Staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and the food is fantastic, one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.Hotel is in a stunning location too
This is a charming historic building and our room was lovely! The best part was our gin tasting! Our host was so knowledgeable and helpful! I cannot spell his name however he is the distiller and a treat!
Super attentive staff, someone always around to help. Calm and peaceful atmosphere, so so quiet. Room was great but we especially loved the surroundings - Loch Leven with the stars out was unforgettable.
Friendly staff and in a lovely location. My room was warm and cosy with a view of the water.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Room spotless, public areas lovely, exterior and views beautiful. Staff courteous & friendly. Could change their way of dressing though. Very casual & looked like other guests. We had a lovely stay.
Had a lovely overnight stay in mid February 2026. Lovely family run hotel, gorgeous scenery, delicious food and wonderful warm staff made for the most delightful stay. Staff very welcoming to children. Great gluten free and vegetarian meal choices at the restaurant along with a good priced children’s menu. Our family room had a very generous queen sized bed (? may have been king sized) and a sofa bed. Well priced for Valentines weekend. Would definitely stay again

We had a lovely stay!! The staff was great and very accommodating. The room was small, but cozy and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfortable.
Nice big clean room. Access to a lovely 400 year old ferry bar. Slightly odd attitude from staff including a query about going out for a cigarette or to our car at night - we were told the external doors would be locked - from a receptionist sitting with wet hair in his boxer shorts ... so overall quirky but fine.
We had two rooms for our family and they were both very comfortable. Nice hot showers, good heating, and very clean. We also had both our breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant for two days and they were excellent. We had a variety of dietary needs and everyone had delicious choices. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Overall we would highly recommend a stay!
Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly. The views were spectacular as well! Beds were comfy and rooms extremely clean. I would highly recommend this place.
