Stayed here several times, had Sunday brunch, Mothers Day lunch and dinners many times. Lovely setting, swimming pool is open in the summer. Divonne is a great place to visit all year round. Lovely views of the Jura and the Alps. Rooms are luxurious and fully equiped. love the Art Deco styling of the hotel and the tiny lift!
Hotel offers a great combination of modern luxury and comfortable stay with an atmosphere of decades ago. You could imagine yourselves in the Sissy days, really well done ! Rooms clean, spacious, some with balcony, all give you a feeling of "home", a warm and welcoming hotel ! Breakfast fine, bars and shared spaces are equally feeling "good"
We booked for only one night but we decided to stay 1 more day. It was so relax. the room was perfect.. spacious, comfortable and quiet. Very good breakfast. The dishes at the restaurant les Présidents were very very good. After playing golf, the bath in the swimming pool was delicious.
I stopped here for a week on business. I found the food to be very good in quality and variety. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything that was required. Swimming pool and health centre were good. A really comfortable and enjoyable trip in a nice hotel, with good service and a peaceful setting.
We stayed there for four nights. My wife and I were pleased with their service - nice clean rooms with great view. Nice restaurants and they have a Casino as well. I ate at Le Magic restaurant inside the Casino, the food was just phenomenal and the service was great there as well. I would highly recommend everyone to check this place out.
Royal silence. Distant splash from the swimming-pool. The restaurant Les Présidents, part of the huge Domaine de Divonne/Grand Hôtel, can be reached by a mysterious and attractive gate - LA TERRASSE above it - and a flight of steps through foliage that will make you heart leap and rejoice in advance... So close from Geneva, under one condition : have a motorized friend or neighbor, as public transportation is almost non existent. Handsome terrace overlooking trees and lawns. Excellent quality priced meals, from angus beef to daurade. Interesting selection of French wines, especially Malbec and Viognier. Creative cocktails : mango-ginger-secret spice tonight. Youthful team to look after you with consideration and humour, as well as enjoying their newly-embraced trade. Do reserve on week-ends. A perfect moment indeed.
Stayed here for 5 days on a business trip. Not much to do in town so was expecting the hotel to be damn good. The wifi is quite spotty and service kind of inadequate. No one to carry your luggage - you have to haul it up to your room yourself. The room itself is quite big and spacious but doesn't have water kettle to heat water, no tea or coffee service in the room. No water is kept in the room for complimentary drinking. The jacuzzi and sauna are quite nice though gym is quite small and equipments not enough for the serious fitness freak. Though the outdoors is amazing for running et al. Overall, the stay could have been so much better but sadly was not.
I stayed here recently with a group of friends, and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Checking in was very efficient, despite the arrivals being very busy, and the room was excellent. Well appointed in a classical sort of style, with a very spacious room and superbly comfortable bed. The room was quiet and very clean, with a large bathroom and good views over the town and gardens. Food was excellent with a very large buffet meal being selected, and a good range of options, with good wines and champagne. Overall, despite being a very short stay,it was a very good one,and an easy recommendation to anyone staying.
All staff friendly and serviable.from reception, to bar, to breakfast, all the way up to the fourth floor where I had a great massage. Ok, the spa area is tiny, and we did feel like battery hens in the jaccuzi, but the while we did spend in there was enjoyable. the rooms are spacious, very clean, whatever folks may say about the decor. it's just a pity that with all the sound insulation, the windows don't insulate from outside noise, and so, we heard the neighbours drag their table around the balcony much of the night. Dinner was nice. well served, service extremely professional, better organised than breakfast. We found that despite the large number of staff serving at breakfast, the buffet seemed to be always missing some elements, even plates in the beginning (they arrive, but hot)... and I was baffled by the fact that we had to get up and ask for tea bags. also, the buffet might benefit from a second coffee machine, because folks seem too hurried to wait for their coffee to be ground, so they keep cancelling their coffees being poured and it takes ages for one person to get a coffee. Al in all, a relaxing time, but a few operational improvements could help.
Quaint charming typically French hotel with friendly staff. Very Convenient for Geneva Airport and popular for spa break…. Spa is tiny! Generally good value for money and breakfast is good value compared to some hotels... Some of the areas of the hotel showing its age. The rooms are very cosy! Most have balconies. The Spa facility quite tired and frankly disappointing. Shame the weather was not better as I suspect the outdoor pool area helps make this hotel in the warmer months. Reasonable hotel given the location, handy for the airport, Geneva and Lausanne.. charming not luxe, perhaps even average! Not my idea of four stars but charming!
