We came down specially from Edinburgh. The food was brilliant and staff was very help. I tried Lamb ki boti which was very tender and melted in mouth straight away. I highly recommend this place. My family loved this place. Kids loved Masala fish from starter menu which was mild and very soft. Also try their cheese naan.
We stayed a few nights at the Lorne and ate in the restaurants which were fantastic. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the rooms which were rather tired. The shower screen in the room seal was broken and every time you had a shower the floor got soaked. The heater was noisy but give them credit they did offer to move us but after dragging two heavy cases we declined as we were exhausted. We had came from a stay at the premier inn Pacific quay which to be honest was far better. He only thing we came away thinking was how sore our backs were from the hard bed. I know beds vary and I’m sympathetic to that so it must be bad for me to comment
We had dinner in the Indian restaurant located in the hotel and it was phenomenal. The service was amazing from start to finish and the food was lovely. As a couple we had 3 courses each and 2 drinks each only came to £47 great value for money
The lobby is nice and the rooms are pretty good. The bathroom/shower was a bit tired looking. Saying that the shower was good. The food and drink is pricey but probably reasonable for Glasgow. The staff were nice. Would I go back? Possibly not, there’s lots of hotels around that area.
Very pleasant entrance and hotel staff, We stayed one night in room 502. Quite small but clean, down side-- we managed to get around 2 hours sleep, the noise from the lift was terrible, when you thought it had stopped it would start up again. Left in the morning shattered.!!!!!
myself and my mum stayed here as we were seeing strictly at the secc. The location was great able to walk to Arena for the show. There is also a fab cocktail bar in the hotel and we are at the Indian there too, amazing! food was fantastic. Breakfast was also great good selection and all fresh. The room.was bright, clean and comfortable. Would return
The staff at the Lorne are so helpful. The reception stall, in particular Louise, couldn’t be more helpful. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel on our next visit to Glasgow. We can recommend every aspect of the hotel including the wonderful food served in the Kelvin Bar.
Nice hotel in a fairly central position. Smart bar With a great selection of drinks - cocktails only £3.50!! My first room had a noisy air conditioning unit, but they Changed my rooms without any hassle. Room 225 nice And quiet - very comfortable bed - ensuite bath and shower. Air conditioning . Full wifi free throughout the hotel. I didn't eat at the hotel, although they do have a very Popular Indian restaurant which was packed! Street parking only. Short walk into city. Some great restaurants opposite the hotel. I will be back ! Great value for money.
Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Very comfortable good sized room. Everything we needed. Some rooms more modern than others. Excellent meal in Birdtree & Bellfish served by the very competent Alex. Lovely table served breakfast first day, buffet breakfast second day for some reason. Both very good. This was our first visit here and we hope to go back soon when weather is a bit better. Hotel in very nice area of Glasgow, well worth the visit. Would recommend.
We stayed overnight for a concert at the hydro. Clean and comfortable beds. Friendly staff and very helpful. Great situation to all venues. My daughter uses it all the time. She has had breakfast and said it was good too.
