Absolutely stunning place, helicopter in and warmly greeted by the wonderful staff. Lunch, snorkeling, friendly staff, everyone treated so personally. We can't believe how happy, nice and accommodating everyone is. Will certainly be back for a longer stay in the future.
We came to Tokoriki Island resort for our honeymoon in February and it was amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and we felt so welcome and at home, we didn't want to leave. We stayed in a beachfront bure and had our own private plunge pool and outdoor shower and literally 10 metres away from the beach and SUPs, kayaks and surf cats. the bed was SO comfortable and the bure was so cosy. Our bure and the whole resort is so clean and tropical. It is not expensive even when ordering food every meal, drinks and buying things from the boutique and going on tours. We are definitely coming back; our new favourite holiday destination. Thanks Tokoriki staff!
Wow! This place is truly amazing... the detail of design, the true Fijian spirit, the private bures( get one with a plunge pool) THE FOOD ( do the meal plan) ... it’s all incredible! Can’t fault the service with a big smile. We kayaked around the island and snorkeled... great fish life.... activities such as this were included. We helicoptered out to ensure we made the best use of our time away. The wait time to head out to Tokoriki was a bit longer than we liked but otherwise perfect. Will b heading back here for sure. 🌴☀️👏🏼
Very beautiful location. Perfect for honeymooners or newly weds. The staff were very friendly and lovely. One week of bliss. More lighting in the villas required. Maybe a phone in the villa to call reception for room service. Friendliest and best staff in the world. Have travelled extensively and the staff at Tokoriki have been the best. Food very lovely.
Tokoriki island resort is a beautiful adults only resort. We stayed in a beautiful beach front Bure with a gorgeous outdoor shower. Free water activities. The food is incredible the Chef Ash is amazing he comes up with a different menu everyday which is truly to die for. He even created vegan dishes just for me it was so kind of him. The whole team of staff Mita, Noa, Kris, Joshua, Lily, Phillip just to name a few honestly everyone was so beautiful and helpful and welcoming. And the band boys are amazing. You really do arrive as a visitor and leave as family. I will always remember what each and every staff member did for us to make our stay so memorable. Don't hesitate or think twice choose Tokoriki Island resort for your Fiji holiday.
‘Welcome Home!’ - Apart from the most personalised and heartfelt welcome by the Tokoriki family, we had no idea what the phrase meant when we first arrived at Tokoriki Resort by helicopter. Over what can only be described as the most relaxing, peaceful, idyllic week we realised that the resorts motto is reality. Service - Followed by a tropical guava drink and a welcome song by the band boys and other staff we were then provided with a private briefing of the resort and bure facilities and all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities by the Duty Manager, Sam, which made us further excited about our stay. After freshening up we left our bure for our first lunch, we felt so privileged when everyone had already remembered our names even though we had only been there for an hour. What further surprised us were they could remember our food and drink preferences throughout the entire stay, that made us feeling like home. We were so so so impressed with their customer service and we believe it’s the best experience we had throughout the entire world. They were welcoming and flexible in making arrangements and aim to customise everybody’s needs without fail. One interesting fact was they knew where to find us no matter what time of day, that certainly prove the fact that we have been well taken care of and they saw us as a valuable guest and a member of their family. Food - The menus in the a-la-carte restaurant changed everyday with fresh ingredients locally grown or captured. Every dish we had was exceptional quality in addition to their mouth watering presentation. One of the highlights we had was the 15kg Spanish Mackerel we caught while light tackle fishing with Jo from the Tokoriki dive shop. I was so lucky to have caught such reef fish (in addition to other three smaller ones) the first time in my life. We took it to the kitchen and the team created a customised meal plan for us so we could taste the catch. Later the Executive Chef gave us a tour of the kitchen and showed us the daily catch of the day and created a beautiful Lobster Moray sashimi dish for us for lunch to go with our Spanish Mackerel. Another highlight would be the ocean front dinner. With the exceptional, exclusive and spectacular sea view, accompanied by the serenading live band, it was one of the romantic dinner we had in our lifes. Another experience not to be missed was the entertaining teppanyaki dinner with Johnny and of course the long lasting happy hours we had with Freddy who offered a variety of cocktails with local twists. Location - Looking at Castaway Island, the close proximity to coral reef sites and having our private pristine beach, there’re nothing we could complain about! We both are ocean lovers and divers. The resort has an amazing 5 Star Padi dive centre run by Alex and Will. They and their team offer exceptional service and we enjoyed multiple dives with another member of their team, Save. We cannot express enough about these guys, we will definitely be diving with them again in the future. I have to say the geographical location is easy assessable to nearby dive sites (~15 mins - 30 mins) where abundant aquatic creatures exist. It’s not difficult to see reef sharks, turtles, starfish, anemone fish, parrotfish, wrasse. Moorish idol, trumpet fish, triggerfish and more……There are free snorkelling everyday and we were so surprised that we could see some giant fish e.g. Wrasse., Mackerel,Triggerfish….that never happen in our past snorkelling experience!!!!! It’s such a paradise on the Earth. There’s not a single flaw in this resort. Everything is just perfect. We had a phenomenal honeymoon and we sincerely thank them for everything they all did to make our honeymoon complete. The only negative thing was how sad we felt the day we left……. See you all again soon guys!!!
Tokoriki Island Resort is simply unbelievable! 10/10 - brilliant! Tokoriki’s staff are the friendliest in the world and resort facilities are flawless. Upon touching down on the helipad we were instantly made to feel at home and the relaxation was instant. From the traditional Fijian welcome song, to being greeted around the resort all week by our first names, to being treated all day by the first class chefs and kitchen staff (the food here will blow your mind), to having a luxurious, comfortable and impeccably clean bure to enjoy, to enjoying the Bandboys songs at lunch time though to after dinner – this place is THE BEST! Every day was SO memorable! Words don’t do this place enough justice and I cannot recommend this place anymore… do yourself a favour and treat yourself. You will never ever forget it! We’ll be back – Vinaka vakalevu Tokoriki!
We've been fortunate to travel to many beautiful places in the world, and Tokoriki Island Resort ranks with the best! Even more impressive than the facilities and the surroundings was the staff ... the friendliest and most accommodating people in the world. We can't wait to return in the future. Vanaka!
This resort is perfect. We honestly do not have 1 negative thing to say We arrived by helicopter to a wonderful welcome from staff, check in was seamless. Our room was large enough for both of us and the plunge pool was a very good size and depth. Tima our housekeeper was very thorough and just a delight to see everyday, Kinny our pool service guy ensured that the pool was spotless and full every morning. Every single staff member is genuinely kind with always a warm Bula welcome whenever and wherever we were on the island. We had. Or been to Fiji for 15 years and I forgot how nice the people are. We had the meal plan, we thought it was well worth it and the food was of 4 to 5 stars. We did tend to eat too much for the first couple of days, but then settled down. We Did the tepanyaki, it was excellent The cocktails are very good and the wine list is satisfactory. The alcohol is a little on the expensive side, but the island is a fair way from Nadi. We did the boat trip to the local island and school. I thoroughly recommend this. The children sang and danced and the headmaster greeted us. It was an absolute delight. We also did the complimentary snorkeling, it was OK. We are lucky as we live in Queensland and have Port Douglas, which has some of the best snorkeling in the world. This resort is perfect, we loved that no children under 16 are allowed. The main pools are top notch. Well done and congratulations to the owners and management of this resort. You have created a dream for everyone who visits and it is good to see that you are continually upgrading every aspect of this resort We were also lucky enough to meet Harry half tail, one of the cats on the island. He found me and we became great friends for the week, the bag of kibble I took over probably helped, but he was waiting for me every time we came home, Thank you to all staff at Tokoriki for absolutely everything
There are two resorts on Tokoriki Island. Tokoriki Island Resort (TIR) and Sheraton. It was a hard choice when we were deciding which one to go. At last, I made the decision: two nights in TIR and two nights in Sheraton. It turned out good. But over all, I think Tokoriki Island Resort is way better. TIR is a private resort, very quiet, adults only. It was like a private royal garden with lotus along the way. A perfect choice for honey moon. The swimming pool is a perfect place for sunset seeing and happy hour drinking. The food in TIR is great too. I saw some bad reviews on the food, so I have a really low expectation. but it turned out totally different. My two friends and I all loved the food there. Every piece of food was like art, presented delicately. I strongly recommend the beer battered fish and Kokoda (raw fish and fruit in coconut milk). The best in TIR was the staff and service. They smile all the time and treat you like family. They are professional, very careful with their work. They will do anything to satisfy your needs. They made me feel the last thing they wanted to do is to disappoint you. The room is usually for two people only, but as I ask them to put in a rollaway bed, they added one more glass, one more bottle of water, one more milk, one more robe and one more bath towel. They were really really considerate. Our room was quite messy because we have four suitcases. I didn't think it was convenient for the cleaning lady, so I hanged the NO DISTURBING sign outside our door. Later in the afternoon a senior lady knocked and confirmed if we need room service. She was a bit worried that we didn't fully understand the meaning of the sign because English is not my first language. After we told her we almost ran out of Fiji water she went away and came back with three more bottles in only two seconds. Fiji time is not a rare thing here. Many Fijians are lazy and slow. But the staff of TIR are completely not like that. They are fast, punctual and effective. Our electric brake jumped out and the electrician came 3 minutes later after we called the reception. When we moved to Sheraton they led the way, carried our luggage and accompanied us all the way to Sheraton reception in the dark. TIR was like a home away from home. We definitely would pay more visits and stayed longer if we had another chance. Speaking of Sheraton, we were a bit disappointed. First of all, we have to make it clear that Sheraton was great too. It was big, modern and fun. Spacious, great view, various water sports (even though they charged for snorkeling gear, kayak and stand up paddle board), more choices of food and a small but comfy gym. Staff were considerate too, but they were more like business people, not as warm-hearted as staff of TIR. They didn't smile that much and acted a little slow. In our room, we had three adults but everything came in pairs. When we called for another set of robe, bath towel, etc, they never came. There was no hot water until someone came one hour later. There were too many kids so it was loud and noisy. Bird poop on the deck chairs along the beach and swimming pool. The water in the pool was not that clean wither. The food was very good, but they almost tasted the same after we had three meals. Our accommodation fee included breakfast but they still charged us for breakfast when I checked out. The good thing was when I pointed it out they refunded me with cash immediately. However, even though I sort of badmouthed Sheraton, it is still a nice place. For example, most frogs have been removed from Sheraton, while there are a lot in TIR. That's basically the only thing I am not satisfied with TIR. But overall, I personally preferred the traditional bures with amazing ocean and garden views in TIR. I am writing this review in Sheraton villa in Danarau. It is a nice place too. The thing I am unhappy with by now is that they don't offer a bus or van to the airport. Can't believe I have to book and pay a taxi by myself while most hotels offer the courteous bus service.
