Comfort Inn West Edmonton3.0 out of 5.0

This is a pet friendly place that is conveniently located near West Edmonton mall and other amenities. It is not a 5 star, so don't expect luxury, but if you have pets and want to be near the mall, then this is suitable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were ok. Would stay again when traveling with pets.
89$ a night. What more can be said, its got a great location, its about a 5 minute drive to the West Edmonton Mall. The bed is decent, we stayed in a queen bed. TV was a flat screen. Cable is regular no TV box which was kind of weird but again 89$ made sense. No bells and whistles here but its clean, cheap and decent location. Im giving it a 4/5 based on value. If this was a $150 night, I would be rating it at a 2/5 but the price is always worth sacrificing some bells and whistles. A final note would be, if you are looking for a cheap one or two nights close to the mall then this is your place. There is no weird stains or markings, its clean and cheap. Thanks Comfort Inn.
This is the second time we've used this Inn, hoping another room would have a softer bed. but not so. The premesis are clean and looked after. Staff were friendly and helpful. I do like the lower rooms so one can park the car outside the door making it easy to unload and load the car. Rooms are reasonably large with a small fridge and microwave. If we were staying more than two nights i would find somewhere else with a more comfortable be. Howeveer on the whole we were quite satisfied.
Was a weekend when the prices were high, was a solid 3 star experience. On the dated side, the AC had dust piles on the frame, hit my foot on the metal bed leg, see stain wipes/smudges on the door. Didn't hear much noise, bed was comfy. I think it's pricier than other places I've stayed. Location is close to a couple restaurants & shops & close (by car) to the West Edmonton Mall. The young lady at the checkin counter was pleasant & professional. The building doesn't have a sign itself so was quite strange at first.
I stay at this hotel frequently as it is conveniently located , it is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants , shopping is quite handy and very easy access to highway. I find it very comfortable , the staff is very good .
We booked a fairly last minute room on the weekend with no issue! We had arrived around 11pm, and the young front desk clerk was very professional and nice. It was an easy check in. The room was clean and average sized, with a comfortable bed. The walls were a tad thin which I noticed in the morning, but not the previous night so sleep was not affected. I would definitely stay again.
This was our first time staying at this hotel. The front staff was very rude and not welcoming, we had to wait to get into our room at first. They said they would call when ready, I ended up having to call them to check because I didn't receive a call and sure enough it was ready. Also, there was a big event happening at the mall when we went there. All rooms had people coming back after midnight. We arrived and went to our friend room, knocked on the door. No answer, then went to our room to sleep. he next morning we got a $ 150 noise charge. Because someone had a baby right next door. Which apparently a simple knock ruined there night. Absolutely ridiculous money grab. Will never stay there again!
Hotel is in easy walking distance of several main stores, as well as Cora's Restaurant for breakfast. The hotel suited our needs perfectly - good value and good location. The bathroom was very nice with updated fixtures. The walls were thin (easy to hear people talking in the hall) however it was not a busy weekend and this was not a problem. Front desk staff were friendly.
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel while in Edmonton. We went to an oiler's game to celebrate my husbands birthday. We had a great time at the game, however our time with the comfort inn was anything but great. In fact I would say it was pretty bad. First off I had pre paid for the hotel through a third party website and apparently the payment didn't go through, but when I had called to verify that the room was already paid for a few days before we left for the trip, the girl at the front desk said it went through and everything was good to go. Little did I know, when we got there to check in I was very rudely told that the room was not paid for and that I not only had to pay for the room again but I also had to pay double the deposit. Needless to say I was not happy.... But I paid the deposit and the room again, while being assured by the front desk that I will get my deposit back as soon as I check out the next day. Well that's when things got interesting. The next morning we woke up to the power being out at around 7:30am. we hung out in the room getting ready to go home, while the power was still out in the hotel. That alone is no big deal.... Power outages happen all the time.... although it was just the hotel that was affected and not the attached restaurant. What was a big deal was that when we went down to inquire when things would be fixed the front desk had no clue.... Not only that but they were extremely rude. On top of it all half the time there was what I am guessing was a housekeeper, judging by her uniform, sitting at the front desk the whole time, and budding into conversations between the guests and the front desk staff.... This lady was probably the rudest of all the staff we encountered. We then asked how we were going to get our deposit back and they claimed they would "mail" it to us..... And that it would take 2-3 weeks! We tried to wait as long as we could to check out, even went to the mall and walked around for a couple hours..... But still when we got back, at around 1:30pm nothing had changed. We live about 7 hrs away and I had to work the next day so we were forced to leave. The manager took our information and gave a half hearted apology. Here's to hoping I actually get my deposit back, and I can definitely say that we will not be staying there again. Too bad to because I had a great stay the last time we were there and had recommended them to Friends. Never again!
Stayed here for 2 nights for a stop over before heading to Yellowknife. Quiet hotel hidden by malls on a very busy street. I booked this hotel primarily for my dog and its rate. Easy check in. Room #114 is spacious and clean for one person and a small dog. Main floor rooms have a patio door. Employee was nice to accommodate my request of having a room on the 1st floor for easy access. No breakfast offered. Only complimentary coffee. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel and they do room service. Hotel is close to everything you might need (restaurant, banks, stores) and you're only a couple km from the West Edmonton Mall. Highly recommended!
