The Del Rey Hotel has good accommodations, very clean, the front desk attendants are kind and give all the informations you need. Great air conditioning, enough tv cable channels Great breakfast with lots of variety. One special attention to the cleaner Isaura who leaves beautiful and funny towel animals.
A standard hotel, ok beds and shower, good breakfast, easy free parking. Busy but friendly front desk staff. Good price and value, walking distance to a nice bakery and restaurants. I would return if I came back again.
Enjoyed this hotel over two nights on a GAdventure tour. Room is clean, modern, and comfortable. Staff at reception and tour office were very nice and helpful. Nice coffee shop next door to the left. Big grocery store out the front door to the right four blocks. Next hotel on the right has a gift shop. If visiting the falls make sure you buy your souvenirs at their gift shop there since there isn’t a gift shop here. Good breakfast on first floor. Fast WiFi. Ok pool on fifth floor.
As soon as our taxi pulled up here I knew we were in for a treat. Located in a central part of the town, we were all checked in quickly with my room on the 2nd floor (1st floor for other countries). Three single beds with two of them Pushed together made it comfortable. Flat screen tv with only CNN as English speaking channel. Bar fridge well stocked. Safe available for valuables. No toiletries but there was soap in the shower plus hair dryer. Air conditioning was a blessing. Had my washing done here and very reasonably priced - returned in 24 hours. Breakfast was amazing. Whatever nationality or dietaries - you’re covered. He juices, teas, hot food, breads, cakes, and toppings were all good. Couldn’t fault it. Please don’t take food from the restaurant though. It’s well sign posted that you’ll be charged if you do. There is a rooftop pool, bar and billiard room so take advantage of that as well. Very quiet at night. Signs around asking people to respect the peace of others after 10pm. This place is so cool it has a chapel, elevators, extra toilets downstairs, waiting area in foyer with comfy chairs and tv plus when you walk along the darkened hall at night, the lights are automatically triggered. I felt very safe in this hotel and transport was easy to get around along with many local bars and restaurants within walking distance . Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Wifi excellent. Laundry service. Adair f out the front if you want to watch the world go by. Staff are superb with good English, Spanish as well as their own Portuguese. Highly recommend. OS - I drank the two water with no issues
Popular hotel to base yourself for tours to the Iguassu Falls (20 minutes to the Brazil side), rooms are a reasonable size and clean. Air conditioning unit in the bedroom blows straight across the bed so can be draughty. No aircon in the bathroom. Paragua is about 3 blocks away. Hotel travel desk wanted 250 pesos (about £50) to take us there by taxi for an hour. Hotel reception (20 feet away) offered the same trip for 180 pesos (about £35). Went to the pool instead. No evening meals but there are coffee shops and a steak restaurant on the same block. Impressed with the towel folding!
The Del Rey offers a basic, clean room with a comfortable bed and spacious shower. The hotel is a pick-up location for tours to Iguaçu Falls and is within walking distance of a huge supermarket with a functioning ATM. The best thing about it is the excellent and friendly customer service, and for those of us whose Portuguese is challenged, there are English-speaking employees who eagerly resolve any of your issues. The typical Brasilian café da manhã (breakfast) is outstanding, with dozens of selections of breads and juicy tropical fruits, and the coffee is excellent. The price of your stay is reasonable. Our American equivalents should model themselves after this excellent hotel!
They have all you need for a stay with no luxury, awesome breakfast, comfortable bed and rooms, swimming pool, parking lot, very friendly and helpful staff, and you get it all for a very realistic price . I would definitely stay at Del Rey again.
We stayed here on a visit to both sides of Iguazu falls and this hotel was in a perfect location for them and for popping into town. We had a room on the top floor, right next to the pool, which was a great space to relax and cool down. Our room, although small, was perfectly fine for a few nights. It was clean, had a fridge and table set and a very comfy bed. Breakfast was fab and the lady who saw you to your table was most welcoming and friendly. As other reviews have stated, yes there were a lot of cakes on offer, but there was also a lot of other things to choose from too, so it was not a problem. Front of desk staff were always keen to help and chat. The in-house travel agent was also really friendly and we used them several times for info. We were never pressured into actually purchasing any trips from them. Thanks for a great stay
Good location - walking distance to a range of restaurants - safe, clean and friendly staff. Basic rooms but everything you need and really good value for money. The staff are excellent, from the front desk to the room maid. I don't know if they all do the same but Monica, our maid, had formed our towels into the shape of a pair of swans and bedding into the shape of an elephant ( see photo) which made us laugh out loud. I would highly recommend the tours ( which frankly is something I rarely do) : we did the bird sanctuary, dam and the falls on a day long tour and it was really, really good. Excellent and helpful guide - Arnaldo - who got us through the queues and generally helped to make it a truly memorable day. We also used the hotel car service to get to the airport on the Argentinian side. Really nice guy who smoothed the way through both Brazilian exit and Argentina entry. Excellent value for money all round.
Upon arriving to the hotel, the entrance didn't really blow me away.. it looked small however once you're in, it stretches further back and is actually quite big! The room was airy, clean and spacious. Thank goodness there was AC, the room got quite stuffy without it. The tiles throughout the hotel were a nice touch, breakfast was plentiful.. a great variety of juices, fruit, cakes, bread, tea etc. WiFi was very reliable. Really enjoyed my stay here.
