A flying business trip to the fine city of Glasgow lend me to this venue booked by my colleague Richard. It's a well priced absolutely fine Holiday Inn Express offering , clean , centrally located and convenient Nothing bad but equally nothing very outstanding Two comments though, no on site parking but large payable open carpark about 100m up the road Two lifts and on departure waited about 10 minutes as large contingent of Danes were checking out All good , no surprises.

Nice, clean, modern hotel. On the map it didn't look very centrally located, but was actually quite eay to get to with a bus stop just a block away and Glasgow Central train station easily within walking distance. Views weren't anythng special, but we enjoyed taking a short stroll along the river after dinner and then watching the sunset from the window at the end of the hall. Breakfast was good, the room was clean and the sofa bed was already open and made when we got there.

I must admit, whenever I stay at an "Express" my expectations are much lower than staying in a regular Holiday Inn or Crowne Plaza but no need to fear! The hotel is very comfortable. Central for the river and shopping. St Enoch's Shopping Centre is just around the corner. I had a room facing a car park but the advantage is that it was quiet so I slept all night. The free breakfast was more than enough and enough tables free in the morning. the Scottish reception staff were very helpful and you need a key to access the toilets and elevators so everyone feels safe. I would stay again!

It felt nice walking into reception/bar/sitting and dinner room. Had a buzz, music was playing and nice aura. Completely different to Premier Inn or Z Hotel. The manager on the 10th May was brilliant and most of the staff smiled. I burnt my hand and the manager immediately attended to it and changed my bandages night and morning. I am most grateful, he saved my hand, and Im sorry I don't remember his name. I didn't like my room because there was no river view and the next day they gave me a room on the river and upgraded for free. The river is very calming and beautiful and its a shame the windows are small and you have to go right up to them to see it.If you want to stay for more than a few days the rooms are equipped with ironing board and iron, but no cupboards. The bathrooms are great-nice big shower and very cleverly designed. Four niggly things-they don't have fridge in the room, they are stingy with the tea bags (1per person for all day) they won't give you a wake up call (you have to use the tv, which lulls me to sleep) and breakfast finishes at 9.30am. Why? Not everybodys meetings start at 8!! This is the only hotel I have been in that doesn't serve breakfast at least till 10-10.30. Consequently, although I had paid for breakfast I only had it once. There is a dinning room and bar but it is quite expensive. If they changed these four things I would stay there every time.

Was in Glasgow for Business meetings and stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Nice hotel with very welcoming staffs. I had few problems with the check-in process however they sorted it out. My booking included breakfast and food was good. Only thing that I didn't like was the room size. It was quite small although it didn't matter much for me as I used spend most of times outside.

What a great place to stay, staff couldn't be better. Room was spacious and clean. Nice breakfast. It is so close to city centre and rail station and nice walk along the river Clyde. Very close also to a stop for the tour bus.

We Stayed one night and had two double rooms. Hotel is in a really good location. Hotels seems very well maintained and the staff were friendly. The breakfast available was really nice too. Would stay here again.

the hotel rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. but the location is the best, its just 5 minute walk from the main shopping road as well as has the hop on hop off bus station just outside (also is a 2 minute walk form a cab stand). the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very good as well.

I stayed here 2 nights on a recent trip to Glasgow. The staff were friendly. The rooms was clean and spacious. The hotel was close enough to the main shopping area in Glasgow. Breakfast was satisfactory (fair amount of choice, but the scrambled eggs tasted rather artificial). Price was reasonable for 2 night. Overall good but not spectacular.

We always stay at the Holiday inn express whenever we are in Glasgow, the location is perfect for everything. Shops are just around the corner. Staff are friendly, never had any problems. rooms are spacious, modern & clean, tv with good selection on channels Lovely view of the River Clyde from some of the rooms Only downfall was breakfast.
