Nice, quiet, and cozy place to stay. Comfy beds and clean rooms. Ample continental breakfast and good restaurants within walking distance. It’s an old house but is well kept and everything is in decent shape. Guests must carry luggage up one or two flights of stairs. Good value overall.

Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Listing and No Accountability I booked a full week at The Inn at Fox Meadow through Expedia, but never stayed a single night due to the condition of the property. After arriving late at night from an international flight, I found trash in the stairwell, an open room nearby with clothes all over the floor, and my assigned room — located in a hot, dirty attic — was nothing like what was shown online. I called the manager immediately and left a message, but received no response. I had to leave and book a nearby DoubleTree just to have a clean, safe place to sleep. Expedia contacted the manager on my behalf for a refund, but he refused. He later called me personally, was rude, and insisted he wouldn’t refund me “a dime.” I’m 76 years old and was not informed the room would require climbing three flights of stairs, which was not clearly disclosed on the site. I now understand why they don’t have a front desk or allow people to view rooms beforehand. This experience was stressful, costly, and completely unfair. Expedia should reconsider listing properties that treat guests this way. I would never recommend this place.

Continental breakfast and snacks were greatly appreciated. Place was very comfortable to stay at. House is a nice mix of very old with very new, which can be intriguing, confusing, or even scary for some (lol for those who watch too many movies). Some suggestions: Although was nice to have Amazon Fire TV, would also be great to have local OTA TV. This could be done simply by adding an HDTV antenna that can be bought on Amazon. I've done this at home and can receive many channels in high def, for free! Front door was reportedly left unlocked. Although there are clear and easy instructions for unlocking the automatic door locks, it would be good to also include instructions on how to lock them from the outside, as well as the expected behavior of these locks (ie. the locks will automatically lock after how many seconds, what LED light colors to expect (red locked, green unlocked) error lights and beeps, etc. A lot of the floorboards are creaky. Would be nice to get these screwed down or fixed in a way to make them quiet, so less likely to disturb others that are sleeping.
