This property definitely needs updated. I was in one room, only to find out the TV didn't work and neither did the room telephone. I had to repack everything and go to a different room. Once i was settled in this room, i discovered the air conditioning didn't work. I couldn't get any local channels on the TV and half the other channels wouldn't come in. This experience was frustrating to say the least.

Beds in room squeaked with every move. Ceiling tile in bathroom lifted up/caving in. Polite staff and easy check in/out

Bed was very uncomfortable and facility overall very dated. I didn’t think there were “tube” TVs still out there! Avoid rooms on the street side especially on the weekend as it is very noisy. Had an issue with the AC after check in and the handyman was gone for the day so we had to change rooms. Staff was very curteous.

Dirty and unpleasant atmosphere. Very pricey for what you get.

Well all I can say is that upon entering the garage I got a very uncomfortable feeling but went in and checked in anyway... the front desk clerk was friendly and did a wonderful job but still feeling uneasy went up and checked our room out . Got off the elevator and it was creepy feeling to say the least... I felt like we were only one on floor and we checked our room even though it seemed cleaned but not a comfortable feeling... we left and needless to say without saying anything we ended up going else where and renting a room ... they need updates and something to make you feel like you don’t have to sleep with one eye open... I trusted my gut cause it is usually right... sorry Avalon

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful,,,, didn't like that the ice machines on most floors didn't work and no tv remote in the room

Hotel in SERIOUS need of updates and painting. We walk in to this grand lobby and check in with a super sweet girl and then just went down hill from there. Other employee is answeing phone, covering the phone talking about how this customer is on their 'creeper' list...just what you want to hear when checking in with 2 little kids. Finally park and get in the elevator (which you have to go up stairs to get to) and the elevator finally comes...only 1 works and it stops on EVERY floor. Finally get up to the 6th floor and the room is subpar at best. You have to apparently request a mini fridge, bed was horrible, sheets were paper, rooms were stained and wallpaper was ripped. The ceiling had a huge yellow water stain, which gave the room a musty smell. My oldest daughter went over to look out the window and the wooden window frame was literally crumbling. Best part of the whole stay was sharing horror stories of the other guest waiting for the elevator. Blood and urine on sheets, no blankets, no towels...you name it, we heard it. We joked when we left telling our kids to 'waive goodbye to the hotel amd say never see you again!' Because we undoubtedly wont be back.

This place is a shell of what used to be. Poorly repaired cieling leaks moldy bathroom one set of elevators been broken for who knows how long and the other barely working. What hotel still has tube non high def TVs? Dirty covers over steel chairs in breakfast area. Breakfast is a joke. The list is endless.

Over all we enjoyed our stay. The tub nozzle was very hard to pull out to activate the water

I checked out a few hours after checking in due to finding a Bed Bug crawling across the bed. I was so upset that i just checked out. Front Desk clerk offer to switch my room , but i was so upset that i just checked out. No plans to ever stay there again.

This is an absolutely atrocious hotel. Do not stay here...the price might be tempting, but you'll regret it. This ownership of this hotel has not invested a single dollar towards maintenance, aesthetics, cleanliness or upgrades since the day the hotel was built. This hotel needs to be torn down and started over. The lobby entrance in the parking garage is disgusting, the shower was missing a drain plug, no-one made up out room during the day, there was no spare bedding in the room, the breakfast was sub-par, the A/C didn't work, the shower was cold! Disgraceful!

Will definitely be staying again can't wait to come back

Convenient. Safe. Effiently operated by a very nice staff. Location downtown can't be beat. Stayed there many times in the last few months and always satisfied

I get there getting ready to close for renovation, since that’s the case they should be charging WAY WAY WAY less for there rooms. For $20 more bucks could have stood at an UPDATED hotel near the water. No hot water at certain times, toilet needed extra time flushing, tv VERY VERY old & remote didn’t work, breakfast a joke. A plus? Parking and that’s about it.

Staff was friendly but man, the parking was not clearly labeled, the elevator was "acting up" my husband and I almost saw someone get slashed in half trying to get in the elevator because it apparently doesn't have a sensor to see/feel a person is in the way. I think everything in our room was held together with drywall screws. Wallpaper coming of the wall? Drywall screw. The light switch/outlet in the bathroom was basically falling out of the wall. We couldn't get hot water at all. I'm glad we only had to be there one night. Even that was too much. And the breakfast gross too. Everything was cold and rubbery.

Room Access Door is not working properly. Every time I need to change access cards.

Checking in was the best part of the stay. Everything went downhill from there. Day one. Our bathroom was not clean. Day two. Only hot water in shower in AM they fix that with no hot water at all. After four visits to the front desk finally fixed. Breakfast consisted of over ripe fruit oatmeal packets and cold coffee. Day three. One of two elevators broke down. Bathroom out of soap and tolit paper after cleaning. Parking garage very dimly lit no parking lines cars parked anywhere. Day four. Elevator still not working the wait was very long stair well were crowded with other guest. Upon check out ask to speak to manager was told it would be awhile because there others awaiting to see him. I just left

Super dated and dirty. Breakfast was just bread and cereal

Dear Guest, we appreciate your feedback on your last stay with us and are happy to hear that you liked our staff. It is strange to hear that you thought our beds were uncomfortable as we usually get a lot of compliments for them. Please understand that there is little the hotel can do about noise from outside, we are after all downtown. Marion Guest Relations

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the hotel wasn't able to fulfill your standards. Please remember that you chose to come to Erie during the busiest time of the year so prices are higher.Nevertheless we were still the cheapest property in town. Marion Guest Relations

Elizabeth, thank you for your detailed feedback. We are happy to hear about your positive check-in experience. Nevertheless, we apologize that you were not able to enjoy your stay and that hotel wasn't able to exceed your expectations. It is very disappointing to hear how much you let other guests influence your opinion of the hotel and that non of this was brought up to the staff's attention. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in finding you another hotel should you return to this area. Marion Guest Relations
