Excellent location if this is only what you need. The rest is horrible...I think picture below tells it all.... Old and tired hotel but what worst is the cleanliness.... Terrible... Toilet is mouldy and the dust is unacceptable. Non smoking room but is full of smells.. There is no such thing as hotel service honestly. Well, perhaps this is really what you get is what you paid.
Arrive about 10pm, nobody was around just us 10pax family include 1 infant & 2 kids require 4 rooms and it takes an hr+ to check in. Nothing suprising to be welcomed with rude security as a guest that wants to alight and drop off at the drop off point, our driver have to park outside at the main road and we have to struggle all our 8 luggage + 1 pram. from point A to the lobby -.- very dangerous and inconsiderate. When for 6D5N Dream Cruise and we didnt check out 1 room to store our shopping stuff and baggage... so when we came back to check in 1 room to store our bags while we do last minute shopping for few hrs before check out, they unauthorised it cause we have 10pax so we need to still book the other 3 rooms -.- . so basically we have 1 room to store all the bags and the other 3 rooms was empty and we didnt even utilize it. The receptionist maintain rudeness since the beginning, till the last day of our checkout, we really can't tolerate anymore and start recording her rudeness and immediately she starts to walk away and pretend being all professional when came back to her post. Security keeps shooing us away for sitting at the sides even with baby cause there's not enough chair! and lobby was crowded! so we had to stand all the way for 2hrs to check out. ROOM WAS FILTHY! choked shower room, dirty floor, thick dust at the edges of bed, curtains, table lamp etc. carpet floor smells odour and have alot of yucky stains. Flu allergies triggered, i was super sicked for that few hrs in the hotel ! even the wooden floor rooms are full of dusts and filthiness. TBH it doesn't look as what the picture is. I wish i have the picture of the room but i was super sick and everyone was busy chasing time to shop and packed etc.
We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to One Link International Plaza which is just 5 mins' walk away. We could shop the whole day there, drop off our stuff at the hotel and carry on shopping! To our delight, we found that there was plenty of other shopping in the vicinity, no lack of eating choices and (best of all) we had no trouble getting taxis to and from the hotel to other parts of the city. (We had stayed at Beijing Lu and near Shangxiajiu previously - had difficulty hailing taxis). We had a triple room which was really spacious, at the second-highest floor (top floor was a restaurant),with view of the river. Only slight concern was that the restaurant on the topmost floor of the building, could also be accessed from the lift lobby of our floor (the lift to hotel rooms only went up max to our floor). Restaurant patrons could exit the lift on our floor and there was a doorway with staircase leading 1 floor up to the restaurant. There was no security door or other barrier to prevent restaurant patrons / non-hotel guests from accessing the corridor to the hotel rooms! Thankfully, we realised that hardly anyone accessed the restaurant that way. The restaurant had its own grand entrance at the Ground Floor on another side of the building, so patrons would access from there and take another lift which was not connected to the hotel.
Booked this one because its handy location, I knew it was a very old hotel but the reality still shocked me, bathroom and room really need refurbishment, too old, and it smelt like a smoking room although the room was non-smoking. The service at the reception was also bad, didn't care at all. The only good thing I can remember is that the river view room had a nice view, other than that, nothing worth recommending. There are tons of new and funky hotels in GZ, will not come again.
The hotel is very accessible since it's right near a metro and bus station in Haizhu square. I got to stay there in 2 different rooms for different prices. On the 20th floor it seemed really comfortable and modern. On the 7th, a little older and smaller. Breakfast was on the upper floor with a great view, but it was necessary to climb 2 flights of stairs after using the elevator. Breakfast itself was just OK, nothing great in terms of variety and taste. The staff was nice and helpful, answering my questions about surroundings and giving recommendations, but most of them do not speak good English. Also, for such size and amount of guests that come to the reception, there seems to be not enough receptionists, and I always had to wait in line to talk to them.
Overall, no complaints. This is a good three-star 351-guest rooms, non-smoking hotel. For the discounted price of about US$47 I got on Booking.com, I was satisfied with the overall features of the hotel. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful, but communication was somewhat of a challenge, since I can’t speak Chinese. Bed was comfortable, and the washroom facilities, although badly dated, everything worked as they should. The location is good if you want to spend a day or two going through Jewellery Exchange Wholesale Market and other nearby jewellery wholesalers, OneLink Plaza, GaoDi Jie Underwear Wholesale Market, BibBin Garment Market, and Shoes Wholesale Market. All are within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Beijing Road with its many retailers and restaurants is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.Walking through Haizhu Square and across the Haizhu Bridge takes you into the Wedding Clothing/Dresses Market. The hotel is frequented by tour groups. I got to the hotel by taking Line 2 of the subway/Metro to Haizhu Square Station, and going to Exit E.
Me & my Husband stayed in this property from 11th aug - 15 aug . On 11th on check in , they alloted an old Horrble room . It was changed after many requests & even this was was bit average against the price we paid . Yesterday on check out , Hotel people charged 180 RMB / 1800 INR forcefully from us !! Claiming that there is a small pen stain on sheet & behaved very badly with us . Will not stay in this property again & will suggest all not to stay here .
the hotel is in a very good location. just beside the haizhu sq metro station exit E. there are many eatery shops and haizhu wholesales market is just a few steps away. as u turn right from the hotel main door and across the street, there's a stretch of shops selling nice n cheap shoes. the only con is me n my mum were bitten by bedbugs on our last night in the room .we found one dead bedbug though.room is quite old and rundown. overall the service is so so. no one assist us at the lobby with our luggage though there is bellhop.
Nice place with really good sense of service here Quiet rooms and Nice meals for everykind of needs Not Really expansive for this kind of lever of quality. Really appreciate people here ready to help you everytime needed Total confidence !!!!
I went to Guangzhou last year and I went to Guangzhou hotel. The hotel is quite good with river view from our room. The receptionist are not fluent in english so I a little bit hard to check-in here. The hotel location is very good. Near MRT and Bus station to the airport. And there have many mall around the hotel. But overall this hotel is good
