We stayed for two nights and the service and welcome were exceptional. We stayed in the new block which was very nicely decorated. The only minor issues were the comfort of the mattress and the fact that the curtains didn't prevent the sun from streaming into the room early in the morning. Minor issues for a very good hotel, with a great breakfast and such good service.
Great al fresco bar & restaurant in superb garden setting, Our room was in the contemporary 12 year old extension whereas with the Palacio name we thought we would be in the historic palace but not to be!
Another great Hospes hotel; this was the second one we tried (in the same trip) and we saw some consistencies, in design and service. Too bad this hotel did not have an outdoor pool (which could’ve been nice as it went up to 43C when we were there). Room was super nice; love how bright and spacious it was. Location was super central. Love every bits about this hotel; we wish we could've stayed longer.
During check in, I had requested to stay in the old building due to reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The gentleman gave me the opportunity to look at a room in both the old and new building. Both rooms were beautiful, but I chose the room in the old building just because of the character. The gave me a 15 minute complimentary massage which I used the next day as it was my birthday. In the morning as I walked past reception the staff wished my happy birthday. Later I had my massage and the lady asked if I had any allergies and I informed her I had a nut allergy so she used an alternative oil on me. She also asked me what area I wanted her to focus on. In the evening I returned to my room to find a bottle of Cava and some biscuits. I spent the evening in the pool, sauna and steam room. All three areas were clean and there were staff around at all times. The breakfast selection was good and there was an option to sit outside. All the staff I interacted with were polite and friendly and really helped to make my stay memorable. I'm not a fan of going to the same place twice but if I did come back to Granada, staying at this hotel would be mandatory.
Fine hotel, good reception. Nothing to complain about. Had a dinner and some drinks at the Hotel restaurant but didn’t live up to the expectation. Took almost 1-5-2 hour before we got the main course. Even got a hair in the food and the suckling pig wasn’t fresh and didn’t taste good. The other main course was ok, but seems like the kitchen have some problems. Conclusion: Very fine hotel, good service, but eat somewhere else : )
Hotel itself is beautiful. It smells incredible in the whole building and in the room aswell. We were in the new building, the rooms were modern, clean and nicely done. The Spa could be a bit improved and they also dont have a gym. Else I really loved it
There are two buildings We were in the old building in the basement adjoining rooms that were clean but over crowded with furniture Breakfast quality was poor The patio while pretty had NO. setvice and when served the amount was poor Location was great - reception desk was terrific on recommended TAPAS locations and my family went crazy shopping Based on breakfast and afternoon we chose to eat out
Fantastic stay. Great placement in the city, great staff which helped with everything we needed and they even put in a bottle of water in our car when we left the hotel with the compliments of the hotel. Absolutely worth the stay and would recommend it greatly. Ps. It is a bit noisy outside so if you are after a quiet hotel, then maybe not the best one. But what to expect when in the city centre!
My family and I enjoyed this hotel very much. We had 3 rooms in the old building, not the new, and from other reviews that seemed to be the best choice. The rooms were really special - modern updates and comforts in a lovingly restored building. The staff at the front desk were all excellent, and went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent stay.
A stunning renovation of a beautiful building in central Granada. There is also a new building housing the restaurant, spa and some of the guest rooms. Service and hospitality from EVERY member of staff was excellent from the minute we arrived - thank you. Our deluxe room was very comfortable with a huge bed, seating area and well appointed bathroom. Also, being on the top floor, it was very quiet. The restaurant offered an extensive menu across the day and was good value for the quality of the meal and service. Criticism #1: we used the Hospes App to book a tasting menu with wine flight for dinner, however, the restaurant knew nothing of this and although had our table reservation, could only provide the a la carte menu as there was not a tasting menu available. This was disappointing but to be fair we still enjoyed a good meal. Criticism #2: the Spa is somewhat disappointing. The steam room didn't appear to be working and the "pool" is more like a large cool bath. I think there should have been water jets but these didn't seem to be working. The sauna was as expected. We didn't have treatments but I suspect that they are what the spa is geared up for. Being British we didn't say anything about the above as it didn't ruin our stay it was just a little disappointing when everything else is so great at the hotel. Overall, we like the Hospes brand and what they have to offer. The attention to detail is excellent and the staff are wonderful. We chose this hotel having stayed in the Hospes hotel in Seville last year and was very impressed and we look forward to visiting other Hospes hotels in Spain.
