Spent two nights here with our ringette team. The location of the hotel feels like it's in the middle of no-where - very industrial. I was concerned when we checked into the room and found the complementary ear plugs to muffle the sound from the train! I did not experience any issue with train noise. The rooms were clean and modern. The hotel did it's best to accommodate our group. The pool and water slide was popular with the girls, although everyone complained about how strong the chlorine was in the pool and some families had to go and buy eye-drops. Even the parents sitting by the edge of the pool complained about sore eyes from the chlorine. The elevator is ridiculously slow and there is only one elevator. Lots of time was spent waiting for the elevator. The complementary breakfast was great. Lots of options and the pancake machine was a hit. I wish I had one at my house. Great place to stay with a team or a stop over flight. I wouldn't stay here if you want to check out Edmonton or the surrounding area. The only restaurant near by is in the other Holiday Inn across the parking lot. There were some fast food options at the end of the service road. I did see lots of delivery guys bringing food from, I assume, restaurants located in Leduc.
the hotel in Nisku is great if you are flying in or out of the edmonton airport. It is a fairly new building so there was nothing to complain about as far as quality and cleanliness. The staff was friendly. Only complaint would be that it is a bit more money than I expected, but still not a bad value for a decent hotel.
Our boys volleyball team stayed and it was a great place. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. Would recommend the hotel to anyone. The location was easy to find, staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms are good, convenient & at a fair price. Breakfast & wifi isn't too bad, usually we'd give a higher rating but customer service was disappointing. Booked the park & fly package. First day they never booked our airport shuttle (even tho I called to double check) and we were stuck in the lobby (very) early the morning waiting for the next shuttle. On our return found the front desk staff curt & borderline rude. If you're not in a rush then it's an Ok place to stay.
For the price paid it was a very good room. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good with a decent choice of hot items (including fresh pancake making machine). Would definitely consider staying there again
We stayed two nights at this location while attending a wedding. This Holiday Inn Express is located side by side with a Holiday Inn. Nice clean establishment. Rooms are standard Holiday Inn Express. Clean and functional with adequate hardware. Manage and front desk staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was nice, hot and adequate. Free internet and parking. Close to Edmonton International Airport and 30 minutes from Edmonton.
I expected more from a Holiday Inn Express. Though the staff were friendly, they appeared always rush as it seemed understaffed. The breakfast was fine but too small for the number of guests. Our room was close to the elevator which was loud however the rooms were very nice. I don't think we will stay here in the future.
First we walk into our double queen suite and the first thing we notice is the horrible smell of cigarette smoke!! It was so strong we had to change rooms! But had to downgrade cause there was no other rooms. Hotel staff could care less. So we tried to use the cart for our luggage only to realize there is ONE CART for the two hotels!! So we had to haul all our bag with our kids to a different tower the room was more modern but very dirty hall doors and the bathroom was soooo small you had to shimmy in and out. In the morning we notice BLOOD on our blankets!!! So gross!!!! Never never never again! If you enjoy comfort and a good stay DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
We stayed here the night before an early morning flight. The hotel was clean, the room great, they had an option to grab a 'to-go' bag if you had to leave prior to the restaurant opening for breakfast, which was great. The small issue we had was that the keys we had didn't work and had to go back to the front desk to get new ones, but that's really nothing major. There is a train that is near the hotel, and ear plugs were provided in the room by the hotel. I'm not a heavy sleeper, and didn't use the ear plugs and never heard a thing.
The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. When there was a minor mix up with our reservation the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Very comfortable hotel. The kids enjoyed the water slide as well. Definitely recommend if you need a hotel in the area
