect. Please don't skip breakfast its the best you will have on the island.
