Have to pay extra for a room with a refrigerator. Surroundings not pleasant - trailer lot behind, trash in empty lot next to hotel. Old furnishings but clean and adequate - nothing special at all. Good for a night's sleep - nothing to offer in day-light.

I had a whirlpool suite which was very nice. However the whirlpool tub was chipped and large parts where exposed to which I felt was very difficult to clean appropriately enough. This was a bacterial haven and health concern. I paid more for the room to enjoy this feature and was very dissatisfied that the tub was in this condition.

A terrific hotel for a great price. Can't go wrong

Location is convenient, check-in was easy, lobby is nice, parking is easy. I didn't like that anyone could walk into the halls w/o a key. Our room had DEFINITELY been smoked in, although it was a non-smoking room. The bedspreads and dust ruffles were noticeably dirty. My sheets were dirty, hopefully just stained, but still - yuck! The hot water handle on the bathroom sink didn't work at all. It was quiet, so I slept quiet well.

It is a very nice, seemingly upscale hotel. Accommodations are similar to the higher priced hotels, and pains are taken to ensure guests' comfort. It is a lovely place to stay.

Carpet very soiled and outside looks like trash is never picked up.

The a/c in our room wasn't working and the air dryer was missing. After the staff determined that the window couldn't be opened to cool the room, we were assigned a new room. The " full breakfast" the first morning was great-- ham, eggs, waffles.... The second morning there were 3 prepackaged rolls and coffee. The front desk staff was kind enough to recommend a local restaurant for breakfast.

The room was a good size no complaints. The staff was great friendly and gave me great directions to places in town.

I have an ADA approved Emotional Support Dog. Because of same, I was made to stay in a smoking room, in the smoking wing that was undergoing construction during my stay. All the other hotels in the area were booked up by the time I arrived in town and realized this situation. The rooms were dirty, warn, flea ridden and smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. There was blood on the top of the mirror and light above same that dripped when i showered from the steam. I awoke one am early with them staple gunning carpet trim outside my door. The low life tenant across the hall let her dog run loose to pee in the halls with her door wide as her two year old baby "Timmy" screamed all night. The keys for my room did not work and I had to have them coded 2 to 3 times the first two days of my stay. The soda machines were not stocked and the breakfast was awful. The tv reception was limited and very poor. The exterior stairs to go up to second floor were dry rotted, loose and wobbly. Burn holes in blanket, dual payne window failure and no screens. This was a far cry from how this motel used to be run and I feel like i was robbed by having to stay there and pay for this abuse. See photos attached herein. I would appreciate you not having them on you list and give me a coupon to make up for this misleading hotel.

we stayed one night to rest...it served the purpose

excellent stay. close to the university restaurants. close to

From the pictures I expected a very clean top quality mid priced hotel. The outside was older than I expected, the halls reeked of cigarette smoke and cigarette butts were on the grounds outside the entrance . There was a large stain on the carpet. Once in the room the bathroom was very clean and had all the amenities including hair dryer, lotions, very clean towels etc staff was friendly and helpful. Ample breakfast with lots of good coffee., fruit, etc It's a lot better than the cheaper Motel 6 in Arcata but $50 a night more expensive. Hard to find affordable clean accommodations in the Arcata - Eureka area but I will not return to this motel.

Berry comfortable hotel close to restorants excellent personal

The hotel was good. The location was near the freeway and pretty loud.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, slightly rundown furniture and rooms

Nice clean hotel. Rooms where clean and adequate for a brief stay in Arcata.

At check in it took a while for the lady behind the counter to even say hello. Then didnt expalin why she needed my creditcard again after prepaying for the room. Was not told how to get to our room. We choose a non smoking room. To get to our non smoking room you had to walk thru the smokers hall. The carpets in the halls were stained. The room was nice for the price we paid. But the overall 1st impression was ruined! I would not recommend this place.

this Motel was very clean and modern. Directions to find could have been explained better due to two round abouts to go thru to find. Motel signs before the exit were not seen. The only negative to say was the shower curtain was missing from the room and not noticed until I was in rhe shower.

visited the redwood forest. Not the best hotel but not the worst we've stayed in either

We stayed at this hotel on our drive up the coast to Oregon. It was a good halfway point on our trip. We only stayed one night and the staff was courteous and helpful - even provided my husband with complimentary comb and toothpaste since he forgot his. Continental breakfast was good - included make your own waffles. My only complaint about it was there was not enough seating so we had to sit on the couch in the lobby to eat. Another minor issue was that being in a first floor room we could hear every door slam and bed creak from the room above ours.
