I stayed at the QGreen just for one night while visiting friends in Frankfurt. The hotel is conveniently located near the Frankfurt trade-fair. Other than that I found nothing of interest within walking distance of the hotel. Upon arrival I was given a large suite instead of the single room I had booked. This happened because of renovations happening on two of the floors. Consequently I have nothing but praise for the room and the sleep quality. Also staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Now here are the downsides of the experience: Internet is painfully slow. To make things worse, you can only connect one device per room. And the amount of data is limited to 500MB. Everything else comes with an extra charge. Breakfast seemed awfully pricey at 18€ per person...so I skipped it. Parking in the hotel's garage is 22€ per 24hours, but there are parking options accross the street under the highway overpass. Hotel staff themselves assured me that it was safe to park there. To sum it up, I had a good but not a great experience at QGreen.
The hotel is a short walk to the Messe center (convention center) and is clean, basic, and staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is ok at best. TV channels not great so bring own entertainment. Air conditioning isn't very good and it gets hot at night in the rooms. Beds are just ok. Not much in the area to walk around but a 10 minute taxi rakes you to main shopping area which is nice, but many homeless, beggars, and squatters are in abundance (not near hotel but in shopping guide area). Worth the money as it is not expensive but don't have high expectations and you won't be disappointed.
Hotel magnetic door keys simply doesn't work. After trying 3 different cards had to use the master key in all stay. Booked with special reward bonus to bar and restaurants consumption. No one knew about it, and even doing consumption from mini bar I was charged because mini bar is not bar... The restaurant closes too early and no food is served in the rooms after it closes with no cafes or bars around. Doesn't worth the value... for the difference pleases prefer the other hotel across the street.
Recently spent some days for business reason. The big plus is the strategic position nearby the trade fair that can be reached in less than five minutes walking. Rooms are acceptable as comfort. Short impression is that the fares are way too expensive.
The above average hotel is extremely good for the Frankfurt Messe. The rooms are basic but ok. It is very hard to find a parking spot on the too full parking lot belonging to the hotel. Unfortunately the WiFi is free if you can live with a slow and limited connection, otherwise it will cost you at least 5 euro' sa day. Breakfast is ok.
The hotel is a genuine 4 star hotel, not more. Provides major necessities. Room has no safe deposit box and no coffee service. Room is quiet, bathroom clean with all amenities, comfortable with daily maid service. a reach breakfast buffet is served at the main restaurant who also serves at dinner a steak menu with good tasty dishes. The Bar is at the reception main entrance area. The hotel provides all necessary needs for the Messe visitor or if you are with your car. Otherwise the hotel is isolated and far from center activities of Frankfurt city.
Perfect for the Messe, just a short walk away. The restaurant and bar is very good, very good breakfast choices and bar staff super friendly. The room was a bit tiered and could do with renovation. Stains on carpet and walls. Very beige.... and old looking. Shaving mirrow fell off the wall due to loose fixings and smashed on the floor, luckely it didnt cut my food. But we were billed for it, which after questioning, as it was by no means our fault, got removed from bill.
First of all, our check-in was poorly done. I'm not sure if the lady on the counter was new, but she had checked in my colleague and when she was checking me in, she was asking for additional information and then saying "I need this from you as well" to my colleague. We weren't advised how to log into the wifi, so we assumed it was simple. It wasn't and we had to go back to reception to find out, when we were given a piece of paper with the login details, which we should have been given before. When I saw my room, the coffee machine had no instructions, but my colleagues room did, and I had no tissues (not toilet paper), but my colleague did. We decided to have dinner inside the hotel, and to have a drink at the bar first. My wine took about 10 minutes to be poured and my colleagues gin and tonic about 15 minutes after that, as the gent serving us wandered off to help other guests. When he came back, the ice he had put into my colleagues glass had melted quite a lot, so he put his ungloved fingers over the ice and poured the excess water away, and continued to serve her drink as though he had been gone for 2 seconds. When we moved into the restaurant for dinner, we were given the menus and told the specials. We couldn't see anything we liked on the menu, and noticed that other guests were helping themselves to a buffet. We asked the waiter what was happening and he said that they had a buffet - no mention of this before, or how much it was. We chose the buffet and, service aside, the meal was enjoyable. When it came to booking a taxi, the "digital taxi service" in the lobby was nowhere to be seen. It turns out this is simply a system they use on the front desk. So it was misleading to us when the system that they use to order a taxi was mentioned when booking a room. The taxi took a while to get there (this is not the hotels fault), but when a few arrived, we were trying to find out which taxi was ours. There was a communication issue as myself and my colleague do not speak German and we asked the front desk for help, but they just stayed in the hotel, so we were left to translate for ourselves. Overall, the hotel looks lovely and the food and rooms are great, but the staff really let it down. There were no smiles from the front desk and the time to wait for a drink was appalling, with no apology. Needless to say, we will not be returning again, there are plenty of hotels round the Messe Frankfurt area that seem to have far better customer service.
Nice, clean hotel. The breakfast is good and the location (Messe is 10 minutes walk away) is great for business trips. High-speed internet is $1/hour, which is not bad. However, 4-stars is an exaggeration, the rooms are rather small, with not even a coffee maker or safe. The service at the bar and restaurant is very good (for European standards; don't expect N American pleasantries and care). Good for Messe business trips. Especially, if you book late and there are no other better options
Location not the best as it's a little walk to the station. There was a major shortage of plug sockets in the room. No tea facility, iron or safe in the room. The duvet was not on correctly on the bed either. On a good note the staff at the reception desk were helpful, it's got a nice bar and restaurant. Very clean bathroom in the room.
