Interior well done with great wifi, attention to details; excellent, larger, note not large, shower, new wood floors and a nest thermostat making for difference from other hotels in this price range. The staff is quite helpful and sincerely friendly.
As we approached the front door, I wasn't sure what to expect, but looks are deceiving. My wife and I spent two nights at the Corte dei Medici and it was wonderful. a friendly and accommodating staff; clean and comfortable rooms and the best breakfast we had in Europe made for a very happy stay. We picked it for the location and the previous trip Advisor recommendations and it was even better than we had hoped for.
I was in Florence on a work trip. This hotel was in the center of the city. Convenient walking distance to all the sights. There was a glitch in our reservation (our fault). The staff bent over backwards to find us accommodations. So, friendly and helpful staff is an understatement. They were wonderful! I had a double room (queen bed + twin bed). It was newly remodeled, roomy, nicely appointed bathroom, powerful hairdryer, kettle, fridge, desk, tv and easy chair. Continental breakfast is provided (yummy). Comfortable to sleep and work. The best part was it overlooked the street and I was serenaded each afternoon by a talented street musician. Buildings in Florence are old. While the rooms have been updated, you should prepared for steep, narrow stairs, and a tiny elevator. However, old does not mean decrepit or uncared for. This property was clean with old world charm. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would rate the hotel as excellent for Service, Sleep Quality and Location.
We stayed here for 5 nights. We were given a spacious room overlooking the 15th century Cappelle Medicee (Church). The room included free Wifi with private facilities. The hotel is well situated close the the open air markets around the corner and a short distance to the Central railway station. Also a short walk there are numerous cafe's and restaurants. Breakfast was included which was buffet style with plenty of selection to choose from.Friendly wait sfaff which made the experience so simple and enjoyable. The Hotel staff were friendly and obliging and spoke numerous languages.
I stayed on my own for 2 nights in early October. The very big double room had recently been refurbished along with the bathroom. The shower is very big too which is a change from most places. The staff were all very helpful and nice and the breakfast good. It is a short walk from the station, about 10 minutes, and very close to the Duomo, Accademia etc. all in all it was a good value 3 star hotel.
The hotel was very good, the staff very friendly and helpful, always smiling and obliging. Our hotel room was a deluxe room, very nice, but a bit expensive. The breakfast was delicious. The location exceptional, close to everywhere.
Location, Location, Location Excellent location, walking distance to key tourist sites, shopping and restaurants. Staff was friendly and supportive. Our only complaint was that the beds were hard and pillows firm. However all the beds we slept in (in Italy) were similar - must be a cultural thing. American hotel beds and pillows tend to be softer. Rooms were small but clean and interior design was cool. We would certainly stay there again.
This hotel is in a great location for a stay in Florence. It is opposite the Basilica di San Lorenzo within easy walking distance of the train station and near all the major tourist attractions. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment at the moment but that did not affect our stay at all. Our room was great, very clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable, the bathroom was big with a great shower and the wardrobe had plenty of room with a safe and small fridge. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful showing us to our room and giving us a map of the area circling all the main attractions. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay here again.
We spend a lovely 3 nights at this hotel which is perfectly located near all the wonderful sights to visit in Florence. The room was nice, breakfast good and staff very helpful. Nina was a star and lightened up our stay. If we come back we will definitely stay at this hotel.
my wife and I had a most enjoyable stay in Florence The locality of the hotel was excellent; the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and you should have seen the smile on their faces when our lost luggage arrived 2 days later to the hotel
