I stayed there with my wife and 3 kids (8,5,3 years old) for one night. According to the web, maximum occupation is 2 adult and 2 kids for 135EUR in Aug 2019. after I sent e-mail to the hotel, they accepted us (5 people) in same price.
We booked here as a staging post to Austria and found the most amazing clean perfect family hotel in the ibis styles. The room was supposed to be one for two adult sand two teenagers but was two adjoining rooms. The rooms had everything you need including great showers. No coffee and tea facilities but had it in reception. The breakfast was super and the staff at breakfast amazingly attentive and helpful.. Ettlingen had lots of restaurants and we ate at Taglich which was recommended by the hotel. Basic old fashioned German Fare but friendly. The town was buzzing with diners and cafes into the evening. Hotel was silent and well air conditioned. Ettlingen is a historic hidden gem to which We will return!
We stayed at this hotel for a single night on our way back from a holiday. We had a good night’s sleep in the comfortable Ibis beds. Friendly staff, everything in order, and the usual German efficiency and attention to functional details - lovely stay, all in all! Weird design of the bathrooms, though, with a seperat toilet, showerstall and sink in the room, only seperated from the bed by a closet. Looked great, but might be a challenge if prefering full privacy in the bathroom :-)
Beautiful location on the edge of the village. Immaculately clean, wonderful rain shower, but awful room layout. Lots of space wasted on separate toilet, shower & basin, and barely space for the bed - literally inches from sharp edges on which I hit my shin twice on getting out of the bed. Individually designed rooms more than pointless given that you receive a randomly assigned room & that’s the only one you will see. Safe parking but extremely tight even for a small car nevermind an suv. Had a very difficult time getting in and out of the parked car. Breakfast very so and so.
It was our first stay at Ibis Hotel in Ettlingen. Nice designed rooms, great breakfast with kids' corner and very kind staff. The only thing we missed was a fridge in the room as it was very hot outside during our stay.
An excellent hotel in a very quiet old fashioned town that is a perfect place to stay while exploring the northern Black Forest. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the town and area. The hotel was modern, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent as were the staff that were overseeing it. As fast as a dish was emptied it was refilled and at no time was anybody waiting for food or a table to sit at. A top grade hotel.
A rather pleasing place to stop overnight, relax & unwind after a long drive. The town is a two minute walk away and quaint. Lots to see but on my arrival there was a ‘shopping festivity’ with stilt walkers, acoustic and not bands and a lady singing in a shop window in a ball gown! Found a place to eat then after a walk about had a beer at the Ibis. The staff were very good and welcoming, being quiet they were quite happy to chat. Clean comfy room and wifi was excellent, no drop out at all. Easy check in & check out after a pretty good breakfast. Had to supply my own tea pot and ask for fresh milk but that’s just me!
From January 2019 it seems that the Director of the IBIS Hotel in Ettlingen decided that dogs , also small ones aren't allowed anymore in the hotel as he had a bad experiences during a dog exibition which have had place in Ettlingen. Unfortunately on the website it isn't indicate so clear so I wasn't aware of this new rule. When I arrived at midnight with my small dog they told me that my dog should sleep in the car in the garage. I told them that the air in the garage wasn't very healthy so I would not put my dog in the car as the health of my little dog is important for me. So I said ok I will go to another hotel in which they don't have this inhuman attitude vs. dogs. They told me that I needed to pay 90% however of the room although I wouldn't sleep there. I paid as they have asked me and I move to a hotel which don't have this kind of attitude vs. dogs. I think that a hotel which is part of ACCOR HOTELS cannot have this kind of attitude vs. dogs but also vs. their customers. As they could have said ok you need to go to another hotel as we don't allow anymore dogs and not asked for the 90% of the cost of the room. Furthermore they shouldn't suggest that a dog should stay in a car in their garage in which they put a warning which says don't stay tolong in this garage is not good for your health. I will suggest to all persons that need to stay in Ettlingen not to go to this hotel and go to the radisson blu Ettlingen or the other hotels in the aerea as at least they have respect for animals and are much better hotels.
very friendly staff; great hotel and well maintained bedrooms. breakfast was good with good choice and team very friendly and efficient. Parking onsite always a plus and the kids room is a great idea. the family room was perfect for our family and trip.
We slept in Hotel Ibis Styles for one night on our travel to our parents in the Netherlands. The room is very clean, the interior very minimalistic, which is typical for These Kind of budget hotels. The Wifi is phenomenal and very easy to access. I recommend this hotel for one night. You will get enough and good sleep to continue your Drive on the next Day.
