Fantastic position right on the Royal Mile (castle end). Easy to get into and with a handy corner shop downstairs for supplies. Good variety of nice china, glassware, kettle, half a toaster, well lit, comfortable furniture.There are a number of maintenance items that need attention, though. There is no facilities guide - one shower wasn't working when we arrived and I had to contact the owner to find where the fusebox is (we got an instant reply). The windows have broken sashcords so you can't open them and they look like they haven't been cleaned in a year (could be the Edinburgh air). There also 50 fairly easy stairs up to the flat - hey, it's an old city, you can probably expect that everywhere.Back to location - two excellent pubs serving great beer and food within 2 minutes walk, Waverley Station 5 minutes walk away and history oozing our of every brick in the neighbourhood. I'd stay here again if they'd leave some instructions, fix the shower in the main bedroom and clean the windows,

This property was perfect for walking around Edinburgh. Yes, it is in the heart of the city so it has traffic and construction noise and yes, it is in a old building so the stairs with suitcases can be a challenge if you have mobility issues, BUT it is a very nice space that is comfortable and it easily accommodated our family of 5 adults.

The location is fantastic! Quick walk to the castle or palace or meeting points for tours. Easily accommodated our 5 adults. The stairs can be tricky as it is on the 2nd floor (which means 2 up from the ground level). It can feel like a lot when you have walked the city all day. But that did not stop us from enjoying it.

Great property located right on the Royal Mile that has a very convenient little grocery market right below it that helps with those food items that you always need! The host was so communicative and a pleasure to work with and the apartment itself was perfect for our group and the 2 days we stayed in Edinburgh! Great restaurants and shopping just steps away from where your staying. If you have a car to park, there is a garage a couple of blocks away that you can pay to use and it's an easy walk back to the location! Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed 3 nights in mid July 2024. The checkin process was super simple and the host was very accommodating to any questions and/or requests. The location of the apartment was perfect for us. Perfect location to everything, especially for a short stay in Edinburgh. Convenient to train station and local tourist attractions, restaurants, etc.
Plenty of room in flat, very comfortable for larger group. Each bedroom has a key to the flat. NOTE: stairs up two flights would be hard if you had issues. We felt very safe and had easy access to the Royal Mile.
Jon, our host, was very help, accommodating, and responded quickly to our inquiries and group needs.

Everything was exactly as described. It was simple to locate, easy to access, and the amenities were ideal. The location couldn't have been better. It was a quick walk to anything and everything. Would highly recommend this, and our host, Jon, was accessible and quick to respond with any questions.
