Private newly renovated rustic & modern 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath log cabin built in the 1980's with logs from the property. 34 acres of private trails to hike, bike, ATV/snowmobile, cross country ski, snowshoe, pick berries, and hunt through mixed woods, with a small pond and a creek in the back.
Close (<150 feet) legal access to ATV/snowmobile trails at Dunbar Memorial Park on a Marinette County approved route. Lakes/rivers to fish, waterfalls, downhill ski, whitewater raft, & tube/canoe access within 30 mins. Full kitchen, BBQ grill, & campfire for meals. The wraparound covered porch is a favorite place to relax and enjoy a meal.
Traditional log cabin comfort with modern appliances, cookware, bakeware, instapot, crockpots, a full sized double-sink, and 2nd bar sink(reverse osmosis water) in the island to entertain. USB outlet for your electronics. Wi-fi DSL access and a cell phone tower 1/2 mile away. Forest views out every window. The bedrooms are all upstairs and have blackout curtains/blinds. Box fans and sound machines are in each bedroom. If you keep the windows open at night in the summer you can hear the local wildlife. The central air will keep you cool on those rare hot and humid evenings.
The standby electric generator will automatically turn on if there are any power outages.
Yard games, board games, puzzles, toys for all ages. Bicycles, fishing poles, sleds are also available for most ages. Foragers will find a variety of mushrooms, berries, apples, rhubarb, asparagus, chives, onions plus many other edibles. Great area to explore and quietly relax, plus 2 wonderful restaurants less than 2 miles away. Playground and park 1/2 mile away with stocked fishing pond for children.

ATV trip

Amazing property and outstanding hosts. Cabin was super clean, had pretty everything we needed including a boot dryer which came in very handy on the rainy weekend of ATV riding. Tricia was super responsive and even brought us a grill for the fire pit (that we couldn't use because of the rain). Access trail to the main DunGood Riders trails is literally feet down the road. A place to get fuel is right off the access trail. They had a rack of books and brochures for stuff to do around the area (again, very handy on a rainy weekend). We will most definitely be staying again, with luck again in the fall.

Wonderful cabin, great for riding the atv trails.

We had a great time staying here while doing our Fall color ride. There was plenty of room for parking and the yard is beautiful and very private. Pictures do not do justice. Can’t wait to go back again!

This property is one of the best we’ve been to!!! Great outdoor space, clean, well equipped with whatever you need, and the owners are very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend to anyone that wants a no hassle/worry get away. Would be a great place for those with 4 wheelers and snowmobiles. Lots of trails around, including on the property. Stayed here over Christmas 2021 with our family of 8. Property and the cabin was amazingly beautiful. The log cabin was so authentic yet had all the amenities to make the stay amazingly comfortable. Owners were just awesome and had decorated the cabin with Christmas lights and ornaments to make the entire experience feel so charming. We had one extra person and they went out of their way to bring in another bed – need more people like them in this world! We built a snowman, hung out around the fire, and winter hiked the private 34 acres – snow shoes and sleds were also on the property and the girls loved it. Tons of aged firewood and kindling to get a fire going, even in snow! We’ve done Door County many times and have rented log cabins before, but this place is quite magical. It’s not so large that everyone is off doing their own thing. Yet it’s roomy and intimate enough that you get to really bond and connect. As much as we do enjoy Door County, Dunbar and the surrounding area isn’t a ‘tourist trap’. This place has such a natural ‘real’ feel that you can’t help but to decompress and unplug. If you’re looking for Starbucks every few blocks or 5-star culinary delights, this is probably not the place. But if you’re looking for a genuine authentic experience to spend with family or friends in an amazing setting, this place – Weaver Cabin – is a gem!!!

Cozy beautifully kept cabin

This cabin was exceptionally clean and inviting. Everything was exactly as described and better. My family and I enjoyed a great weekend there. We went for a weekend of atv riding. Trail access was a very close. Property owner was great to work with. Great property with lots of wildlife right out the back door. Plenty of parking for our trailers. I am almost hesitant to leave a great review for the fact I would want it available for myself anytime I want lol! Highly recommend this place.
