Wonderful week here...we were apprehensive after seeing some poor reviews but none of them were apparent during our visit. Staff were excellent with many having good English although an understanding of French improves the overall experience. Initial greeting was good and room overlooking the pool very nice...however we did have a couple of irritating plumbing problems which weren't fixed but we lived with. Basically the hotel is characterful but getting a little tired in some places. WiFi is brilliant everywhere even on the beech. We went half board and breakfast by the pool is one of the highlights of the day. The main restaurant for dinner is good but not special whereas the M beach restaurant has excellent fish although after a week the menu becomes a bit limited. Good choice of drinks at UK restaurant prices. 5 mins from the Medina, harbour and on the beach with private area. Pool was too cold for us in November but lots of comfortable sunbeds and towels provided to enjoy the sunshine. We will definitely stay again!

Try the Mclub at the Medina Essaouira Hotel where Ms Rachida and her staff will take good care of You while You can relax in nice comfortable furnitures in a good atmosphere 😊 Ms Rachia have good communication skills in english & frensh and understand the core of proffesionel service 👍

We loved staying at this beach front property. Very clean, friendly staff and nice pool. We could walk to the medina and small local restaurants. All rooms face either the ocean or the pool. Great breakfast included in price. Also close by is a great wine and spirits shop. Would stay there again.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our trip to Morocco. Breakfast was good and the waiting staff were very attentive. The rooms are a bit tatty (especially the bathrooms) and the air conditioning leaves a lot to be desired. We did ask for fans for our rooms and despite being promised several times, nothing ever appeared. We used the private beach area during the day and couldn't fault it. The two staff who run it were great! We ate lunch there every day and enjoyed all the meals.

A really nice and clean hotel, right on the beach. Our bedroom was large, with a small balcony and a mini bar. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the private beach and the beach boy (staff) was extremely nice! The hotel is located just outside the medina.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and functional hotel with excellent breakfast. Location is perfectly central, but far enough from the Medina so we can get away from the madness! We had two rooms for a family of 5 both with excellent sea views. It’s a slightly older hotel, but well maintained and spacious; something you don’t get with modern hotels! The beach is across a quiet road, with little traffic. The hotel has a cafe and private, secluded beach area with free sun beds and towels. Both the pool and beach sun beds are the best I’ve ever used. They really are beds that you can sleep on! If it hadn’t been for the ice cold and murky swimming pool this hotel would have earned five stars! Even the currency exchange facility in the hotel is both competitive and charges no fee. What more can we say!

The hotel was very nice and clean but things didnt start very well, we arrived after a six hour journey(flight and transfer) at 3 o'clock and was told that our room was'nt ready even thou the check in time was 2 o'clock. We were told they will come and get us when it was ready, we sat by the pool for a drink for one hour and no one came to us. I went to see if they had any news and told the room was ready. The room was very nice with a lovely sea view, The staff at breakfast were not very quick at serving coffee or they didnt understand when we asked them four times. Apart from the couple issues we had we would return to the hotel in the future. The one thing that stands out was the great service we got from the pool attendant.

This was our third stay at this hotel. Stayed for 4 nights in September 2017. It is set on the newly improved promenade in Essaouira close to the wonderful Medina. This is like a boutique type hotel. The entrance and reception area are full of interesting items and have comfortable sofas. Yes, the sofas and furniture do not all match but this is deliberate! We had a beautiful and clean room at the front of the hotel overlooking the beach, with a view to the port and start of the Medina. The room had a huge comfortable bed, nice locally made furniture and a good sized balcony. The pool area is lovely and the sun beds are huge. The staff are mostly welcoming and helpful (as you would expect in Morocco). The bar is again full of character, although usually quite, which I suggest is due to the high prices. Breakfast is nice, particularly if you get a table outside beside the pool. We had dinner in the hotel on one night as it was raining and we didn't want to walk to a restaurant. It was OK, but being honest there are a number of excellent restaurants in Essaouira which serve better food than the hotel and are normally also cheaper. The hotel also runs the M-Beach restaurant about 200 metres away on the actual promenade. The food there is, I would suggest, better than the hotel. Maybe management should look into why that is the case? The hotel has a lovely ambience and we look forward to returning next year.

This hotel was good for its facilities however they take the mic with the cost of extras. I was going to give 3/5 but given the rest of Essaouira, I imagine this hotel is pretty good in comparison so will give 4/5. Pros: - pool, poolside area and reception area is lovely - good air con and free safe in the rooms - pretty close to the centre of Essaouira Cons: - I didn’t realise soft beds could be a problem until I stayed here - we both got awful bad backs from the beds - breakfast is very expensive - 200 MAD per person - you are not allowed to bring your own food and drink into the hotel but the option of their food is v expensive - Mini bar in room but chargeable

We booked a 7 night break for the beginning of October to try to catch the last of the summer sunshine. Arrived at the hotel, via transfer, and our bags were taken inside promptly which we felt was a good start. Once inside, our bags were dumped with a pile of other guests luggage and left there unattended. Very confusing although not a huge problem as I am more than capable of carrying my own luggage but seemed strange they would collect our bags to then discard them to one side of the lobby. We were handed our key but not told where our room was or offered any help with our luggage. Not at all 5 star service. Our room was relatively spacious for a lower category of room. We paid more for a room with a sea view so I am not sure if this makes a difference to the size of the room. The balcony door was so dirty you could barely see through it, the bathroom was covered in mould and the air conditioning was highly ineffective. House keeping were great and made sure the room was clean each day but seem to have missed a few bits noted above. As a guest on a bed and breakfast package you are told you can use the beach and outdoor pool free of charge. The beach was highly uninspiring so we didn't attempt it. The outdoor pool was very cold and the water was quite cloudy. Pool side service, however, was great. The indoor pool is only accessible free of charge between 7pm and 9pm each day (despite the length of our stay) unless the spa package is booked. Again, not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel. The majority of staff looked glum and did not enjoy interaction with guests. Perhaps some training should be given on customer service. Not a hotel I would wish to return to any time soon. A lot needs to be done to freshen the hotel and bring the standard up.
