We got a big apartment on the ground floor , if you have a car then location might not be a problem . Otherwise it's quit far from the main station. Kitchen is good and you have clean it on your own. Only thing which I don't like was that we were not even given 15 mins more to check out 11 means 11 for them . For food try Fc kebab just opposite to the hotel very delicious kebabs n few Indian snacks too..
One receptionist was tremendously helpful and sweet however, the two after were not. As we are American's who live in Italy, we are fairly used to some of the nuances that make up cultural differences, however, this hotel had more than what was acceptable. Not only did the hotel advertise that they charged extra for more toilet paper, the receptionist lied about not recieving a reservation for breakfast on one day, and then claimed that they had called and called our room to complain that we were not there for said breakfast and that they had to charge us anyway (breakfast is not worth 9.50 euro a day). The rooms are not what are advertised on the website and 15 euro per day for a parking space is also a bit extreme.
I chose this place despite the mixed reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern building and facilities, in stark contrast to the surrounding area. Had a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 people, small kitchen on the side complete new cookware and kitchenware, small ref, bathroom with an enclosed shower. Room was clean and serviced daily. Beds were firm. Only downside were the flat thin pillows which should be replaced. Had the continental breakfast with an array of breads, jams, yoghurt, juice, some fruits and coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful when asked. Nearby carrefour is permanently closed. Closest supermarket is several blocks away; walkable. Laundry facilities within walking distance. We ate in the nearby Da Tito restaurant which was open till late and served good food. Paid carpark is available.
Firstly let me say this hotel offers apartments, even if you book a double room it will have a kitchen in it, this can be unlocked for you for €10 a night. The room was clean but dated with a huge bed. The bathroom was a pleasant shade of eye burning orange but was also clean and proper. The balcony was lovely, it was in the shade in the morning and had a table and chairs which I ate my breakfast at everyday and watched the apartments across the road wake up. The kitchen was functional, with a large fridge, two burner hob, oven and sink. It is a perfectly nice studio that's cheap. Now for the bad things, the air conditioner was incredibly unreliable and at times quite worrying as it sputtered and groaned. And the temperature control for it is practically non existent, arctic or turned off seemed to be it's only settings. The room was very noisy, I'm not talking hear your neighbours noisy I'm talking main road with constant congestion outside your front door noisy. Ambulances, beeping horns and screeches all day thankfully quieting down to just the sound of cars at night. Even the doors were noisy, opening the bathroom emitted a loud clunk that woke everyone. The staff were mostly very lovely apart from the person who checked us in who must have been having a bad day since he seems very fed up. It was quite unwelcoming and although he did help us when our key didn't work properly he did give off a very unfriendly attitude the whole time. Perhaps due to another guest being quite shirty about the air conditioning as we checked in? Getting into Florence is a bother at this hotel, it's neither far nor expensive however the busses that go into central Florence (number 22) are packed, if you can't manage a 15 minute bus ride shoved into someone's sweaty armpit order a taxi. As well as finding somewhere that sells tickets being quite hard, there's a cafe bar that sells them just after the large supermarket on the main road. Hopefully soon the tram tracks being built on the main road will take people into Florence.
The room was fine. The air con could not be made lower than 18 degrees which made sleeping at night uncomfortable. We were on the main road, so the noise of traffic was exceedingly loud. We had to travel by no 22 bus to get into and out of town. We were robbed by pickpockets as we got on the bus for the first time. We had been in Florence for 15 minutes. We reported the theft to the Carabinieri who told us this bus route was notorious for thieves. A couple of days later we were surrounded by three men who, we are sure, were going to try to rob us. It was only that we were so aware that nothing happened. Beware of booking with JT holiday group. They told us the accommodation was central Florence.
spacious 2 bedroom apartment, fully equipped kitchen. around 3-4 kms from central station but if you need spacious room with kitchen, one has to compromise on location. taxi to station would cost around 15 euros for one side. no room service.
Just some comments about 4 days staying there. - First night there was a black out for 10 min. Prox at 1am. From there until morning air conditioned didn't worked. We couldn't sleep because of 30ºC. We called Quadra Key emergency number several times and as expected, no one answered... Next morning they told us that air conditioned was working again. They could offer something to compensate he ****** night we passed, easily with breakfast or a detail on the room, but nothing. Not really the attitude expected from my point of view. - Kitchen staff was not for that kitchen, there was not space for boil 2 pastas at the same time neither a pasta a fry anything the same time. - We were 2 people. We gave both ID cards, but during full stay they just leave us 1 single bath towel... Summarizing, easily could have been a very good experience if the attitude and this comments were considered for next customers. Better pay a little bit more and have better service.
Stayed here for a few weeks while travelling around Tuscany. Nice location outside Florence city. With a bus stop (bus number 22) up the street which will bring you to Santa Maria Novella train station and Florence city for just €1.20. The Residence has 2 appartment blocks, we stayed in the one across the carpark and it was perfect . Kitchenette area has everyone you will need with a Supermarket and a Lidl close by, there is also a little cafe across the road and restaurants in the neighbourhood if you wish to eat out. Also lovely bars up the street that also serve food. Making the location very appealing for a family holiday too.
My husband and I got a fantastic appartment with three rooms and luxury bathroom and perfectly equipped kitchen. We also had a small balcony, however without any furniture. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Underground parking perfect 10 eur per day. Busstop very close to Florence center, fare 1,20 eur each way. Highly recommendable for Florence visitors coming by car.
The best place to stay for a family with 2 adults and 2 children. Not too expensive for Florence, you have everything you may need in your hotel apartment plus a full option kitchen, just in case... Not the very best location, but near a bus stop: problem solved!
