This is a serviced apartment block run on skeleton staff. I arrived late and had to wait 10 minutes for a grumpy security guard to come and let me in. In general clean, tidy and comfortable. Good cheap option for a longer stay in a convenient location.

The hotel is very close to the "Alte Oper" which is really in the centre of Frankfurt. I have chosen this apartment hotel because our new office is just 3 minutes away. The room have was very nice with bedroom incl. living room, kitchen, large bathroom and a balcony. The room was clean but unfortunately the wardrobe was pretty dusty. The internet was slow but still aceptable to work with. The room was very quite but there was noise coming from the toilet. Therfore I had to close the door in order to be able to sleep. What I found a bit disappointing is that there is no real breakfast. You can get coissants and coffee in the room where the reception is - not very big space and that's it. If you wish to have a lager breakfast you have to order it and get it collected at the reception. I prefer to rather go to a coffee shop and get my breakfast there. Also the reception is only busy between 8.00 and 19.00. If you need information outside this time range nobody can help you. For me it's still convenient and I could probably stay there again. But for foreign people who need some help or recommendations from the reception it might be difficult.

By far the worst place I've stayed in Germany. The idea of an apartment for a couple of nights sounds good; but when you arrive after a late night flight, and there's nothing to eat or drink and no one around to help you, it wears off quickly. To make matters worse, the hotel then proceeded to charge me three times for the same stay; it took well over two months to resolve this problem. My verdict; steer clear

I usually stay outside Frankfurt but wanted to be downtown this time. I like the apartment hotel concept and liked the flat I was given - large, with lovely balcony (perfect weather for it) and well equipped. Even a candle in a holder to have on my balcony table - though did not seem to have sugar for the tea/coffee. The decor in the flats is a little scuffed, - clean but a little worn - tear in the fabric of my couch, stain on the curtain. It's not a big chain hotel so you don't expect those facilities. Staff friendly and pleasant, - English not perfect, had difficulty giving me directions to walk where I was meeting colleagues. Reception only comes on at 8am - which was later than ideal to check out, but can be managed. Quiet location and good night's sleep. simple breakfast in reception - perfectly adequate. I would stay here again, especially for a longer stay.

To be honest, I would not stay in this 'serviced apartment' any longer longer if it wasn't for its location. The staff at the reception is not helpful, every request we made was declined and they show a 'I don't care attitude'. Housekeeping is understaffed and overworked leaving the apartment in the same condition as it was. We were welcomed by dirty dishes left from the previous guest, washing basins and bath tubs are per request only. The daily complementary bottle of water is not provided. The internet is a bad joke. They have something called a Telekom hotspot and that is the only way to get online - of of course for a fee which Telekom is charging. The connection is not stable and one gets disconnected after 8 mins. Try making a skype call.. They have 55 rooms and all share one washing machine and dryer. For a serviced apartment really unsatisfing. There is not restaurant or room service in the building and one has to go to the pubs and restaurants outside, but there you have great variarity. I lived in many serviced apartments and this one does not earn the word 'serviced'. It is just a bundle of furnished apartments under the same roof with arrogant and not helpful reception staff (available Mon-Fri only). I would not recommend this for long time stay. Very dissapointed with this experience.

I recently stayed at Ameron for 3 nights as I was on business in Frankfurt. The location is very good, as it is in the centre of business district. There are lots of restaurants/cafes on the main shopping area, and it is within 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment itself is huge, the one I stayed in, it has 2 balconies, one kitchen, one living room, one twin room, and a separate bathroom. I felt like home staying there, and they provide complementary coffee and a savoury breakfast, and offer to do your grocery shopping too. The receptionist is very friendly, and is always happy to help or answer any questions. The only downside is they have no free wifi. You would have to be a T-Mobile customer to use free wifi, or pay for it. I would go back though.

Just recently stayed at the Ameron die Welle for 10 days for business. My room was actually a small, apartment-like room, ,with a foyer, dining/living area, a small kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a balcony with a table and 2 chairs. I was very pleased with the room overall. The only drawback was that there was no air conditioning, and towards the end of my stay it was getting uncomfortably warm. One of the other drawbacks is that the "front desk" isn't open at all times as with most regular hotels, so I did have some trouble speaking with the staff during their office hours. This wasn't a major problem, but I feel it is something other travelers might want to know. There was daily housekeeping service, except on the weekends and holidays. The hotel has a great location for downtown Frankfurt am Main, very near the Old Opera house, and within walking distance of several restaurants in that area. I would definitely stay here again for business travel.
