The rooms were not great but not bad, basic place to sleep. Staff was very helpful and nice. Location was interesting, close to shopping

Very unhappy and discourage to much noise early in the morning, the room to stuffy and hot The stuff needs to be more cordies and attentive. The restorant very poor service.

This was a last minute reservation due to the special holiday in Guatemala during Easter week were streets are very congested. The only down to all was that in the reservation said that they provide airport shuttle (not true) they will call you a taxi (affordable prices). Close to downtown with lots of amenities and city life.

They offer a hotel for a surcharge which is something my boyfriend and I were looking for. $20 per person, each way?! We were just staying for the night and flying out in the am so this was not convienent it was a ripoff which I opted not to do. They provide the basics of what you need other than that, if you just need something very simple and basic and you don't need the shuttle, the hotel will suit you well.

Finding a hotel in Guatemala's zone 1 that is comfortable and safe is difficult. The Hotel Panamerican has fairly simple, basic rooms, but the hotel feels very safe and the location is excellent if you want to be in zone 1. Moreover, the staff are incredibly cordial (they knew my name by the second day) and the food is some of the best in Guatemala City - even Guatemalans will tell you so.

The only thing 2 star about this hotel was the location but the staff and the restaurant made up the difference quite nicely. Menu items were varied and the regional dish I tried (Guatemalan coated fish fillet) was excellent. The neighborhood is old and like many big cities has some major problems. We only stayed overnight in order to make our flight on Monday morning at 5AM. The wakeup call was prompt and the taxi was waiting at the front door.

My experience was perfect because of the location, and the personnel administration's kindness & attention to my needs all the time. It was needed a special something but I can't complaint because it was according to the low good price, compared with last year hotel where I paid double. I enjoyed my stay. Actually I paid for two more nights. Of course there were -may be- three things not very good but it wasn't too bad.

People is very good, hotel was clean, restaurant was decent but a little high price and I will be back

No hot water at this facility!!!! Didn't want to get out of my room at night.

Everything was fine with this hotel. Great price, location and a very friendly staff. I would stay over there in a future trip to Guatemala City.
