Our family reserved 4 rooms for Friday night at the start of spring break. Our flight was due to arrive after 11:30 pm so we called the front desk to let them know. The staff person said they would wait until midnight for us. We split up as soon as we landed so that two of us could make that deadline and check in for the whole group. When we got there, the front office/entrance was locked and dark. We called the "emergency number" posted on the door but no one answered, nor responded to our voicemail. We were stranded! We had 10 people ranging in age from 12 to 83 years old. It was awful. We ended up spending the next hours calling hotel after hotel, getting more and more anxious, because everyone was booked. We hold Hotelos responsible for this and the staff who told us directly that they would be available until midnight. We hold Hotelos responsible for posting an emergency number to which no one responded. We hold Hotelos responsible for the additional money spent on transportation. We were not the only people in this situation that night. Please be aware that a late check-in is absolutely not possible and the staff are likely to make promises they will not keep.
