We had a lovely relaxing time at Lawana Resort. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great morning omelettes! The beds were a little on the hard side, but the rooms were neat and tidy and clean. Great location- just near a mini mart and laundry place. Our only complaint was all the German tourists staying would get up ridiculously early and nab the sun loungers- and then disappear!! Felt it was a little rude.
Just stayed at Lawana for 4 nights, the resort is rateted at 3 Stars which is right about the money. The staff are great & friendly location is in the middle of the beach area. Great restaurants close by as well as the mobile cocktail man out the front. The rooms are spacious with all the facilities you would want. We just chilled out on the beach & around the pool. All round comfortable would be a good rating.
We stayed here for 7 nights and had a 2bedroom bungalow with 2childeren (5&7 year) and it's perfekt, not expensive and very well worth the money! A nice and clean resort with garden among the bungalow that makes a very cosy atmosphere! There are also many beautyful butterflies in the garden. 🦋The housekeeping is good, AC is effektive, clean room. Good food at restaurant (in-room dining is possible) and the breakfast is the best I've ever had in Thailand. There is everything: Dark bred, croissant, egg/omelette made a la minute, yoghurt, fresh fruit, sausages/ham/bacon and very good coffee! (I use to bring my own coffee but din't need it here!) Pool is quiet and you've got a nice view over the beach and also to Koh Phangan. The Beach is not that very easy to walk though because of the loose sand. You'll sink down with your feet, so children may think it's hard to walk for longer distance. You reach Fishermans Village in 15 min walk along the Beach or the (unfortunately) very busy road.
Very friendly family resort. Despite the monsoon rain we had every day our stay was very pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant where the kitchen was one of the bests we experienced in Samui. Highly recommended.
Very nice resort with good staff and a nice manager ,we stayed in the villa right next to the pool and it was good not to noisy and very calm at night the food is good and fresh there s massage on the beach and a nice little swimming pool the rooms are nice and well cleaned .
Stayed at the Lawana Resort for eight nights, lovely setting with its own beach, great pool and very friendly hard working staff. Our bungalow was nice and we had our own plunge pool which we used to cool down and relax in our own secluded patio area. The maids cleaned our accommodation every day, changed the bedding and also gave us fresh bath and beach towels. The rooms also have air conditioning
This was my favorite place to stay during my 3 week trip in Thailand! The bungalows are so cute and we had plenty of room. The beach is amazing, the pool was so refreshing, and the complimentary breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I will be back here the next time I stay on the island!
We stayed here at the beginning of July for the relaxing part of our Thai adventure. And relax we did! The pool was large and very clean but we tended to use the beach and watch the world go by whilst lounging on the provided sunbeds. Can thoroughly recommend the snacks bought from the "lunch boat" - corn on the cob, chicken, mango etc all reasonably priced. Our rooms were a couple of spacious bungalows, one for the parents the other for the teens, separated by a private terrace with small pool. Rooms were comfortably (and quirkily) furnished with a distinct non-corporate feel to them - a definite plus for us. Well equipped with extras such as umbrellas, robes and tea/coffee facilities. Basic toiletries also provided. The rooms are situated in beautifully tended gardens and close to the paths so it was necessary to keep blinds down when in the room. Excellent Wi-Fi coverage throughout the resort and even on the beach. Teens were happy! Can recommend the massages available poolside or on the beach. Within walking distance (along beach) of the lively Fishermans Beach, however there are numerous restaurants in the immediate vicinity which are considerably cheaper. We didn't use the restaurant at the resort, we may have done if it was possible to charge drinks/meals to the room. Have knocked off a star because of this. We tended to have breakfast at one of the beach bars such as Cactus or Calm Beach. If in Koh Samui again we would definitely consider staying here. Thank you to the helpful staff for an enjoyable stay.
This is a lovely resort. Staff are friendly and helpful. Resort is great for families and is right in a nice lively stretch of Chaweng beach. The rooms are basic, self contained little houses set in a lovely garden which is charming and quiet. Nice pool that overlooks the beach. The restaurant was ok - basic but reasonably priced and a bit rough around the she's but perfect for a chill out beach holiday. This is a small boutique hotel / resort that is low key and a bit different to a larger branded hotel chain. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
The team at Lawana went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and memorable. I loved the free private Thai cooking class, the sparking warm pool, great breakfast every morning. Our 2 bedroom villa with private pool had everything one would need for a relaxing holiday. If the bed is too hard, they will add mattress toppers, just ask. If you need new beach towels three times a day, no worries. Yes, this is a family resort in a quiet end of the fishing village that is in need of a little maintenance, but for the price, abilitie, service and location...it's wonderful. While here, we also booked a snorkeling trip to Koh Tao and a Jungle elephant safari. Both were a lot of fun, included Thai buffet lunch and were very reasonable in price. We stayed in two interconnecting one bedroom villas with a private pool in the middle. Great for a family of 4. Kids had their own villa with ensuite and we had our own space. The pool was clean and had a nice waterfall feature. Air conditioners are new and worked well. We loved our stay here and would be glad to recommend Lawana resort to other Aussie families.
