The location in Jamaica beach was perfect but the house is not what the pictures showed....I would not recommend to anyone due to how dirty with sand and lights in house not working properly. The fishing piers were had no lights for fishing... very disappointing!!

I'll start off by saying this place is still a great place, but it's old. Whoever owns it is not keeping up with it. As the week carried on, we found more and more problems with the property.1. The hot tub doesn't work2. The fishing lights don't work. 3. The hot water didn't work in one of the showers. 4. There are several TV's but could not find any remotes that worked except for one. 5. The pull out couch was disgusting! There were large stains on the mattress and coffee or soda was poured all over it. 6. There was a extra mattress in the closet with stains and a large hole in it. 7. The ice maker in the bar doesn't work. 8. The freezer in the new fridge didn't freeze for 2 days. 9. The ice maker didn't work in the fridge either. 10. I found out that the lights were burned in the toilet as I was trying to use it at 3am. 11. The handles fell off the doors on the oven and also the outdoor grill. 12. There is a golf cart in the garage that doesn't work. The garage was in disarray with everything thrown on the floor. Life jackets, fishing rods, kayaks and everything else you can think of was just thrown on the floor like no one has checked on it in 6 months. 13. There was old broken furniture sitting on the back dock just left there instead of being cleaned up. 14. I forgot to mention that there were legs falling off of furniture inside as well. I contacted the management office regarding some of the issues we needed repaired. No one ever showed in the 4 days we were there

Fabulous house Fabulous Location

Four adults and three kids ages 4-8 had a really wonderful week in this beautiful house. Great fishing in the canal. Great time in the private pool. Quick drive to the beach. BEAUTIFUL view from the upper deck. Lots of room in the family area. Great kitchen with walk-in pantry. We will definitely book again.

Paradise mistaken

The home is absolutely beautiful and in a great location. However the pool/hotub pump was out, the refrigerator didn't work properly, we had 2 shower issues and a cold master bath that requires a plumber on 2nd day, several pieces of furniture were broken so limited seating, the outdoor electronics did not work,,the outdoor areas were not cleaned and had debris everywhere.

Not well maintained

In general, we enjoyed our stay. That said, there were a number of items that we were disappointed in, that truly didn’t match the photos and description of the property. This included: - Outside furniture falling apart - Outside grill doors broken, grill not cleaned - Outdoor equipment (kayaks, paddleboards) were super dirty and needed cleaned - Garage was very dirty and cluttered - Spa/pool wouldn't heat - Dirty kitchen drawers/pantry - Master bathroom not cleaned well - Fridge didn't seal fully to keep things cold - No extra supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We did call the property manager to get more toilet paper and they brought some. - Cracked windows, BB hole through one of the bedroom windows - Front gate broken It felt like this house had been lived in previously and the owner moved out and turned into a VRBO, and it just hasn't been thoroughly cleaned or managed well. We still had a fantastic time, but definitely don't think it met the standards equivalent to the price.

On POINT! Great home!

What a wonderful location and great home we had a blast. The pool was so fun and we were able to keep our jets skis in boat slip. What a fabulous time we had thank you we can’t wait to go back!

Best House on the Island

Everything was as advertised. The house was clean and everything was ready for us. Caught a ton of trout under the lights and the reds came through the channel during the tides. Ideal for families with kids. The deck below was perfect for us to sit and watch the kids fish. The pool was the winner. The beach was blown out one of the days, so having the pool was crucial. We are now making this a yearly event

Wonderful house for a family getaway!

My husband, myself, our 4 year old & my brother and sister in law and their two kids had a wonderful stay here. The house was clean, perfect size for us, and provided plenty of fun and activities for our week long stay. The pool was nice and clean upon arrival and someone came once while we were there to clean and vacuum it again. The AC in the main living quarters went out in the wee hours of the morning our first night there….we made one phone call and someone was there within 3 hours and had it fixed! We were so appreciative of their promptness. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels and toiletries were provided, and the fishing was really good for us. Overall we really have no complaints and would book this house again in a heartbeat. This is our 3rd stay in 3 years at Jamaica Beach and we’ve stayed at a different house each time with this one being our favorite!

Perfect large family beach house

Great house. Very clean. Lots of beds. Towel sets on every bed. Industrial fridge. Great view of beach and beach access. Best house we have ever stayed at. Completely stocked kitchen for large groups. Manager checked in with us daily. Can’t wait to come back.

Better than expected!

After reading a couple of reviews of previous guests we were skeptical but proceeded to book anyway. We were not disappointed. This is a fabulous property. It was very clean, and the amenities were exceptional. Everything we needed to get us started was available, pots, pans, dishes, bath items, paper items, etc. All appliances were commercial grade and very nice. The outside grill was natural gas so no need to worry about running out of propane. Very scenic property as it was nice to see recreational and fishing boats travel in and out of the canal as we sat in the shaded patio with a cool drink. The pool and jacuzzi were great. However, the pool lights did not work. All the properties are built on stilts, so it is not recommended for someone who has difficulties climbing stairs. All an all it was great, and we would recommend this property to others. Yes, the property managers were attentive as well to all our needs. Thanks for a great time with our family gathering...we shall return!

Not worth the price

We picked this house because we are avid fishermen. It advertised "fishing lights". We checked in on Monday and left on Sunday. We called the office on Monday to let them know the lights were not working. Again on Tuesday, again on Wednesday and again on Thursday. They were not helpful and it was very frustrating. We told them several times we picked this house because of the "fishing lights". They didn't care. They finally got someone out there late on Friday. And come to find out it was just flood lights that were not working. There were no "fishing lights". There was cockroaches in the house and it was hard to regulate the AC. For the over $6000 we spent for 6 days and to not have fishing lights was a huge disappointment. When we checked out and dropped the keys off we again voiced our disappointment and lack of importance we received from their staff only to be shooed off.

Great Experience!

I rented this house for a quick Spring Break getaway for the kiddos, and we really enjoyed it. Some highlights - Pool was heated, hot tub, separate ice maker in the indoor bar, outdoor bar with TV and mini fridge/sink right by the dock, fire pit, outdoor gas grill, and lots of recreational gear that they allow guests to use. The rooms were nice and bathrooms were great. The Master Bathroom had a huge shower, bidet, jacuzzi tub, fireplace, TV, huge closet. Each room had a full bathroom and there was a powder room in the main living area and another downstairs. Thanks for the great stay! We will definitely be back.
