Ok for the time we were there. If you have a third person staying in the room, they need a better pull out couch.

The positive reviews about this dump must have been written by their relatives. The first room had a toilet that overflowed with fecal matter on the floor. I was given a plunger to fix it and an offer for the maud to use bleach when washing the floors. I got another room that at least the toilet worked. This place is 1950's with a small flat screen TV. IF YOU USE RGE GKASSES OR VIFFEE CUPS IR DUSHES, you're expected to wash them. They do advise that they are not required to use Statenif Florida sanitation standards. How nice of them. All this luxury for $120.00 a night! Avoid at all costs. Horrible, no other words to describe it.

Older hotel but did at least expect WiFi in the room and updated furniture. Bed was very uncomfortable, but clean bed clothes and room was clean. Staff was friendly but no extra attention or follow-up during our stay. This place could use a facelift!

We loved the hotel! We spent a lot of time there. We ate and had cocktails on the deck, kayaked, used the pool, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall location and being on the water were the best things about this resort. Resort is very old and could use some updating. Carpet in our room was very dirty and certainly needed a cleaning or removal and tile would be better. Beds were comfortable and bathroom adequate. I normally expect a 3 star hotel like a Holiday Inn to have a restaurant on site and be rather immaculate and updated. We did not use the pool or boats but the pool looked nice. Unit had a small kitchen with full size refrigerator and towels were changed, garbage removed and beds were made daily. We stayed here because we did not plan to be at the resort much and it was cheaper than the beautiful Weston.

this was a relaxing place,, never over crowded. room was comfortable. wish there was a continental breakfast included, but had a nice kitchen in the guest suites with all dishes included. I would go back to this resort in the future.

we were only there for a few days but the hotel was all we needed. if your looking for large inner city style this isnt for you but if you want a realistic feel of the community this is the place

Loved this place. Located in a very quiet area with beaches not too far away. Pet friendly. Awesome staff. Will definitely visit again.

Pleasant staff, clean rooms, good location, nice pool with Frank Sinatra type music. The only complaint would be that window air conditioners are too loud unless you like white noise. Would stay here again when in Cape Coral. Great location.

pet friendly, clean, great staff, would recomend to anyone, will stay again

The staff here was a1, the room clean and comfortable. I didn't expect a palace so I was o.k. with the room. we got the smallest one this time but next time ( and I'm sure we'll return) we'll get a suite. Well worth the money. Budget friendly. : )

it is the perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place

Location: The hotel is located in a residential area. When you pull up there is no sign of water anywhere however there is a small canal behind the hotel that leads to open water. We did not like the location though we decided to tough it out (wine) and make the best of it rather than ask for a refund. Staff: Obviously a privately owned establishment. They were friendly enough but check-in had an odd flow. It appeared to be a family endeavor with grandma living on the bottom floor with a cage full of parakeets. Cleanliness: As out of date as the room was (circa 1970) cleanliness seems to go hand in hand. The room did not have a clean feel. Summary: If you can't afford better and you want a place with a kitchen then this may be your place. It is old and run down. In comparison, we stayed at a beach condo the night before we stayed at the Hideaway and paid an additional $20 to get a room with a gulf and granite everything. Just sayin...

Room air conditioner was so noisy that we stayed awake the whole night. Bed too short for me. Next morning at 7:30 we checked into another hotel because there was no one in the office to complain about until we returned to pick up our suitcases and return the keys (which had to be giggled in the lock the first night for 20 minuets before it opened, office closed, no emergency number shown). Will never use a mom & pop operation again.

We chose to spend our Memorial Day weekend at Sanibel Island in the last minute. We found Hideaway Resort at Cape Coral in the last minute [...]. When we first arrived and looked at the place from the outside we were a little disappointed, because it looked a little bit old. But the owner [...] made us feel very welcome and showed the place around. The rear of the property is extremely beautiful with a nice canal on which you can do boating or canoeing. These are available for free. Both [...] and later [...] helped us get on the boat. [...] also advised us on eating options in the area. The rooms on the inside are extremely clean and tidy and have everything that our family of 6 needed. This is not a high end place but it makes up for it in terms of cleanliness and practicality. There are good restaurants within 2-3 mins drive from the place and it is in a very nice neighbourhood. I do think we will return to this place again. Our son enjoyed swimming in the pool. The drive to Sanibel and Captiva took us around 35 mins from the hotel and we had a very memorable holiday.

The owner was friendly and helpfull. He upgrade my room at no extra charge. Will go back there again...

This hotel was very disappointing. Please think twice before booking this hotel.

[...] run an excellent hotel and definitely have our vote for Florida resort owners of the year. They made our St. Valentines week stay very peaceful & relaxing. They'll lend you their bicycles, Kayaks and I would imagine anything else you need if they had it! We'll be back to the Hideaway again, next time we need to get away from the cold & snow & recharge our batteries. Get a suite if you can, it's well worth the few extra dollars.

The Hideaway is a clean and comfortable resort. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They have lots to do; kayaking, biking, grilling, swimming, and sunning. Several excellent restaurants are nearby.

[...] and [...] work hard to maintain a comfortable throwback full service hotel. They had kayaks to paddle the canals of Cape Coral. Unfortunately I was not able to partake on this trip. And hosted BBQs i the evenings. The deck was a pleasant place to sit in the evening and catch up on business.Free internet worked well ands allowed business to be completed.
