Background of property- This location was built by a few airmen in the 1950’s. They then added on to the property in the 70’s. This location has the original owners and have been passed down through generations. It’s a great family fun spot.

House Rules



Reservations made for teenagers or young single groups will not be honored without any accompanying adult staying in the unit at ALL times. We require at least one member of the party to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age. No smoking/no pets. Be respectful of the house and contents - it is someone's home. Respect the neighbors and neighborhood. No parties, events or smoking of any kind.



This property sleeps 4 people!!! If we determine you have more than 4 people, we will charge a fee of $100 per person, per night.



Parking: You may park anywhere around the building. There is parking at the front of this unit. It is prohibited to park boats, motor homes or travel trailers in this parking lot.

Our properties come with freshly laundered linens and towels, a starter supply of dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and facial tissues; along with a welcome amenity kit of bathroom supplies.

I have stayed in the Bayou Dwellers Cabana Colony before. I love the location. It is close to all my favorite places. I can park and be steps away from the room and the beautiful beach. I always wish I could stay longer!! I appreciated the items there that could be used if our grandchildren would have been with us and the items for use in the kitchen.

This place was just the right size for me and my teenage son. It was so nice to walk right out the door onto the beach! I didn’t even bother putting on sandals. The Murphy bed was a great solution for the small space. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Will stay again!

I’m so glad we found this hidden place. It was nice, clean and quiet. The beach was within feet away. So it wasn’t bad hauling all of our beach supplies. I would recommend this place to anybody. We will be back next summer!

Loved that the place had all essentials for water fun (beach chairs, umbrella/toys/buckets/boogie boards) as well as kitchen supplies. Love how you can just walk straight out to the beach easily.

Beach Front Gem

I reserved 4 nights for my 2 grandchildren and me to spend time together and to enjoy the beach. The cabana, while small, had everything we wanted and needed to make our stay comfortable and fun. For our use, the host provided coolers, chairs, water toys, and beach towels...amazing! We also loved the use of the pool next door and the pizza at the pool bar was yummy. I would return to the cabana on Okaloosa Island again and again!

Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends

This location could not have been more perfect for our group- literally just a few steps before our feet were in the sand! The Beach Pizza stand next door offered a wonderful meal and we happily cooked simple meals for the rest of the stay. Communication was great and we enjoyed our time together immensely. We will certainly be back!!!
