We visited Maine to see the beautiful fall colors. This was our first trip to Greenville. The Greenville Inn is a charming bed and breakfast with very comfortable accommodations and gracious hosts. We stayed in the Shaw Suite - elderly parents stayed on the main floor and my husband and I stayed upstairs in what was once the hayloft of the carriage house. The views of Moosehead Lake and the Longfellow mountain range from the Inn were spectacular! Breakfast was delicious each morning. Jeff and his wife Terry are wonderful owners/caretakers of this historic inn - preserving the history and charm
The Greenville Inn sits atop a hill overlooking beautiful Moosehead Lake and within walking distance of the small town of Greenville, Maine. The innkeepers pay every attention to detail to maintain the integrity of this historical registry bed & breakfast. Rooms in the main inn are small but there are also family suites and cottages available on the property, which is beautifully landscaped. The breakfast in the cozy dining room, with fireplace, is always delicious and filling, with a different egg entree each day along with breads, fresh fruit, meat, and fresh juices, coffee, and tea. They host weddings there every year. The innkeeper made us feel right at home and was willing to accommodate our every request. This is Maine hospitality! We hope to return some day!
super place. owners are wonderful and very relax. The inn is awesome, the rooms are huge and confortable. Breakfast is delicious. Location is close to lake and very quiet. we will definitly comeback . A++++
We stayed for our first time in Greenville, at the Greenville Inn. We chose the Pine Cone Cottage. This cottage was beyond anything that we could imagine. The cottage was beautiful, immaculate, and decorated in a rustic, Maine way. The beds were probably the most comfortable beds we have ever stayed on. The breakfast at the Inn was fantastic. We definitely will be returning to Greenville Inn at Moosehead Lake. Thank you Jeff for being such a wonderful host.
I have been traveling to the Moosehead Lake region for over 50 years. Sadly, our family cottage was recently sold and this was our first stay at the Greenville Inn. Terri and Jeff were fantastic hosts and the accommodations and food were fantastic! Our cottage was charming and had all that we needed - including a fantastic view of a thunderstorm making its way over the mountains. Great experience that we have told our friends and family about. Can't wait to return.
This was a last minute trip for my husband and myself what a gem. Everything about this Inn was wonderful we stayed in a chalet not in the main building it was so cozy and comfy. Breakfast was also wonderful nice selection buffet something a little different everyday. Jeff the proprietor was so nice and friendly also very knowledgeable about the what to do in the town. We will definitely be making a trip back.
This is a delightful place to stay- interesting assortment of rooms in this lumber baron Victorian home. The owner has also built cabins for families. The view from the porch is awesome. Moosehead Lake is one of our nations largest inland lakes being 40 miles long and 20 wide. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.
We stayed in Room 24, which was very Victorian & stylish, but also very homey & comfy. Jeff is the peaches. Helpful, informative, kind, and gave us a tour, invited us to sit on the veranda under the blooming lilac tree, showed us the breakfast room. You can see a bit of Moosehead Lake below, as well as the seaplanes flying around giving tourists rides. It's pretty dreamy and we had to pinch ourselves. Breakfast was delicious (pecan French toast, warm and soft and crunchy all at the same time, fresh fruit, perfect coffee). Jeff was very gracious when my husband accidentally knocked some cream on the beautiful rug (yikes). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There are some really charming features in this home - make sure you take some time to enjoy them.
Very nice property, clean and well maintained. Enjoyed visiting with Jeff and he can really serve a lovely breakfast. I would definitely recommend to others and we'll be back for sure. Thanks for the fantastic experience.
The Inn was a feast for the eyes.....beautifully restored and maintained. We spent two nights in cabin 4 and it was perfect. Jeff and his wife Terry were excellent hosts and we enjoyed hearing some of Jeff’s life stories and a little history of the house and area during breakfast, which was prepared by Jeff and delicious.
