Clean room, comfortable bed and pilows. Ample free parking. Usual fare for breakfast, decent quality. Had a ground floor room with patio door to the outside; convenient for those travelling with dogs or who have a lot to bring in.
We were greeted with a smile and the check in was quick and courteous. The rooms are very well kept and the cleaning staff were very pleasant. The parking lot does have a bit of a strange layout but after driving through it once it is really quite easy to navigate. The hotel is well located. Its close to food and shops plus it's only 3km from a park with great walking trails. Will surely stay here again.
My wife and I took a long weekend and decided to visit Fredericton. It turned out that the hotel is conveniently located and within easy access to local attractions, shopping and restaurants. We visited on a holiday weekend so the hotel was fully booked. Made the free breakfast busy so we opted to go to the neighbouring Burger King. Beef for breakfast. The room was clean and well maintained. Check in was easy and WiFi was not bad. Would I stay again, yes.
Exactly what you need and expect from a hotel--clean, comfortable, convenient. We were traveling with dogs and received a sweet welcoming packet, with treats and info on local dog amenities and services. Our second-floor room was at the end of the hall nearest the exit, but it was slightly inconvenient to take them up and down the stairs.
Comfort Inn is usually a good value short stay. Not impressed with this particular property. Upon arrival, needed to negotiate around large guest presence of motorbikers. Exterior of property had overflowing garbage cans at doors, not a good first impression. Front desk staff not happy to be there. Room overlooked doggie daycare camp. Between barking and motorcycles, not quiet. Basic room, asked housekeeping to skip us, came in as we were getting dressed. Skipped breakfast room and went to Sobey's market down the street to tide us over. Not a favorite stop!
Great hotel, with very pleasant and helpful staff. A little overpriced, but nice rooms and a decent continental breakfast included. Lots of parking, and easy access to stores and shopping. Air conditioner was quiet, so could leave it on all night.
The first night of a two-night stay in this hotel over the past weekend was very unpleasant. Upon entering the room, my boyfriend and I immediately noticed some not-so-welcoming features. Firstly, the room smelled like cigarettes. Secondly, the room was so damp, that the bed sheets felt wet to touch. The room had also clearly not been vacuumed and needed a little dusting too. We were sort of willing to tolerate these issues, until I went to use the bathroom, lifted the lid, and noticed that there was dried pee all over it. Yuck. I've honestly never had an experience like this in a hotel. All of the rooms I have ever stayed in have been spotless. The pee on the seat indicated to us that the toilet had obviously not been cleaned. If the toilet had not been cleaned how were we to know whether the bed had even been changed? We went to speak to someone at the front desk. The lady was nice and offered us a room on the first floor as a "free upgrade"; however, upon checking it out, we noticed that it had several of the same features that we did not like about the first room (extreme dampness, non-vacuumed carpet), so we asked the gal at the front desk if we could have our original room cleaned. We asked for this because at least then we would know that our room HAD actually been cleaned. The girl at the front desk said that she would have to clean the room herself, which we felt bad about, as it was almost certainly not her fault that our room had not been thoroughly cleaned; however, we also didn't want to stay in a dirty room. We went out to explore the city, and when we came back, the pee had been cleaned. The first night ended up being quite uncomfortable due to the dampness in the room, but the room was MUCH dryer on the second night, which made sleeping significantly more pleasant. The breakfast food is on par with what you would expect at a hotel, but the dining room is small for the number of people trying to use it. We ended up taking food to our room on both mornings. Choices for breakfast included yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, DIY waffles with various fix-ins, bacon (on the first morning), sausage (on the second morning), bread, English muffins, and a few different pastries. The tv in our room was a little fuzzy, but we didn't really mind, since it was clear enough to watch baseball. Although the first visit and night in the room were highly uncomfortable, we appreciate the front desk staff accommodating us. They were very helpful!
We arrived at this motel late afternoon and we were able to check in right away. When we made our booking we did not specify a ground floor unit. When we checked in we asked for ground floor and were told there were none available. We had to haul our suitcases to the second floor and there is no elevator. So if you are looking to book here make sure to ask for ground floor if it matters to you. The room was clean and comfortable but only one chair in the room which was at the desk, you had to sit on the bed to watch tv. Wifi was included. Bath towels in the bathroom were small and did not dry much. The beds were good for sleeping and it was a quiet hotel. Breakfast was also included and they provided a good selection of cereals, fruits, yogurts, muffins, hard boiled eggs, toast and coffee. The location of this hotel is good because it is not far off the Trans Canada highway. Did not have much interaction with staff other than check in and the staff was pleasant.
I've stayed at this location quite a few times for work. The rooms are clean and the staff are very nice. I definitely recommend this location for both business and vacation stay. They offer a complimentary breakfast which is always appreciated during travel.
Nothing bad about the place. You get what you pay for! The front desk agents always had a smile on their face and made us feel better after a tiring day. Breakfast was ok, nothing to boast about but the usual stuff you would expect from a budget hotel. All in all, a decent stay! A little expensive than the comfort inn but I would drive the extra minute to stay at the holiday inn express.
