This is a beautiful location on the crystal river. We enjoyed using the kayaks to paddle up and down and my two boys love the sand on the beach. We had a little situation with some unexpected fire alarms, the first night, but the team worked hard the next day to fix everything.We would definitely stay here again

We had a great stay. House was immaculate. Had all amenities and more. Very well stocked. All beds were comfortable. Perfect for two families. The kids had so much fun using the kayaks. The backyard was an amazing spot to hang out. The price was higher than we usually spend on a vacation rental but we felt it was worth it in this case. I would highly recommend this house.

We loved the place! We had seven children with us ranging in ages from 6 to 14. They all had a great time, with the river and kayaks in the backyard. And Lake Michigan practically in the back yard. The landscaping around the house was very nice, and the backyard was amazing. With four families, we got use out of the two full kitchens. The host was very responsive to any questions. We would definitely go back!

We were very happy with the rental unit - After Dune Delight . We had 3 1/2 families with two set of children (4). We were pleased that both the upper and lower units had fully equipped kitchens with fully stocked cabinets and all the appliances that we needed. The two levels gave us the opportunity to have some quiet time away from the larger group. The upper unit has a large table that, when opened, sits 11 people, and the lower unit has a table on the screened in porch. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of the table on the porch, because of the time of year but, I could imagine that it would be the place to have family meals during the warmer months. The cottage was on a bend of the Crystal River. My family has often canoed the Crystal and love the views as we slowly drift down to Glen Arbor. The cottage is set in a wooded area on the river. The views from the cottage are spectacular, especially in the early morning. We woke up to geese and ducks swimming in the willows along the bank. We even saw a Bald Eagle feeding on a carcass next to the road as we drove up to the property.Included with the rental are plenty of towels, and toiletries so there is no need to run to town for those forgotten items.I hope we can utilize this rental again in the summer when Glen Arbor is at it's finest.

Fall Get Away 2024

We gather our children together for my husband’s birthday each year and travel to a destination up north for a long weekend away. The house is as listed, nestled in a quaint spot in the woods just outside Glen Arbor city limits. Lots of extra touches were inside the home to make our stay more comfortable. There were extra toiletries, coffee, coffee filters, and tea in both kitchens. The house was clean with the exception of some pet hair, and it wasn’t that big of an issue. It did describe the listing as pet friendly! Would love to return to the area again in the warmer months. We loved our stay and will for sure be back again ☺️

Dune home

This was a great location for a getaway. The home was well maintained and very clean. This is tastefully designed and had great little seating areas. I loved that we had access to kayaks. We chose to paddle upstream to the road and then back. Very close to the cute town and easy access to Sleeping Bear dunes. We would have stayed another night if it was available.

Up North getaway

This was our first trip to Glen Arbor and we had a great time. The house was close to all we needed, well appointed and very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and it was easy to find quiet spaces to rest. Loved it!

Family Reunion 2023

House accommodated a large family reunion reunion very well! Just a few difficulties to work around — not adequate bathrooms & access through bedrooms was awkward/not ideal. A planned road closure on day of departure for some of our guests was also terribly inconvenient. The location, the living room & patio spaces, two fully operational kitchens was a HUGE Bonus!

Five Stars – Worth the money

This property was home to our group of 8 golfers this past weekend. All of the guys really enjoyed the setting. Fishing from the dock. Paddling the kayaks on the Crystal River. Sitting around the campfire. Watching the big TV in the family room. Eating meals in the screened-in porch while overlooking the river. This is an expansive house with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Book it now. You will love it. Communication with the property manager (Dylan) was excellent. Very speedy replies to any and all of my questions.

Amazing!

Both owner and property manager were pleasant, communicative, responsive and easy to work with. The home was amazing and had such easy access to so many points of interest and Glen Arbor and the Heritage Trail. If we asked for advice it was readily available to us. If we inquired about items they were provided to us the next day or before our stay. Northern Michigan truly an amazing place to be during the summer and this home made it even more enjoyable for our family, including two toddlers. Thanks to all of you!
