As much as possible we like to find good "Mom & Pops" locally owned non-franchise motels. Not a fan of franchise places that put the mom & pops out of business and then raise their prices...for mediocre sub par service. Nice rooms, with very good service and price. I would definitely stay here again!
Had mild expectations due to the low price, was beyond pleasantly surprised! Inside the room, only sign of age is air conditioner, but it works fine! Flat screen TV, pretty fast wifi, room is extremely well-maintained (has clearly been refurbished) and very clean. Desk clerk was quite friendly and professional. No continental breakfast, but at its price, you'll be able to afford breakfast at one of Gillette's many dining establishments.
Stayed here on our way to Devils Tower and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. The lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this motel. So much better then higher priced hotels!
its older motel but its clean beds and flat screen tvs, cheaper depending on when you are there, $44 a night $150 -$200 weekly, trainyard across road but I didn't mind the noise (occasional banging and train going by)
We stayed here one night on our way to hike in the Big Horns, out of Buffalo, Wy. Our stay ended up being extended another three nights because of weather. The gal at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. This place isn't the most up to date but it's kept clean and we were comfortable and felt safe.
The wife and I stayed here one night on a cross country motorcycle trip. The room was clean and it did what it was supposed to do. It kept us dry and warm. No issues with the room. They had free wifi. There wasn't a continental breakfast, but the did provide free coffee to guests.
Travelling with my 2 dogs. Made a reservation on the phone, indicating I'd be in around 9-10 at night. I didn't make it until right at 10 that evening. The same person remembered me, was concerned that I wasn't going to make it! Nice little place. yes, it's dated. Yes, it's not the Hilton, but then again, it doesn't cost that much either. I've stayed in much better for more money. I felt it to be clean, comfy and cozy. Big room. Bed wasn't my home mattress, but very serviceable I felt. No charge for the dogs to stay with me. If I"m through again I would stay again with no hesitation.
Stayed for one night while passing through town. The property when pulling up seems very uninviting but the lady manager at the front desk was so inviting and friendly that my worries started to wash away. The room was simple but it definitely had all you could need... tv, fridge, microwave and a desk. Bed was comfortable, same for lounge chair as well. The bathroom was dated but it was clean and got the job done. For $39, it was priced right and well worth it's value. Plus our pet was free, no charge !
Just spent 2 nights during the Sturgis bike rally. Rooms are small and dated, but it is 50+ years old. Room was clean, no bugs. A/C, hot water, microwave, mini fridge, flat screen TV, and enough channels to get you through the night. Friendly staff. Would stay here again. Served our needs. 3 star hotel, 3 star price.
The worst ever. I rented a space for a construction worker to stay, he ended up staying in a camper instead because this place was completely inhospitable. Hotel hell would just come with a bulldozer. Unhygienic, filthy, run down, rude service, smokey, and downright scary after dark. No phones in the rooms. No cleaning if you stay more than one day, cops on premises regularly, and children running all over the parking lot (probably because the room isn't safe for them to play on the floor.) What a nightmare and embarrassment for the community!
