Just returned from 6 nights at this resort with my wife & 2 children (11 & 12). Very small booking problem which may have been by the agency in that we thought we'd booked an adjoining room so the children were able to get to us in the night if they woke up, however we ended up in a double & a twin room which were separated by 1 other room. Lawana offered us an adjoining room when we arrived & explained but in the end we opted for the double & twin & it worked out really well. The kids felt safe & secure & my wife & I were happy that they were within close distance should they wake up in the night. The rooms were lovely - clean & nicely decorated & the beds were comfortable. The pool was good with a lovely view from the sun loungers. The ladies doing the massages on the terrace were very friendly & so were the hotel staff. My family & I had a lovely time here & the booking issue did not have any affect on the holiday. We didn't eat in the restaurant at Lawana other than for breakfast (which was lovely) & the reason for this was that firstly we thought the menu seemed a little expensive & secondly we found restaurants in slightly nicer settings. Other guests that we spoke to did say that the food at Lawana was excellent though which I am sure was the case.

Not one of the most luxurious hotels on the beach but nevertheless in a great position beach front, just a short walk along the beach from restaurants, Fishermans Village etc. Our positive experience of the hotel was definitely improved by the fact that we had nice spacious rooms in the nicest part of the grounds nearest to the beach, pool and restaurant and the kids rooms were really well set out with 2 good sized double rooms connected by an open air plunge pool and shower which gave them their own "kids zone" and added to their enjoyment of the hotel. If we had stayed in the smaller rooms towards the road I would have been disappointed as that part of the grounds felt a bit shabby. Overall however the style of the rooms was individual and attractive - a refreshing difference from the standard resort style accommodation. The service was good and the restaurant beautifully situated on the beachfront, next to the pool, with lovely views. However the restaurant was not generally busy in the evening, probably because the food was not up to the standard of some of the surrounding restaurants. For casual eating we loved the Cactus Bungalow next door. - great atmosphere and beach hut vibe with really good food. Bandana hotel restaurant also good. Massages by the beach with spectacular views of the sea were well worth doing. Overall good value for money in a lovely place but select your room carefully!

We stayed here for two weeks with our teenage grand daughters in a 2 bed premier garden villa. Rooms are in dire need of update especially bathrooms which were not cleaned at all during our stay and in one of the showers the water would not drain away as was blocked with hair. Beds were not changed during our stay either. Such a shame as the rest of the hotel, pool area, staff etc were really great.

We had a lovely relaxing time at Lawana Resort. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great morning omelettes! The beds were a little on the hard side, but the rooms were neat and tidy and clean. Great location- just near a mini mart and laundry place. Our only complaint was all the German tourists staying would get up ridiculously early and nab the sun loungers- and then disappear!! Felt it was a little rude.

Just stayed at Lawana for 4 nights, the resort is rateted at 3 Stars which is right about the money. The staff are great & friendly location is in the middle of the beach area. Great restaurants close by as well as the mobile cocktail man out the front. The rooms are spacious with all the facilities you would want. We just chilled out on the beach & around the pool. All round comfortable would be a good rating.

We stayed here for 7 nights and had a 2bedroom bungalow with 2childeren (5&7 year) and it's perfekt, not expensive and very well worth the money! A nice and clean resort with garden among the bungalow that makes a very cosy atmosphere! There are also many beautyful butterflies in the garden. 🦋The housekeeping is good, AC is effektive, clean room. Good food at restaurant (in-room dining is possible) and the breakfast is the best I've ever had in Thailand. There is everything: Dark bred, croissant, egg/omelette made a la minute, yoghurt, fresh fruit, sausages/ham/bacon and very good coffee! (I use to bring my own coffee but din't need it here!) Pool is quiet and you've got a nice view over the beach and also to Koh Phangan. The Beach is not that very easy to walk though because of the loose sand. You'll sink down with your feet, so children may think it's hard to walk for longer distance. You reach Fishermans Village in 15 min walk along the Beach or the (unfortunately) very busy road.

Very friendly family resort. Despite the monsoon rain we had every day our stay was very pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant where the kitchen was one of the bests we experienced in Samui. Highly recommended.

Very nice resort with good staff and a nice manager ,we stayed in the villa right next to the pool and it was good not to noisy and very calm at night the food is good and fresh there s massage on the beach and a nice little swimming pool the rooms are nice and well cleaned .

Stayed at the Lawana Resort for eight nights, lovely setting with its own beach, great pool and very friendly hard working staff. Our bungalow was nice and we had our own plunge pool which we used to cool down and relax in our own secluded patio area. The maids cleaned our accommodation every day, changed the bedding and also gave us fresh bath and beach towels. The rooms also have air conditioning

This was my favorite place to stay during my 3 week trip in Thailand! The bungalows are so cute and we had plenty of room. The beach is amazing, the pool was so refreshing, and the complimentary breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I will be back here the next time I stay on the island!
