great hotel on golf course outside of st andrews

Everyone

We had a great experience at this hotel, would strongly recommend it for any traveler going to the St Andrew area. The hotel and grounds very well maintained and the staff was outstanding!! Although our room faced the roof line of the atrium, it was not an issue as truthfully other than sleeping in room, we enjoyed the many other areas of the property-- i.e. golf course with restaurant, restaurant in hotel (where we encountered a great staff, very accommodating and friendly!!) and other conversational/recreational areas--when we were not actually out in the town of St Andrews itself.

wish we could have stayed longer

Families

Our extended family, consisting of 4 adults and 2 school age children, stayed at this property for 2 days last week. We could not have had a better time. Two members of our party enjoyed the golf courses while the rest took the free shuttle, which runs hourly, to St. Andrews town center. There was a fairly large conference taking place but we did not have any problems getting a tee time and the place never looked crowded. The pools were well managed, and guests were very courteous, which created a pleasurable experience for all. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts in the morning and sitting by the large fireplace after coming back from town. We had dinner at Cucina, the Italian restaurant on site, which was good but pricey. I would suggest going into town for dinner, which we did the following night.

This is a lovely hotel with a lovely staff. We spent one night and the room was extremely comfortable. Guests should be aware that it is a bit far from the town, but they have a shuttle and it is easy to get a cab back to the hotel after dinner.
