The Humble Plum did not disappoint. It was larger than I expected from the listing photos. I and several friends all booked different cottages at Main Street Retreat and everyone complimented my selection in accommodations. From the easy parking, intimate pool and patio, to the quality of the rooms, we were all pleased with MSR. #6-Humble Plum itself was tastefully decorated, combining elegance and coziness. Loved having the Keurig stocked with supplies and access to nice glassware and small fridge in the kitchenette. The linens were nice quality, exceptionally clean and the bathroom a mini oasis. Will definitely look to stay here again.

You might want to check the AC. Several times every night it would sound like a slushy machine stirring almost completely frozen material. Very loud it would then calm down for a couple hours.

Cute place and this one had no common walls so was more like a cottage. Updated and comfortable. A bit farther down the Main Street but still an easy walk to get to city center. Plenty of parking and quiet area.

We really liked our little cottage. It has a huge bathroom and shower, really comfortable bed and two comfy lounge chairs. The fireplace was a bonus! We were just a few steps from the outdoor hot tub, where we could look up at the stars. Only things we didn't like: we could hear some traffic from our cottage from the main road and it was a little bit too far to walk to downtown. Everything else was wonderful!

Beautifully decorated. Area rug had no grip and recliner chairs were difficult to get out of. More rugs bedside had no grip. Bathroom was really nice. Air conditioning unit was loud on occasion. Overall a nice property.

Perfect location for the couples stay

This property is so well suited for a couples getaway. We are in our early 50's and had a blast. We met couples of similar age and we also met newlyweds in their 20's. It suits everyone!

The studio apartment was nice, but a little smaller than it looked in pictures. We had some trouble sleeping because the air conditioner didn't keep it cool enough. Other than that, we had a nice time in Fredericksburg.
