Comfortable, probably much better after the renovation is completed. Good breakfast. Very close to the center, walking distance to almost the main points of interest. Bad point: very weak and unreliable WiFi network.
Room was neat and quite. Though our first night was in a room facing the noisy alley. Then we requested to change to a neat and quite room. The breakfast was excellent. Hostess Rachael was friendly and personal, we felt very welcomed:)
This hotel is very well located in florence and it has the best staff and service . We visited the hotel two weeks ago and they have been renovating the hotel which caused some changes in the entrance and reception.the rooms are newly renovated we loved the ambience of the rooms they were clean ,comfortable and trendy .I cannot emphasize enough the quality of their service and their employees are super friendly and helpful.
The staff was excellent. They fulfilled every request completely and happily. Location is good if you're looking for a place close to the museums. The room was well appointed but a little small. I'd most likely stay here again.
Spacious rooms- updated with walk in showers. Recently renovated. Very central location. Walking distance to train station (Santa Maria Novella). Staff are friendly, charming and attentive. The breakfast buffet in the morning is just lovely. Very reasonably priced.
From check in to check out the staff could not have been more friendly! The breakfast is wonderful. Our room was very nice ... the hotel is finishing up a complete renovation but the workers did NOT interfere with our stay in any way. Great location ... we would book here again. The lift is tight but adequate. No real view from our room but then again we weren't in the room all that much to worry about that.
We had a brief stay in this hotel. It was well situated next to the leather market and Mercato Centrale, and on the road to the Duomo and even to Ponte Vecchio. The breakfast was surprisingly with enough variety but in a small old space, although the place was under renovation when we arrived. So I think this will improve. The bedroom was bigger than most Florence hotels, and the bathroom most specially was spacious and clean! I must say the entire hotel isn't very big but they treated us quite well. The staff was very warm till the very end. We even left a bag of belts we bought from the leather market , realizing it only after we were back home in Austria. They were quick to act on it and send us the belts via courier. This is admirable. I was actually willing to give this hotel a perfect score of 5, if not for the spotty internet experience in our room. But just the same, thanks to the hotel staff for great service! I am not exactly a customer easy to please, and quite critical in my reviews, but this one deserves a round of applause!
View of Duomo from our room! Air conditioning works really well! Wonderful room, perfect location, and helpful staff!! 15 minutes walk from major sites! Don’t be dissuaded by the reviews of “under construction” . Great breakfast!
Hotel is in a perfect location, our room had a lovely view over the city. Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom was beautiful, bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with homemade cakes, breads, butters and cheeses, couldn't ask for more. We had a window seat, looking out on the busy Florence streets.
I’m actually quite sorry to give a three star given the warm service especially from the breakfast, but overall speaking, it’s an average stay. Most of the flaws are not due to problems of the staff, but they are indeed existing flaws that I must recognize. We stayed two night in mid-March for two as a couple. We booked the rooms using the link directed by Tripadvisor. Hotel is in good location but very hard to find given the weak signal outside the hotel. Also due to some construction the front desk is moved to third floor which creates a little inconvenience. Meanwhile, they do have a door bell that ensures safety to some level. Upon arrival we were told the reservation says “double room for single use” but actually the reservation emails says a two adult. Actually, We also noted in the reservation that we’re on our special event for the travel. They seemed to be noticing that and gave a general greeting. We were given a quite regular room 210 as I could remember. The room is facing a corridor in construction inside the hotel and seems smaller than most pictures on the website. I tried to see if there is better room but was told no. It is acceptable because we did book the lowest rate. My friend got an upgrade to a better room while we definitely didn’t. Apart from no view, the room is mostly OK. The biggest impression is that it is smaller than our expectation. Chocolates are a bonus. Towels and hairdryers are in the closet which is on the farthest side from the toilet that I tried to find it for quite a while. There is a crack in the sink, and also the design of the open shower room is nice but there might be some problem but it is almost impossible to avoid water leaking out. During the times of the communication with the front desk, they were very nice and helpful. The breakfast staff were also very kind and busy helping everyone. On one day, a staff forgot repeatedly my coffee but I could really tell that she was too busy. So I can definitely understand. Generously the breakfast is very good. Homemaking stuffs are a great bonus actually. A message to the hotel is that maybe they could consider to put out coffee machine to free the staffs a little. That will save lots of their time. Finally, I would suggest that the hotel consider to accept cards for the city tax. I was aware before the checkin that city Tax would be collected by cash only. That was indeed well-communicated so I’m not trying to blame anything. But I just wish to say that it still creates some inconvenience and I don’t found the real barrier for it because the hotel still needs to charge room rate using cards. The only reason I could guess is that the transaction fee, while I believe that is really not a big deal for the hotel. At least 6 of 7 hotels I stayed throughout Italy were accepting cards for city tax. Again this is just a suggestion. I believe that would create much more convenience than cash only. Overall, I would suggest the hotels, with being aware of these flaws.
