I inquired about cancelling my reservation with Orbitz on an online chat- saying DO NOT cancel I would just like to inquire about a refund. I was told I would be charged full rate regardless if I cancelled because I missed the cancellation cut off. When I arrived for my stay Orbitz had cancelled my reservation and the check in desk took at least 20 min to check us in. The hotel has renovations going on- zero amenities available, and the lobby looks like a storage facility. It was so loud at check in we couldn’t hear a word the attendant was saying and then she was upset at us because we weren’t talking loud enough. I also booked with Orbitz last weekend at another property and have since noticed they have double charged me- I guess I get to waste my time on that next. No more Orbitz/Expedia for me... and definitely never looking at Hotel Indigo in Ft Myers again!

Location to Centennial Park made it our choice for Bacon Jam!

Spacious! Got the larger room with sofa, pleasantly large room & large spacious well laid-out bathroom. Good home base to explore different parts of this beautiful coastline (from Siesta Key to Sanibel to Naples). 25 minutes to get back to Ft Myers airport. Very smooth. Art walk night downtown on first Friday of month - free music - hotel in perfect location .

Great location. Our room was enormous and the walk in shower was huge! We enjoyed our stay.

Staffed with super folks . What a pleasure! They were very accommodating.

Great place to stay in downtown Ft. Myers FL. Beautiful views and very comfortable.

Great downtown location. Cheap parking in the adjacent parking garages. Will stay there again.

Paid over $300 per night for a room...a bit pricey. The problem is air conditioners in this room. They are in the wall, and are very loud. The staff was very helpful in trying to move me to another room, but ALL the rooms shown to me have the same A/C (some were louder). I have stayed at Motel 6's with quieter wall A/Cs. Spoke to manager of hotel who did nothing to adjust the bill, and said that because I booked through Orbitz, I needed to call them. Then, I called Orbitz for help....they referred me BACK to the hotel. Suffice to say, nobody did anything. Do not stay at this hotel if you value a quiet room. If you want quiet, the A/C has to be off....that's the choice. I would not want book with Orbitz again because they were powerless to do anything in this situation.

The hotel canceled a 4-night reservation without notifying me or Orbitz. Nothing like trying to check in at 10:45 pm to find out they canceled you a week prior. It is a great hotel, but this was a major blunder without even a call or an apology. I have learned my lesson and will always double check reservations now.

After busy day of appointments it's nice to park the car and walk downtown Ft. Myers. Good restaurants and Art galleries along with river views. Always my 1st choice to stay when I visit the area.

We had to valet because we didn't know the area, it was $18 and when we got the car the next day it was covered in something like vomit, the front desk manager refused to give us our money back and all she could do was give us a bucket of water and two rags for us to clean the car ourselves. Jessica refused to give me a card to contact the GM, she finally agreed to give me her name; I've called the hotel several times to report this woman and her attitude towards guests, I got the name of an assistant GM and when I called again to try and speak to them, Jessica answered the phone, she realized it was me, and she told me she was the assistant, she's not only not willing to help but she is always a liar. It's a shame because we loved the area and the hotel but we won't be coming back at all.

Great location in downtown Fort Myers. Walking distance to cute shops and restaurants. Short drive to the Edison Museum.

The hotel lobby was charming and cute, old fashioned. We were surprised to find the lobby staff dressed in yoga pants and sweatshirts. No need for a full tux or evening gown, but our expectations immediately plummeted. The room was clean, though, and nicely laid out. Location was GREAT, walking distance to the little downtown area with several food options and bars. We were disappointed that that pool closed pretty early and for some reason we had the impression that the upper patio had more nightlife than it did, but you could get a drink and hang out in the small deck. We had a laugh at the Phitness Center...no joke...it was spelled that way. Our experience was overall pleasant and while it might not be the place you rave about it was a nice stay.

I traveled for business and loved being the the heart of Fort Myers

We stayed at this hotel for one night and it was nice. The rooftop pool was small and didn't get good sunlight. The hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were clean. They were not flexible on check-in times, but were happy to store our bags for us so that we could walk around without the extra weight. As far as the river district in Ft. Meyers - it's not too exciting. If you are flexible in where to stay, head out to the islands/beaches. Ft. Meyers itself is a bore.

It was not a new or renovated hotel like other hotel indigos I have been to. It was fine, but not what I was expecting.

Thank you for your candid review. We apologize for the confusion. The third party did contact us to cancel without penalty which we approved since they informed us that you where seeking to cancel. We are happy that our agent was able to assist you with reinstating your reservation. Sometimes that does take a bit of time to ensure we process the correct payment to avoid billing our guests incorrectly. We hope you will give us a chance once our renovations are complete. Safe travels!
