Le Rose di Leonardo is the perfect solution for those who want to experience the daily life of Sant’Ambrogio” district, only few steps away from the main important monuments and museums. It overlooks Borgo la Croce, characteristic pedestrian street full of small shops and restaurants.
The apartment, fully equipped, is carefully furnished with a perfect balance of functional design furnitures and typical Florentine style: Tuscan tiles on the floor and wall paintings.

At "Le rose di Leonardo" you can rest after a city tour or you can work in a cozy and very comfortable place.
It is located in a pedestrian street, at the first floor of an historical building, in the heart of Florence city center. It is provided with air conditioning in the kitchen and both bedrooms (news from February 2023!!), ceiling fans and composed by kitchen/dining room, bedroom (queen bed), small bedroom (single bed), one bathroom and a storage closet.
The kitchen, provided with dishwasher, is fully equipped: water, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt&pepper, toaster. Towels, bed linen, complimentary toiletries, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board are also provided.
WI-FI connection is available for free. Every window is provided with mosquitos nets.

I live in the same building, for this reason I will be for sure available for suggestions/necessities that may arise during your stay.

If you stay in this apartment you will understand what it means to have everything at hand. The district is Sant'Ambrogio, residential, lively and at the same time close to the most important attractions: Piazza Santa Croce is few steps away, Piazza Signoria/ Piazza del Duomo/Uffizi Gallery are 15 minutes walking .
Within walking distance is Sant'Ambrogio Market, famous for its local fresh food (fruits, vegetables, meat, fish...), while nearby the apartment you can find restaurants, bars, banks and several clothing stores.
Supermarket and pharmacy are just a few hundred meters away.

Campo di Marte train station is 15 minutes walking.
The apartment is easily reached from Santa Maria Novella Station in 20 minutes by bus: lines C2 (stop Piazza Beccaria), or line 14 (stop "Porta alla Croce").

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL

Hosts were incredibly helpful and thoughtful. We arrived five hours late but they stayed to help us into the apartment and explain everything. A bottle of good Chianti awaited us. Apartment is large, really thoughtfully furnished and well equipped. Everything was clean and functioning. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The main bedroom has large closets and multiple drawers. If you’d like to unpack during your stay, this is the place for you. The neighborhood is lively in a good way, with people enjoying the evening outdoors. Really good neighborhood restaurants, cafes, and gelato just minutes away. We loved being in a real neighborhood away from the tourist crowds, but only a 15’ish minute walk to the center. Host has installed excellent soundproof windows. There are mini splits for air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep the rooms very comfortable. Examples of the hosts’ thoughtfulness are things like giving you two sets of keys, two umbrellas, multiple pods for the espresso maker, bottled water, the good Chianti, and more. Great guestbook explains everything and lists numerous restaurants, nightlife places with charming recommendations. Silvia answered all our texts really quickly and helpfully. She went above and beyond to make sure we were well cared for. We look forward to returning!

A Rose of a location

IMO a perfect location which was close to all but not directly in the middle of the tourist crowd. Apartment was very clean and had all you could need for a pleasant stay Host was frindly and attentive. I would stay there again.

Wonderful apartment with all amenities.

The apartment is situated on a vehicle free street with a lovely vibe, a bit away from the main tourist area. It was completely soundproof, despite the energy from the street below. Everything needed for our stay was provided, and it was obvious that a great deal of thought had gone into fitting out the unit for holiday guests. Clear directions were given on the use of all the appliances. Silvia, our hostess, also went out of her way to provide helpful local information, particularly about restaurants and cafes. We’d be very happy to return to this apartment.

What a wonderful spot

There are no details that Sylvia has not thought about to make you feel welcome. The apartment is in a great location, close enough to walk to the centre of the city and just far enough away from it so it is a little quieter. The space is spotless and had everything we needed.

Great Host - Great stay

Silvia was a great and friendly host. I was having trouble arranging a taxi for our next day departure, so she called the taxi company to make arrangements for us. Although she was unsuccessful as well, she took up her valuable time trying to make it happen. Apparently, taxis can be a little unreliable. So we walked to the train station instead. FYI it was only a 30 minute walk and very doable if you desire. The apartment was very nice. The street can be a little noisy but with the windows closed there was no street noise at all. Thanks Silvia We enjoyed our stay!

Couldn’t be more pleasant

This spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed apartment was perfect for my husband, myself, and our 20 year old son. Silvia, the manager and family owner, made everything easy and smooth, communicating with us each step of the way. She provided us with terrific suggestions for travel, restaurants, activities, and anything else we needed. Everything we needed or didn’t even know we needed was in the apartment, which made our short stay a great one. The location was not far from the center, and the bus and tram were close, affordable, and easy. We highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Florence.

Fantastic stay in Florence

We had a terrific stay in Silvia and Emanuele's apartment, which is located in a fun, lively and extremely convenient part of the city. We were able to get around all over to sites and restaurants/bars walking pretty much the entire time. Even immediately after booking our stay the communication with Silvia was fantastic and she even helped us book a reservation at a nearby restaurant (Osteria Vini E Vecchi Sapori) which didn't take online reservations, and became one of our favorite meals of our trip, so we can't thank her enough. She checked in with us after our initial check-in (which she was able to accommodate a little earlier) to see if we needed anything and make sure things were fine, and went the extra mile to help us out with some Wi-Fi troubleshooting. Overall, wonderful, clean apartment in a wonderful location with an even more wonderful host. We would definitely love to visit Florence again and we'd be very happy to stay at Silvia and Emanuele's place again!

Hi all, Charming & very helpful hosts. Silvia & Emanuele greeted us on arrival & showed us through the apartment (first floor) which was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds✅ Easy cooking with gas. Dishwasher Lg fridge. Close to “Coop” supermarket with everything you would need for food, drink etc, plus helpful staff. Flat located in charming pedestrian street with variety of shops, fashion, homewares, gelato & food & banks. A plus was the bus stop for the “Hop on & Hop off” bus close by. Check out the bus route and see the location close by to Silvia & Emanuele apartment. Take gel ear plus with just incase street is noisy. ( hosts supply foam ear plugs but gel mould to your inner ear, just more comfortable 😊) But it wasn’t a issue with us as we were exhausted from all the sightseeing! Very helpful hosts, book a taxi for a 6am pick up for us, no problem to get us to train station. Thank you for a great stay Silvia & Emanuele. A beautiful memory

This was a delightful stay. Our hosts treated us like well loved and eagerly awaited family members. The apartment was cared for like a treasured family home. It was well equipped and everything was spotlessly clean and in good working order. The hosts waited up to check us in and helped us up the stairs with our luggage. When it was time for us to leave, they called a taxi for us and waited with us until they knew we were safely on our way.

A wonderful apartment and host in a wonderful city :)

We had an absolutely amazing stay here in Florence, thanks in large part to this amazing apartment and our awesome host, Silvia. Silvia was always so prompt to answer any questions we had, and she gave us a wonderful introduction to the apartment once we arrived, complete with recommendations of nearby stores, restaurants, and landmarks. The apartment was clean, beautiful, and stocked with all the basics we could use. And the location was amazing! We walked everywhere, to galleries, churches, the Ponte Vecchio, restaurants, and cafes. It was so handy to be able to drop things off in the apartment and then continue on with our day. We’d love to stay in this apartment on a future visit and would recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

This was the loveliest, most comfortable tourist apartment I've ever rented anywhere. Located on a pedestrian street outside the central tourist area, yet walking distance to all the important sites in Firenze, I definitely lucked out booking this place online. Sylvia, the hostess, was beyond accommodating. She even came to my rescue at 4 am when my taxi to the airport failed to show up on my return trip. She's an angel! Wonderful Stay!

What a wonderful stay! The home, the location, and the restaurants are all great, but it’s Silvia the host who really makes it perfect! 😀 On arrival in Florence, one of our suitcases did not make it with us. Silvia was a huge help and even retrieved our luggage for us from the courier! That meant so much to us and we can’t thank her enough!😊 The apartment has everything that you need for a comfortable stay, (even a washer/ dryer), and it’s very roomy considering that you’re right in the city! The detailed instruction book in English for all of the appliances/ city information / restaurants was very helpful for us during our visit. We loved all of her restaurant recommendations! They all had the best food, just as she described 😋 - we made it to all of them except one. Overall, having Silvia as your host makes it a perfect stay! She’s always available to help you whenever needed, without being intrusive - (in addition to retreiving our luggage, she made a 3:30am taxi reservation, offered us the A/C during a mid October heatwave and even gave us a lovely bottle of Chianti when we arrived). Whenever we come back to Florence, we will definitely be staying at Silvia’s place! Grazie Mille! 😊

This is the place to stay in Florence!

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Silvia was a great host and easy to communicate with if we had any questions. The reviews are correct!

What an awesome experience in Florence, or our little piece of it! This unit is located on the north side of the river on a little pedestrian street that has a gelato shop, a few cafe's and down the road, one of the best pizzas we have had. Say Ciao to my dog friend Spena if you see him! The roads are a bit confusing but after 4 tries, we have the path to the leather school down! We didn't do any tours, sorry, but the host Silvia was there with every answer to my questions or issues I had. The place was darling, spacious and SUPER clean, even though there were sometimes crowds on the street, it was super quiet in the unit, she said bc of double paned windows. The Italians know how to do everything right and our stay was really nice, bought a LOT of goods at the leather school, which is a must see and ate and drank and napped every day. Felt very safe everywhere we went, even when we got lost in the parks at night. Stayed 5 nights, I truly think what made it so much better and stress free was our host Silvia. If I could give her 6 stars I would!

Lovely apartment in vibrant district

The apartment’s location, amenities, and owner support combined to make our stay in Firenze comfortable, fun, and a great value for the money. Silvia (who lives in the same building) dropped extra pillow cases and a 2nd Wi-Fi router at our door shortly after our call for help. The apartment is on a vibrant but quiet pedestrian-only block and is only steps from a busy piazza offering public transport opportunities. We loved our stay at Silvia’s apartment. She and Emanuel were the best hosts I’ve come across. The apartment was picture perfect and very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. Silvia greeted us at the Florence station since she was on her way back from work to meet us. We hugged as if we knew each other and from then on, the next 5 days - she was so so helpful in ensuring all my questions were answered (there were plenty!) and even booked a taxi for us to go back to the station. Highly recommend the place for its cleanliness, location and most importantly the hosts - we are certainly going back there on our next trip to Florence- it’s a mini home away from home for us now :) Thank you Silvia 🤗
