Although the location is amazing, we were the happy winners of the studio located in the parking lot. We paid full price for 4 stars, yet the studio was at the most 2. Between our hallway and the neighbors there was a bookcase ( I kid you not), the bedroom was one broken bed and just one nightstand (and that was the entire room), the walls were cracked, we had bars at the windows and door and everything was obsolete and should have been taken out of use a long time ago. The garbage was taken just once in 7days and by the looks of the entire place, this studio was actually an old laundry room. Being in the parking lot also meant that the people parking could easily see in our room. I leave you with the pictures so that when you book it, make sure you don't end paying 4 stars for a dump.
PROS: - The residence is well located. - Clean and comfy apartment - Helpful staff CONS: - We were given a room facing the street and it was pretty noisy at night. We solved it by turning on the AC to cover the street sounds.
Bugs, dirty sheets, dark and dirty washroom under a staircase.. If that's what you like, go here. Other wise.. Go anywhere else and it'll be better. Tip, this is not a "hotel" it's a rental apartment. If you booked this place through HotWire, you will definitely get the basement unit would is a 1 or 2 star dungeon of a place. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, book another place and NEVER book through Hotwire.
DO NOT book this hotel especially if it is through a discount website. I booked my room through hot wire, it was advertised as 4 star but it really is more of a 1-2 star. It's not even a hotel! It's a service apartment that hasn't been serviced for 30 years. No one comes to clean your room. When I asked for extra toilet paper, the person came to my room and left my door UNLOCKED , my room is on the ground floor of a busy street. Someone had to just push the door to get in the UNLOCKED door! The bed sheet is so gross I can't even use the blanket. The bathroom is so gross I have to put my toiletries back into my luggage each time to keep it clean. The walls are so thin, the person next door to me seems like they are in my room. The sad thing is, I booked this hotel for my honeymoon, and I told them too...And this is the "beautiful" room they gave me. Imagine if it wasn't your honeymoon, what room will they give you? Save your money and vacation trip don't stay here at all cost.
A two bedroom apartment was booked here for us through cit holidays. The description of the property was a complete misrepresentation. Furniture is shabby, sofa bed barely fit an 8 year old and when extended left little room in the 'nice cosy living room'. With the 'sofa' used as a bed, that left a couple of wooden chairs to sit on (there were five of us). Shower is 60x60cm (we measured it). The child could just about fit in the shower. Roof terrace was dirty, had no furniture and an alarm went off every time you went on it. We left after one night, taking a loss of four nights paid accommodation rather than staying in this dump.
We stayed here for a few nights and while the large size rooms are basic, they are certainly clean. An easy 30 minute steady walk to the centre of town gig you into the action. With lots of Christmas festivities in Florence, the walk to and fro was lovely. Easy to find via car with the GPS with no driving restrictions that are in place closer to city centre.
The hotel is located quite centrally, very close to a big street where most tourist buses dropped of their passengers. It is a 10 minute walk to many of the attractions of Florence. Our apartment had a living room with kitchenette, a moderately sized bedroom, and a tiny bathroom located under the stairs of the apartment next door. In the tiny room between the bedroom and the bathroom, there was an incredibly thin wall separating our apartment from the neighbor, which made it sound like the neighbor was in the room with us, both in the bedroom and in the bathroom. This was not attractive at all. Apart from that, the apartment was averagely pleasant. The staff was a bit hard to get in touch with, but helpful enough. Also, they did not have much information about how to get around in town.
This is my first time in this residence and I'm looking forward to come back. Location is excellent, very close to the centre, there's a private parking available for customers (but I suggest public transport to visit the city, lots of restaurants in the nearby (it's in Italy, what do you expect?) and the staff helped us a lot for our trip. Building isn't the newest or stunning, but a very good solution to visit this beautiful city staying just few steps from the centre
Were pleasantly surprised by our rooms. They were spacious and the kitchenette well stocked with everything needed. Bedrooms were good too. Terrific view of River Arno and Ponte Vecchio and walking distance to all the sights, museums, Uffizi, Piti palace etc etc. The concierge was very friendly and she helped with bookings to the aforesaid plus assisted with other information. If you want a moderately priced place without the restrictions of small rooms and location to all the sights this residence/hotel fits the bill . Would stay there again.
The price is right, the room was spacious and included a kitchenette with all the tools for making your own food. Location was great in terms of being out of the press but still absolutely accessible. The staff were friendly, but you only see them on check in and check out. No cleaning of the rooms during the stay as far as I know, but again it absolutely has a charm to it for certain travelers. Small shower
