Galveston vacation

Annoyed kind of wanting a partial refund. When first arrive grass hasn't been cut, weeds as high as my hips. Had to wade through water to get to unlock on backdoor. Smoke alarms needed batteries they replaced them same day. Had ants in bedroom. Roaches in kitchen and bathroom. there were dirty dishes not just water stains. lamp in living room didn't have a way to turn on. 1 remote for the two TV's. tried to sweep up but no dust pan. hand sanitizer would have been nice after seeing the roaches. An actual stocked kitchen supplies cause it would have been nice to have a spatula to flip hamburgers.

Spring break 24

Overall, I was very happy with our stay. The house was located near lots of things. We had most everything we needed there. However, when I booked it was listed as dog friendly but when I inquired about bringing my fur baby, the add magically changed. I even had a screen shot with proof that it was listed that way and they wouldn’t honor it.

Beach Bungalow

The house was very accommodating & in a great location. Only concern was Coffee Maker did not work but it encouraged us to go out to some amazing restaurants. The pictures on line are not the same house but the house was great! Thank you for a great weekend yo celebrate my friends wedding!

Great house for family beach time!

This house is in a fantastic location (a nice walk to the beach) and accommodated my family and dogs comfortably. The property management team was quick to respond to questions and the house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

1st Time with VRBO

Yard was overgrown with tons of sticker burrs. My dog was full of stickers every time she went outside and brought them into the rug on the living room. My daughter and I could not go barefoot in the house due to the stickers on everything! The coffee pot worked fine until 10/29 (Sunday). Then it would not come on even after resetting plugs in kitchen and plugging it in at various plugs. The washing machine tub does not fill with water when cycle is selected. Not much use for beach or fishing clothes that need cleaning. Several water bugs and roaches seen in living room after midnight. Not unusual in coastal town but may get worse. There are no face clothes in the bathroom to wash with. My daughter requested these.

Not clean

First off, upon arrival I was on hold with Vacasa for TWO HOURS just to figure out where I could park!!!! After being there for only 30 minutes we had to kill 2 roaches, it’s listed as having a washer and dryer… it has them but the washer doesn’t work! I called Vacasa and they said someone from the local team world be calling me to send maintenance out to look at the washer, no one ever called! They know about the insect problem because there are bug deterrents plugged in all over the kitchen! Be careful when stepping off of the back porch steps, there is a hold that I twisted my ankle in and fell to the ground. There were no hand rails going down the steps. It is pet friendly and they ask that you pick up after your pets, yet when we arrived there was already dog poop all over the back yard… which also has sticker burs all over. The house had barley been cleaned. Sand all over the floor, dust on the fan blades, the ac return was COVERED in dust, big stains on both of the living room rugs, and insect droppings INSIDE the cabinets. I had to wash the dishes before we used them.

Poor stay

Washing machine didn’t work and with sand from the beach we were unable to clean our clothes. Very inconvenient if we stayed longer. We made due despite the inconvenience. The house was not very clean and their were ants all over the kitchen. The location was convenient but that’s about it. Stickers all over the backyard easily attaching to the kids and being brought in. I would not recommend this place.

As soon as we pulled up the outside was run down. The lawn looked like it has not been kept up with. Upon walking into the house we immediately were disappointed. The floors had visible dirt in the kitchen . Even the fridge and freezer were dirty inside. That was alone to make me want to leave but we kept going and it kept getting worse. The couch was disgusting with stains and and who knows what. Every room had dirty floors. Just food and crumbs all over. The door to the main bedroom had what I thought looked like blood smeared on it. The shower had dead bugs and hair and dust. There was hair on the pillow in the guest room. Thankfully the property management, vacasa, was helpful. We called them quickly and Lisa was able to help submit a ticket for a refund which should process soon hopefully. No one should have to pay for a rental vacation home this disgusting.

Always a great stay

This is my second time here and I’m ready to book a third. There are games for the kids and sand toys as well. The back patio is so nice and the dog friendliness is awesome. All the amenities we need are there for a family of four.

We couldn’t stand to be outside the smell was so bad.

The house is cute, one level, and allows dogs. Check in process was easy. I’ve stayed in over 12 VRBO offered homes and 5-6 that are managed by Vacasa. I’ve alway left 5 star reviews. This is my first “bad” review. The trash can was left out by the street for weeks and I think the neighbors filled it with fish guts and rotting food. The yard patio and driveway smelled so bad we had to take turns watching the dogs in the yard. I called the management company and was left on hold for 20 minutes but they said that they would take care of the trash. By taking care of it means they literally pulled the rotting trash out of the van and piled it on the lawn then simply saying I had a place to put my trash now IN the can. I couldn’t even get close to the can with my trash because the smell and flies. Even the neighbors came over and asked about the smell and said they could let the kids play in the pool in the yard it was so bad. I expressed that I was disappointed and there was no effort to fix anything. When we checked there wasn’t even one roll of toilet paper, there was old moldy grounds in the coffee maker and ants in the kitchen. The situation could have been handled better. In the end the only offer I got was reimbursement for the toilet paper which I didn’t take them up on. If you plan on relaxing outside at any point I wouldn’t stay here.

Great for everything!

This house was adorable! Great space, everything you need. The back yard was great also, our dogs loved it! They have lights around the porch that light up as you walk by the steps. Area lights up well if wanted. The kitchen had everything I needed. Loved the couch! Very roomy. Two rooms. One has double beds the other one doesn’t. The single bed wasn’t up to standards for my spouse. It was really hard and he didn’t like the bed so much. The other two beds are super soft. Overall great house! PERFECT FOR GIRLS WEEKEND! Just saying.
