Super 8 Frederick

Excellent all around. Extremely nice room and bed. Only complaints - inconvenient parking and access, and breakfast not ready when advertised. Don't say breakfast starts at 6 when it doesn't. This costs us time, sleep, and inefficient planning.

for the price. I needed accommodations for 1 night on short notice. The price and rating (3+) were enough for me. The building interior shows signs of age yet remains clean. Room door hinge needs replacement. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean and I slept well. I awoke well rested for my engagement the following day.

Clean rooms, relatively large bathrooms, with free breakfast and wifi.

The facility was nice. Room clean & comfortable. Anything you need is nearby (restaurants, 24 hour convenience store, etc.). Parking right out front of lobby. Just off the interstate so there is some highway noise, but proximity to the interstate is a plus for me (its a Super 8, not a B&B in New England, lol). Very happy with this hotel, and we will use this facility again.

We needed a hotel that accommodated pets, so paid $80 + $25 for NON-refunable deposit. Got first floor room, but floors where cold tile (in case of pet accidents). We had no toilet paper in our room. The main, narrow lobby had a big screen tv, but watching was constantly interrupted by people coming in/out. It seemed to be more for the staff. Kids were playing on computers clearly marked for adults and with a dog without a leash! The night receptionist (male) was very unprofessional and not appropriately dressed. When I mentioned about the dog, he just down-played it. Nearby expressway was somewhat loud and views of truckstops. Breakfast choices were actually ok, although they kept running out of things.

I stayed at Super 8 - Frederick because the room rate was reasonable and I desired to spend some time in downtown Frederick for a couple of days (I walked via N Market St from the hotel, but I wasn't carrying much), plus I could drive up to Thurmont for a day on US Hwy 15 without changing hotels; also I could visit Washington D.C. by driving down to the Shady Grove metro station in Rockville, MD. Nothing especially notable about the hotel: there was some renovation going on downstairs; traffic noise from the nearby interstate is noticeable at night (but I had included a small white-noise machine in my luggage); one needs to use a vehicle to do any shopping from the hotel (unless to the adjacent Costco, I suppose).

The hotel was under construction, but was quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and courteous in dealing with unhappy guest. Good choices in restaurants nearby

Thought walking into town would be nice, but not very lit & Costco was under construction & made walking very treacherous.

Overall cleanliness of the hotel is not great (mold in the shower area, lots of stains in carpet). They make copies of your ID-- is it legal for them to do that. Even though the room is non-smoking, can definitely smell the smoke coming from hallway. Would not return nor would I recommend this hotel.

While the room was clean, the hotel was less than anticipated. The beds were not doubles but seemed to be large twins. The room was non smoking yet every comforter was burnt with multiple cigarette burns, not to mention the residual smoke smell. The vending machines wouldn't take paper money but were set up for debit/credit cards. I didn't trust them.

Nonsmoking room smells like ashtray! Hallways smells like pot. Blood stained mattresses Dirty sheets This place is full of hookers & drugs

It was a one night stay but I wouldn't want to stay there again. Rooms weren't clean, a/c didn't work well and the beds were terrible! The only thing good was the late check out and price for 1 night.

At first, I was off-put by the apparently resident children and the zombie-like staff. Once I made it to my room on the fourth floor, I was much more comfortable. Overall, this is a great value if you are looking for a place to get good rest.

No surprises. Consistent. While it is sometimes a little noisy from being so close to the highway, it is the proximity which makes it convenient for our quick, frequent trips to Baltimore.

It was easy check=in and check-out; desk staff were pleasant. Room was ok, everything worked (microwave, frig, TV). But there was a dead cockroach on the bathroom floor when I arrived.

Stuff from prior inhabitants in room - used towel, washcloth, refrigerator food, etc. The second day we had no soap.

Was a very nice relaxing stay. Easy check in and easy to shopping

Excellent price. Modest breakfast, but it worked. GPS does not really take you to right place. Better to call for directions.

a perfect stop between points A & B. Great value for the price.

We had a good time in the hotel. The parking was the problem. Limited parking, had to park in the grass at the curb. Room was clean, shower was great! Bed was comfy too.
