Cozy and comfortable

We loved the home! Our family was able to cook meals and enjoy family time inside and outside and not feel crowded. There are many areas to congregate and visit.

Great Stay

The lodge exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place for our Christmas gathering. There was plenty of space for 8 of us plus a dog. We all highly recommend this place!

Wonderful time at the Lodge

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was very relaxing and we especially enjoyed spending time on the porches. The views and surroundings were great and we really enjoyed the peacefulness of the property. We all said we would stay there again and wished we did not have to leave when we did.

We had a great stay! The host was very friendly, and the cabin was clean and beautifully decorated for the holidays, which added a festive touch. The only minor surprise was the number of ladybugs present throughout the cabin—they were in nearly every room. However, the host had clear signs explaining that ladybugs are seasonal visitors and completely harmless. It didn’t bother us or our guests, but it’s worth noting for future visitors. Overall, a lovely and cozy experience!

Cabin in the woods

This spacious cabin in the woods was very cozy. We had eight people and were never on top of each other. It was very quiet and we really enjoyed the turkeys that visited every day! Great trip!

We enjoyed all the decks and screened in porch. It was a great middle point to explore Cloudland Canyon, Lookout Mtn and Chattanooga.

Great Rural Cabin south of Chattanooga

This was a great launching platform in the country to visit Chattanooga attractions, but not in the city. Delighted!

Beautiful cabin

We spent Christmas here and it was just lovely. They decorated with a beautiful tree and a few other things, and it was a wonderful experience for our rambunctious 3 year old. A really great spot to unwind and spend time with family.

Mountain Hollow Private Retreat

The property is secluded and beautifully situated on a hill with decks on all sides to let you view the mountains and trees and birds. It was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my sons graduation from Covenant College.

Spring Break 2025

The place looked nice on the website. When we got there, it even looked better. Everything was clean and we loved the decor. This is an excellent place for a quiet getaway. The whole family had a great time. Its far enough to enjoy the quietness of the hills and close enough to lots of hiking and Chattanoogas city center.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Family-Friendly Lodge: Rustic Charm, Near Chattanooga! The views were absolutely spectacular, and the property itself was beautifully maintained. The booking and check-in process was smooth and simple, which made everything even more enjoyable.My grandson especially loved exploring the barn, swinging on the swing, and having plenty of space to play on the property. The fire pit was an added bonus—it gave us the perfect spot to gather together and make special memories around the fire.This was the perfect setting for a relaxing and memorable Labor Day weekend. We would definitely recommend this lodge to families looking for both charm and comfort near Chattanooga!

Wonder time with family.

Met up with our adult children and our three grandchildren. Had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for all three families and three little grandkids under 3 yrs old and their toys. Loved it!

secluded get away

My daughter got married at High Point Farms about 1.5 miles away. This VRBO was perfect for meeting our needs. Lots of wildlife to be seen. The host was incredibly helpful with changes/requests and always answered promptly. It is secluded! So quiet at night!!! You do run out of paved road for a short while as you climb up the drive through the forest. Lovely!

Overall Stay

The house itself was very spacious and pleasing. At night it was quite dark, would not hurt to have maybe some motion lights even with my headlights on could not really even tell if I was at the right. The only other issue is the gravel part of the driveway coming up the hill was quite rough and was slipping traction. But other than that it was a great and relaxing stay. Would definitely stay again!!!

Hay Hollow is amazing. The house and outside areas were so clean and organized. We didn’t even see a cobweb anywhere! The home was well stocked with all the essentials and the linens were impeccable. The driveway is a bit challenging but not unusual for the location. Having all wheel drive is your best option. A bit bumpy on the gravel portion but once you reach the paved drive, it’s smooth sailing. I would love for our family to come back and enjoy the property again. Thank you to the hosts who were always prompt with responding and thank you to the owners for giving a 5 star experience.

The house was ok. They limit the water you can use which is very unacceptable. They accused us of using to much bedding and said they had to do to much laundry after us. Accused us of brining pets when we did not bring animals. The host is rude and would honestly not recommend again.

Nice home but needs a good clean

It is a lovely home, very quiet neighborhood and the home is pretty well equipped but it needs a deep cleaning. The window sils are dirty and have dead bugs. Under the couches and beds it is also very dirty and dusty. The fireplace was and it’s surroundings were dirty when we arrived. Finally some of the chairs in the dining room are very unstable. My husband had a screw driver in the car and was able to fix some. It’s a great home but needs a little TLC.

Secluded and quiet

We loved the location on top of a hill, secluded and quiet, it was relaxing and the house was lovingly and tastefully decorated and welcoming. Everything was in good condition and made for a pleasant stay. The main bedroom and bath upstairs were beautiful but we used the first floor rooms to avoid taking the stairs. Rustic and cozy interiors, sufficient dishes and cookware, screened and unscreened seating outside around the house were more amenities. Also appreciated the spaciousness, the beautiful large fireplace and the high ceilings. The outside fire pit needs some attention, it would be nice to be able to sit around it. Maybe one day the part of the gravel driveway will be asphalt to make it easier going up. The Publix 20 min away was great for groceries. We preferred to prepare breakfast at home, no healthy choices nearby. If you want a quiet stay in nature and enjoy listening to birds sitting on the porch that’s the perfect house. City life is only 30 min away should you miss it. The two sweet barn cats kept us company when we were outside and we became friends. A visit of cloudland canyon nearby was my personal highlight.
