Neither good, nor bad, close to the Messe, typical clean budget Novotel. Within a 15 minute walk to the U-Bahn which takes you all over the City. Has a pool, so good for kids. On-site private, but insecure parking.
Nice hotel, nice room, nice lobby, great breakfast. But the best was the friendly team that took care of us and lots of other guests without being stressed. Congrats to this team! We will definitely come back!
I just returned home after a nights stay at this hotel and the experience was so nice that I had to write a review immediately :) Normally when we stay in Nürnberg, we stay at the Carlton. However we were late in booking our stay this time and since the Carlton was full, we decided to try out the Novotel. We've had mixed experiences at the Accor Group of Hotels before so weren't quite sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. The young man at the reception (unfortunately didn't get his name), was not only very professional but also very nice and friendly. We travel a lot and know that service in hotels in Germany is not always very friendly - professional yes but often very curt and to the point. Which was not the case here - the young man at the reception ensured that we were greeting very warmly. The room was very nice, clean and modern. Wifi worked very well. Service staff at the breakfast in the morning were equally professional and warmly welcoming. Although the breakfast room was very full and busy being a Sunday morning, they remained calm, friendly and professional. We will definitely return to the Novotel the next time - it is very rare to experience such warmth and professionalism in hotels here in Germany.
Hi have booked this hotel in advance for Easter holidays and was very much surprised in a possitive way. While arriving to the hotel you may comfortably park just next to the main entrance (for fee). The hotel does not look any special from the outside, but the inside is great, modern and fashionable. Good service, great location (used underground transportation around the city, just 5 minutes walk fromm the hotel with direct access to the city center) decent room settings. Most probably will come back.
arrived late on friday 24th feb...from the moment i arrived the staff were very freindly and efficent.the room was spotless and comfortable.I needed and iron and ironing board and it arrived within 2 minutes of me calling reception! breakfast was very good with a great selection. i would definately stay there again
We came here again because we really loved it the first time. It's in walking distance to the Cincetta amongst other things like night life and some restaurants. We were with another couple and this time upgraded to Executive suites with "free mini bars" - So we requested to be next to each other but that didn't happen because we were late arrival around 8pm, so we were down the hall from each other. The mini bar was only soda, bubble water... and one beer. Thats it. We were very disappointed to say the least. We took our one drink downstairs to the lobby and were told we couldnt drink it in the bar area. So we had to drink it in front of the elevators in order to sit down. We had a nice night at the bar before leaving for the movies, and in the wee hours we were tipsy enough to sleep in the next morning. The next morning we were disturbed three times. Once at 800am ..im guessing cleaning staff who woke us up.. and as they entered our room we shouted we are in here! Then we fell back asleep. Second time was at 0900 knocked once and woke us up and entered again we were in our personals yelling we are in here! trying to figure out the lock..... Im guessing cleaning staff again, . fell back asleep. and AGAIN at 10am by the mini bar restocker. Where i finally opened the door with a blanket and said " this is the third time, where is this DO NOT DISTURB card!?" she apologized and said she was just the restocker. Now, I understand i could have put a do not disturb placard on my door, wherever it was. Thats what they are for... but why is check out at NOON time and I am being hounded my cleaning staff and such in the morning? Isn't there time after check out to do this. Maybe have a list of other people's rooms who checked out in the wee hours of the morning and clean those first?? Three times? Check out was a breeze for us. Our friends who met us down there at noon time were told they had a breakfast charge on their room which wasnt so because we all woke up very late. Just wondering where they would get this buffet charge from if no one actually went to the buffet? Unless another person lied and put in on their room. But even so, where is the accountability. They took off the charge after telling them there was no way they could have went to the buffet. I like the hotel, the location, and would stay there again. for a third time.... but next time Im finding that darn card before i go to sleep. and putting it on the door, and maybe even giving a wrong room number to see if i can get a free breakfast ;) :)
Quite a small hotel that's modern and friendly. Child friendly with free pram available at reception that was very handy as ours broke. They also have toy corner at reception near the bar so you could have a drink while the kids play. Good breakfast buffet. Taxis easily accessible and it's about a 15-20 min taxi ride to the city (Altstadt) or you can catch the train at the Expo centre. There are parks nearby with playgrounds and behind the Expo centre is the Nazi Rally grounds and the Zeppelin field which is all situated in a lovely park on a lake.
Outwardly , the hotel looks like a motel but once you order a sit down dinner meal at the Novo2 restaurant omg , it feels like you are at a 5 star diner . The spa upstairs is tiny and unisex if you don't mind . What I really like about the room is that there's a tub to soak in . Discovered that the staff from breakfast one minute were struggling to lug down our heavy bags for us next . Really appreciate that they work behind the scenes without complaining or a black face . Then I bumbled up with the safe and the response was instantaneous . Very dependable hotel . I will recommend this place if you can get transportation in and out .
We have spent here two days on weekend with family (two babies) and it was a nice stay. Room was relatively large but due to the bed-couch it was quite tight. We have had a normal double bed (140cm) and a bed-sofa. Heating was working good, room was quite, good isolated (although a busy street was in the neighborhood), large and modern flat TV, water boiler, fridge. Bathroom was large, comfortable, clean and tidy. Very kind, friendly and helpful personal. Fast free internet and large parking slot (not very cheap) but I think you could park in the neighborhood free of charge. The location is practical, around 5km south from the Nuremberg city center, approx.. 10 minutes walk from the Messe/expo U-bahn/underground station. The lounge with bar and play-corner was beautiful, elegant and modern, nicely decorated with Christmas-trees. As we haven´t had breakfast I cannot judge, but with 17EUR/person/day was quite costly. Good value for money, thus I highly recommend this hotel.
I spent one night there for the SPS Drive fair and I was quite satisfied. They helped me as I arrived early (morning) to get a room and keep my luggage. Te hotel is at walking distance from the fair, saving taxis costs and time. I took a decent breakfast but didn't try the restaurant for diner
