Very beautiful resort that we've stayed in a number of times. The golf course, restaurant and swimming pool is very nice. In the past we dealt with the owner, Chi Chi Rodriguez himself who was always very considerate and courteous. On this trip we learned of the two brothers that are now the managers. Upon arrival to our villa, we found a dirty kitchen sink, dirty sink rack, dirty coffee pot, dirty shower, a tiny twin bed with bedsheets that had pilled, no toilet tissue holder, and no screens on the windows. When I contacted Carlos Matos, he was rude and dismissive of my concerns although he did admit his cleaning person needed to be spoken to. Unlike Carlos, his brother Edgardo promptly moved us to another villa in much better conditions and with a king-sized bed at that. Although I still purchased cleaning products to scrub the shower, the fact that he, at least, tried to accommodate and address the customer's concerns was what I was looking for. Also, despite what some advertisements show, there is no WiFi in all the villas.

Best golf course in the south part of the island. Originaly set by Chichi Rodriguez, hall of famer from Puerto Rico. Beautiful golf course and nice view in top of very good service and food. Easy acces from any place in the island. Just an hour from San Juan.

El Legado Golf club is a course with fast and windy greens in the dry side of the Puerto Rico island. A very accesible side, close to the main highway. This is place with residential housing and a club restaurant is worth visiting. The club restaurant, Guamani, has a diverse puertorrican cuisine menu and a variety of exquisite wine among the traditional bar drinks. Plenty of parking, accesible via helicopter as well. Fair prices, clean and well taken care facilities. Ask for the manager, Edgardo Matos, for brief history of the place and the club future developments. Come and enjoy a fairly challenging course with an amazing staff in friendly environment.

This restaurant not only has good food, but also a peaceful and beautiful environment. It is located in the middle of the golf camp. The food is really good and the prices are affordable. I tried the steaks with "mofongo"... delicious!

The golf course itself is beautifully maintained with panoramic views of the mountainside and ocean. Staff members are friendly and willing to tend to golfers of all experience levels. Make sure to try the food at the club restaurant where they have a fantastic selection of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. I highly recommend the ceviche and skirt steak dishes. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I would recommend anyone to visit El Legado whether you are accompanied by family or golfing buddies.

This was our third round of golf while visiting Puerto Rico and was absolutely the best value. Although the price was a bit higher than quoted over the phone, the $55 price was well worth it. The golf course, although pretty dry, (normal for southern Puerto Rico) was in good shape with nice greens and a challenging finishing par 5. The staff, beginning with Edgardo, the golf course administrator, was very helpful. Upon learning that my Puerto Rican wife was disappointed that pigs feet were only served on weekends, he made an accommodation with Chef Gilbert to make them just for her while we enjoyed our round of golf and she loved them! The clubhouse and restaurant were modern and very clean. Our waitress, Aurora, was very attentive, We will definitely return on our next visit to Puerto Rico!

My husband is a regular golfer in Ireland, so it was natural to come to Puerto Rico and visit the best courses in the Island. The golf course is nice, nicely maintained even though the area is dry. There is even a nice breeze coming from the Caribbean sea, bunkers are not in great condition as they lack sand. The bad turn to this is that there is no real customer service, i am Puerto Rican and i was ashamed at the way my husband was treated. The person in the phone told us they were going to charge us one price and when we got there, they charged doubled as they charged for me being in the cart with my husband (i was only reading a book), not to mention that the personnel never spoke English to him, even though they understood what we were saying. They never asked if we needed clubs and placed a set in the golf cart for him, plus we had to walk to the car park as the personnel wouldn't allow us to bring the cart to the carp park to collect my husband's clubs. It is very shameful, i would have gone back if we were treated better as the course was nice, but under the circumstances - i am NEVER going back. There's nice courses in the island where people treat others like normal Puerto Rican do, with hospitality. Irma Aponte

This is a really great golf course. The design and layout is challenging and enjoyable. The greens have been in excellent shape each time I have played it. You have views of the mountains throughout the layout and on certain holes a great view of the Caribbean Sea. The cost is under $65, which is a really good value since it is only 45 minutes from San Juan. I wish I had found this course earlier, yet I have made it now my go to golf course. Consistently while you are playing your round, the drink cart will visit you. The restaurant is also fantastic. You have to make sure that you eat there before or after your round. The food is definitely Puerto Rican and very very delicious. The staff has always been very courteous and enjoyable. Again if you are in the San Juan area and want to golf, make sure you go to El Legado and you will be very happy you did!!!!

Played twice this week. Staff are very friendly and course is nice for the value. Played costa caribe earlier and wished I would have played here first. Course is very dry because of the area. There is very little rain here. So much so they built 18 as an island green(it is a rock filled moat). This is under new ownership and the clubhouse and pro shop are new. Rates are around 60 compared to 200 nearer to San Juan.

The course just opened its new clubhouse and changed the configuration on the 18 hole alignment and it is great. New carts, spanking new pro shop and clubhouse. The course is in excellent shape and can challenge the novice or the pro. Price is very reasonable for what you get and the location is generally dry year round. The winds off the coast can provide some deviations of ball flight but that is part of the fun.
